Food was good and prices OK considering you are in a hotel. Service could have been a little better / quicker, but the server was friendl. But in a pinch this worked. I will say that this hotel, no matter what venue you are at, pool bar, The Place or this restaurant has the best margaritas.

The food was excellent! Had the crustini and the topping was full of flavor, the base was thin and fresh. The pizza was better than we had expected; everything was freshly made. Thin crust and plenty of all the toppings. The server was friendly, however kept disappearing so service was very slow. We asked and she said that she had to go to the Lobby bar for drinks if the smaller unattended bar in dining room didn't have what she needed. Not her fault...Mgmnt needs to address issue based on reservations and it was busy. However, we will go again to enjoy the food !!

Calamari and mussels appetizers were pretty good, but portions were very small. One pizza came out burnt and while the other wasn’t burnt it wasn’t very good either. Two in our party liked their pasta dishes, but they were small as well. Wine list selection was sparse. Service was fine.

We enjoyed our dinner at SPC and appreciated them making our daughter her favorite pizza which they no longer featured, but had all the ingredients for making. The calamari is always a favorite of ours with the balsamic glaze and banana peppers as well as the fennel sausage pasta. Great dinner!

Cheers!

The pizzas were fantastic but the service was not up to par. Highly recommend the Carbonara pizza although the waiter did not encourage me to order it.

Garlic knots are way too greasy and dripping of oil. The lobster ravioli was not very good. The mussels were decent/average.
A very basic dining experience.

The Restaurant was almost empty at dinner time on a Saturday night and the wait time for the server to come to our table was still nearly 10 minutes to even take our drink order.

Pricing reasonable for resort restaurant. Virtual empty when we arrived at 8:00pm. After food was served service follow-up suffered - closing for evening was priority.

The host is the first person who meets you at the front. So this is your first experience. We mentioned in our reservation that we'd like booth, since this was our first time there. When we entered and actually saw the restaurant, we changed our minds and asked if they could seat us by the window instead. There were PLENTY tables available by the window. The hostess momentarily responded that ALL of those tables were unfortunately reserved already and we get the booth as we requested. Guess what - we spent about 2 hours at the restaurant and all those windows tables were still available. This is not new to me, I know hosts do that in different restaurants, however, I don't know if they realize that this really ruins the whole experience. Especially if you sit there, and look at those empty tables and wide available window tables.
The food - pizza is surprisingly soggy and disappointing, because the call Sirocco Pizza, we expected a better pizza. Salad was somewhat not so fresh. Fried calamari was probably the best choice.
Will never be back again and do not recommend this place.

We had a great dinner at SPC. My dad who is a picky pizza lover said it was delicious- that is a huge compliment from him. The ingredients are fresh, the atmosphere is nice with a beautiful view of the lake. There is an upstairs area near the bar with communal tables that would be fun for informal drinks and dinner with a group of friends. Valet parking is complimentary for guests dining at the restaurant.

Our first reservation was for a Sunday evening. Received a confirmation and arrived via UBER to walk down the stairs only to find that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. What? I suppose that this is both Open Tables and Sirocco's issue of not communicating, but that was a bad omen, one we should have heeded. However, having a fond history at the former gem Sirocco, we decided to give the restaurant another go hoping that somehow the former fine dining establishment had morphed into a more updated, modern reiteration of its former self. We were disappointed.

It's truly a shame that the name Sirocco is still associated with this new pizza restaurant. It is certainly not the same dining experience, quality of food, nor service of its former glory. We understand that times change, restaurants need to refocus, but this was truly a disappointment.

The service was horrific. Two people waited 15mins (timed) to get any sort of attention from the wait staff. Ordered drinks and dinner at which the one glass of wine took 9mins to arrive.
Food tasted fine, in large portions (pasta) but clearing the table room a long time, with one water glancing at the dishes, walking away, the deciding to clear them. Lots of kids running around (not the restaurants fault) but not somewhere to go unless you’re staying at the hotel.

Restaurant was super loud due to a large conference. Our food took long to come out and the tomatoes on the caprese salad were over ripe and included the top of the tomato (where the stem is). Pizza was good but all in all it was quite a hectic experience especially with the loud group that was yelling and using profanities at their table.

Pizza was a huge disappointment. I actually love fire oven pizza therefore I anticipated it being bubbly and have a yummy char, but I have tasted fast food pizza with more flavor and char.
The dough was flavorless no and hard as a rock almost unedible. Our server was so rude to our table. I traveled with 2 children and they wanted more to drink, especially after a day in the sun God forbid they ask for a refill. Not only was he upset about us asking him for something he would talk to us with a neck snap! Watch out! Never again! I would consider to go BUT I think Domino's is better!

Tried to make a reservation on-line for 10 at 6PM. Only gave me options of 430 and 730 or later. So I lowered it to 8 people, and got the same. Lowered it to 6 people, and 6pm was then available. We got there, and the restaurant was empty. There must have been maybe 3 other groups seated in the entire restaurant. Note: not faulting the restaurant, I guess, but maybe an on-line problem. Menu looked good. We thought we were all going to have pizza but we all had pasta instead. RE: Servide. Someone was training someone. But we could never figure out who was training whom. 3 of us told the waiter how we wanted the checks broken up, while we were ordering. but that all came out incorrect, and we had to wait for them to redo. And the waiter kept arguing about how he said I told him to do it. I stated 3 of us told him, not just me. The person who brought out the food (was not the waiter) had no idea who got what. He looked completely confused. Re: the food. it was just so-so. I had a side of meatballs (3 meatballs), and I was surprised when i got my bill, to see they were $10 - which was more than my pasta meal and more than my caesar salad. Oh, the caesar was very bland. None of us were impressed with this restaurant.

