   Our server was so attentive. He made our outing a real pleasure. Mother's Day Buffet with lots to choose from . All good. Downside, very busy and parking a challenge.

   Service was definitely below par for the standards expected from such a luxury restaurant with prices to match. HAd no utensils on the table. Requested a great water view for my mother's 90th birthday and got stuck against the wall on the patio near the staff break room building and continually smelled cigarette smoke. The chef should know that this affects the taste if the food and the ambience. No soap in the women's washroom either. Setver barely came to the table and never once checked into see how we liked the food. The cost for the meal did not correlate with the service. Think twice before dropping $600 for a party of 6 here. Sorry, won't be back and won't recommend for a special occasion.

   I was really looking forward to dining here after hearing good things and making the effort to drive over an hour to enjoy a waterfront meal. Unfortunately, the experience was a big let down. I ordered a well-done steak and clearly asked for no pink inside. What I received was very pink, with an unpleasant amount of fat, gristle, and even a grey muscle running through the meat. For a premium-priced steak, the quality was disappointing. I sent it back, and by the time the new order arrived, I had waited another 40 minutes. On the bright side, the fries and salad were actually very good. But the drinks were filled with so much ice that I barely got more than a few sips out of them. Overall, it felt like a waste of money and time. I rarely write reviews, but I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously.

   We visited Spencer’s for an early Mother’s Day celebration. The food was amazing, all 6 of us were very impressed with what we got. The bottomless mimosas were worth every penny, and our server Steve kept them flowing. The service was amazing, it was very busy at the restaurant but the service did not suffer for that. Overall we were very happy with our experience and will be back!

   In all fairness, I'm a season traveler with relations to multiple eateries. We arrived for the specials at 5 pm. To our dismay, only 2 items out of 5 on the short list was available. Then we ordered apps off the main menu. Maple syrup fav missing on Brussels, Crab cakes were soggy, and the tempora shrimp was over cooked. I had to requested sauces and seasoning on the side as favor was deeply lacking in each bite. This is not the spot for those with a palette for taste, but each plate was well presented visually. The demographic along the waterfront is changing and the menu needs to reflect a new elevated zest in cuisine. I recommend Spencer's as great waterfront social spot for its selection of local wines, relaxing cocktails and french fries.
