This restaurant came highly recommended for their Brunch We took our grown family for Brunch and it was terrific. We went back for a lunch event with our family again. We know if we tell our kids we are going to Spencer's, they will be certain to join us. Great food, wine list & other beverages and very nice location. Looking forward to the summer now to go again?
We went for a birthday lunch, brunch would have been great but it was Family Day Monday.
We had the Taste of Burlington. A little disappointed in the menu. The dessert eclair was disappointing. Service was great, location is great though..
Best brunch money can buy and plenty of options for all types of eaters.
Wonderful experience, good food, excellent service.
Lovely atmosphere as usual. Good service, food was mostly just ok. Totally fresh ingredients and fine taste, but not a ton of attention to detail or complexity of flavour (crab dip good but under heated, and a bit salty, bread a bit stale, fish tacos nice but a bit lacking in flavour potential).
Still a big Spencer’s fan :)
Fabulous ambiance. Modern but comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake. Very good service. Good food. Would definitely go again.
Excellent staff, very friendly and accomodating . Great food and stunning veiw, well worth the drive.
It was great except for the fact that my husband and I were freezing cold for most of our meal. The waitress did kindly try to make it better by speaking to the manager and raising the heat but there was no difference. Other than that everything was really good and our server did a great job at taking care of us
We enjoyed St. Valentine's Day at Spencer's.
Looking forward to returning to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary July 12, 2018.
Our server was terrible, did not pay attention to his tables, despite the fact that it was lunch and they weren't busy. A big disappointment. How hard it is to get tea right??
$90 for 2 burgers, and 2 drinks, tip and bad service.
As usual, it was an excellent brunch experience. The hospitality was outstanding, particularly our server Melissa. The ambiance is fantastic, particularly in the warmer weather when the patio overlooking the lake is open.
The brunch was superb with more options than we could possibly have managed to try without over stuffing ourseleves. Chef John was a delight; very personable and attentive. Our experience could not have been better.
Fish was good. Pork was well cooked but presentation unimpressive; side of gnocci was terrible, I wouldn't call that gnocci, and it was paired with cauliflower, not a wise combination. Service was very good and it has a nice atmosphere.
We celebrated my husbands birthday @ Spencer’s & we enjoyed the Sunday Brunch.
There was a good selection & variety of dishes& food.
The service was good as well.
I started with the prosciutto-wrapped pear and followed with the striploin steak. The food was quite good, but nothing spectacular. Lovely atmosphere. However, I have eaten here on four separate occasions and the kitchen is always remarkably slow.
Dont think twice make yourself a reservation this second. The food service and ambience is worth driving for. Anytime any season.
Value for experience+++
The brunch was lovely! The food was delicious, the service was great, it was very good value and the dining room is bright, cheerful and beautifully decorated.
Will be returning soon!
We thought the food and service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and professional. Some of the hot food was cold, otherwise, I would recommend to my family and friends. I noted it was my sister's 60th birthday on the reservation, but there was not a word mentioned during our stay. I cannot, however, wait until our next visit. Thank you
The brunch is absolutely awesome. We have been before and we took two people with us this time and they thought it was incredible. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the food and atmosphere.
Very nice place good service. Low noise level which was nice because we could have conversation . Coming back again for sure.
Overall, it was a nice experience due to the atmosphere/ambiance of the place, but our mains took a while to arrive, and our waiter disappeared at times. Also, my steak was barely warm when it arrived.
I was very disappointed with my lunch , I orderedFallafel on a pita. The Fallafel was like hockey pucks, no sauce and the pita itself was like dried out paper. The waiter never came back to see how our meal was, so I iate as I was so hungry. He was almost rude when I finally got him to bring me some sauce.
Have been coming here for several, years and I don’t think I will ever go back.
I finally got to try the famous Sunday brunch here, but perhaps it's not the best to have such high expectation before going. It was definitely a nice atmosphere and a great spot for a family gathering, but the food was alright and there was nothing mindblowing. It was a good, standard brunch. The service was quite slow, so it was a bit frustrating having to find our wait staff ourselves. It would be a nice venue for any occasion (saw lots of family parties/gatherings) but I wouldn't return if i was in the mood for some great food.
My wife always wanted to go to Spence, so I wanted to surprise her on her birthday and I hate trying new places so I gave it a try and was amazed by the food variety and loved every thing I ate I really will visit more often.
The managers were late getting us to our table but were extremely apologetic and offered us free apps for our patience. All in all a very good experience for a lively night out with friends. The restaurant was loud enough that you didn’t feel like you were bothering the people at the next table if you were enjoying yourselves - but not so loud that you couldn’t hear each other talk.
Really great service. Went out of their way to accommodate special requests!
The fish taco was barely warm. Our server stopped by our table for a few seconds each time. We did have the fish reheated or replaced, but we were both disappointed and wouldn’t order it again. I thought we might have been offered a free dessert to share as I had specified that it was a birthday celebration.
I lovely spot for a business lunch. View is great both of the water around the fireplace. Service was prompt because we were on a time schedule. Nothing too exciting but well-prepared. My colleague had the lentil soup and salad and I had the fish tacos withSalad. Tables are not too close so we could have a confidential conversation.
Amazing brunch, tons of food and variety
Excellent food except crab legs! Crab legs were dry. Service was great and view was spectacular.