We enjoyed out visit, the food was good, the atmosphere, ok. Our only concern, and we have noticed this with other restaurants in The Desert, the server announces quite loudly prices/money details to the whole
table while you are trying to be discreet with ordering wines etc. This practice is a "service industry 101" no no in most restaurants, so I think it is a matter of training.

This space was once occupied by a fine dining Italian restaurant. This weak attempt at a Neapolitan pizza restaurant is a poor substitute. The sauce was tasteless. Meatball starter tasted like frozen pre-made meatballs although the marinara sauce on the meatballs was good (better than the the pizza). If you want true Neapolitan pizza go to Pierro's PizzaVino in neighboring Palm Desert. That's the real thing. Finally, the drinks we not just overpriced they were grotesquely overpriced. $12 for a glass of wine that the retail price of the whole bottle is about $14.00, never mind they purchased it wholesale. $7.25 for a bottle of beer that costs $1.25 in the grocery store. Its no wonder the place was empty on a Saturday night. Not recommended.

The food was very good, once we were allowed to deviate from a Valentine pre-fixe dinner which was "only one offered" which we did not know. I have never been to a restaurant where only one choice of price was offered and what if you did not want 3 courses or what they were serving? But because we did not want pre-fixe dinner, we were seated in bar area rather than dining room even though we ordered dinner from menu.
When we arrived we were told by valet that it is $8.00 parking and when I asked if they validate I was told not at Sirocco. I asked at the restaurant and was told because this is not an upscale restaurant. If that is the case you would not know it from their overpriced wine list. This is supposed to be the "new" SPC Sirocco which is mostly Pizza/Pasta which is more casual. The least expensive bottle of wine on menu is $38.00 and $10. by the glass. They should have something about $24.00 a bottle or less by glass like they have in the bar for guests that wish to have a simple glass or bottle of wine with food that is very good but not gourmet. They also do not serve bread with salad, only can order off menu and Parmesan cheese rather than grated is brought to table in a jar.
I would recommend to my friends based on food and service, our server was very nice, but would tell them in advance about parking and wine prices. Also too bad the pizza oven is out of site.

The article in the local newspaper said that the once elegant Italian restaurant Sirocco was being updated for the tastes and casual atmosphere that todays diners desire. What a mistake!!!! I was a regular at the original Sirocco, but will not frequent this new rendition ever again. As one enters the room it is nice with a view of the man made water features, but you soon discover that the total experience is far from nice. The decor feels cold and cheaply done. The restaurant was far from full, but it was so loud we could barely talk and the lights were turned up way, way to high which added to the uncomfortable experience. Our table for 6 was very unstable and rocked with any movement which the waiter witnessed, but ignored.
The salads were nicely presented and there was a good selection of appetizers, pasta and pizza, but with todays carb conscious diners I find the change from a restaurant that offered wonderful meats, chicken and seafood as well as pasta perplexing.

Very nice wine list, but on the pricey side for the offerings made!
Selections were offered in 6 oz., 9 oz., and a bottle. My wife ordered a 9 oz. California Chard., and when it came it was obviously not a 9 oz. pour. We complained to the waiter who insisted that it was a standard pour, yet other tables receiving the same were obviously different. There was no remedy offered, nor did we push the issue, wanting to just have a nice dinner for two. We switched to beer after that!

The SPC inside of the Reniance Esmeralda needs a lot of help. As we arrived we were greeted by a hostess that had a very curt attitude. We choose to have a drink in the hotel lobby while waiting for our table. The waiter was very slow and appeared to be a bit put off that we would sit in his section.
After finishing our drinks we were seat at a very basic table looking out at a stunning view of the grounds. We started off with garlic knots to share, they were undercooked. I guess that occurred because a group of chefs were all standing at the hostess stand instead of being in the kitchen.
We chose to order two pizzas to share. The menu noted that they were Neapolitan pizza and to expect some chare. I know great pizza so I was looking forward. The margarita pizza was okay at best the tomato topping had been over worked and was more of a sauce instead of pieces of tomato. The crust was blonde and undercooked. The fennel sausage pizza was undercooked as well. The topping on that were good.
The waiters were MIA they came for the order, they delivered the the order and delivered the check and never came to the table for any other reason. This restaurant needs help and leadership.

First time back after rename, there needs to be more effort on training and presence of management. Dinner was marginal at best, the service was spotty, yet the waiter cared, just
obvious that the professional training does not exist. Would love to see this location thrive..

I had heard of Sirocco's reputation, and reading on Open Table: finest Italian restaurant in the Choachella Valley, AAA three diamonds, It was obvious this was the fine dining venue I was looking for.

It's not. It changed to a pizza place without changing the Open Table writeup. Great disappointment.

Me and My family stayed at the Esmeralda for the weekend and booked our reservations to this restaurant. The PROS on this place: 1. Great attention from the server 2. Food was very delicious and fresh 3. Were treated with some goodies from the chef 4. Room setting is very beautiful 5. MOM was happy CONS: 1. We ordered a bottle of wine but never received it (which I did not make a big deal of it) 2. The lake is very low and the look it kind of painful to the eye. Besides that, I would recommend that place for sure and it's great that you don't need to go anywhere outside of your hotel.

From the moment my wife and I entered the restaurant, we were impressed with the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, yet did not hover over us making us feel uncomfortable. We chose this restaurant to have our anniversary dinner at and were not disappointed. The two and a half hour dinner was exquisite ending with a superb cappuccino and complimentary Limoncello (the best my wife has ever had).
