The rainbow salad was delicious and it was a pleasant surprise to see the Bella pizza back on the menu. Our server, John was excellent, A++! The dining room looks a bit tired and is in need of a makeover but

I called to schedule a 4th of July reservation for Spasso on June 10. The woman who answered said she thought they were open, but to go to open table and if there are openings they’re open. Went to open table & booked a reservation.
4th of July came went to Spasso & they were closed. Thanks for helping us celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary.
The guy working the Wine Shop next door was amazing. Super friendly, knowledgeable about champagne, and very sympathetic to the situation.
I don’t know if I’d recommend Spasso or not as we didn’t eat there, they were closed. I know I wouldn’t trust that they’re open just because you have an Open Table reservation.
I recently had dinner one day and lunch the next. Both were very good. Servers were friendly, attentive an helpful both day. The only negative is the noise level with music and other diners.
Our wait person was delightful! She moved us to a both so the cold air from register was not hitting us and was patient with two old gals deciding on what to have to lunch.
Food and service was great! We sat out on the patio - it was nice and comfortable.
The whole family loved it. Quick friendly service. We had two little kids who loved the food. Not the usual kids menu with the meatballs and spaghetti

Always had great meals and service at Spasso...but not this time. Made reservations for a family birthday, arrived ready to celebrate. Guest of honor ordered his birthday drink, only to be told that each item requested was not available (no Stella, Fulton, Absolut Citron, etc etc). After 10 minutes of this we find out they haven't been able to order alcohol for awhile due to tax issues and are out of almost everything. We should have left, but waiter was doing his best so we decided to stay for dinner. Food arrives and most of it is lukewarm-even the pizza from the oven directly behind our table. We left as quickly as we could-definitely not much of a birthday celebration after all. Just a dismal experience all around.

Spasso is always wonderful, the wait staff and hostesses are great, the food is delicious and the wine is also good. We love Spasso.

We love Spasso - it's one of our local neighborhood favorites. Over the years, it's been a reliable value, especially for trying out excellent wines at reasonable prices. Food is also great, and the menu has changed with the times. We keep coming back.

We have been to Spasso many times, but never had an experience like this one. We had a reservation, but the table was not ready. Beverage service was horrible. No bread was served. Salads were delivered after the entrees were served. Put in a booth for 4 people with a party for 5. Completely embarrassed to have brought our good friends here. Only apology to us was that it was prom night - really? prom kids cannot drink adult beverages or mess up the service or the order in which a meal should be served.

The mussels were great but had a kind of Italian bacon in them so be careful. The crabcake was so so but at least it was not dry. The Walleye had bones in it and was pretty good. The tiramisu was large soft all the way through and lousy.
Our first visit and we will be back. Friendly service, nice outdoor seating, good salads and pizzas.

Went in for mother's day dinner our server was Mack and he was spot on and awesome! Mushroom chicken risotto was delicious and my mom loved the spaghetti! Thanks for a great night!!

Would like to see more small plate and vegetarian options
Our food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Our server was quite dry and impatient, looked frazzled. The top three beers my husband tried to order were out of stock, this info delivered with zero apologies. If the service was great, it would have been five star.

Mother's Day was the first time we had visited Spasso. We had a 1:45 PM reservation for their Mother's Day brunch. I noticed that the brunch only went until 2:00 PM so I called to make sure that we would have time to partake in the buffet and the man I spoke to assured me that the buffet would remain open until at least 3:30 PM for those who had reservations.
When we arrived the restaurant was only about half full. It is a beautiful restaurant, and even though it was a busy day, there was plenty of parking. We were greeted kindly and brought to our table. We had a reservation for 5 and we were brought to a table that was set for 8, which was a little odd as there were plenty of tables in the restaurant that would have sat just the 5 of us.
The food at the buffet was really delicious. A lot of wonderful options both breakfast and lunch items. The carvery station had a beautiful selection, but it was rarely staffed so we had to keep an eye on when there was someone there in order to be served.
Overall we really loved the brunch and all of the options, I just feel that we may have arrived too late. The buffet was messy and some of the food was cold. The dessert selection was clearly more abundant earlier in the day. We noticed that many of the serving utensils had sticky handles which made the food they were used to dish up a little less appetizing. There were several families enjoying the buffet at the same time as us, but it was clear that the staff was trying to breakdown as much of the buffet as possible so that they could start setting up for dinner.
I would go back for dinner as their menu looks delicious! I would not suggest the brunch buffet again. Although the food was good, it was managed poorly and dirty. It was clear that if you want to enjoy the buffet you shouldn't make one of the later reservations. We hoped that since we paid full price for the buffet ($30 per person) we would have been given the same treatment as someone who arrived at 11 AM.
Went for a Sunday lunch for Italian but they only had brunch with breakfast food. All was good but not Italian.
We had a large party in for Mothers Day and were happily surprised when we were brought back to a party room that we didn't know existed! It was nice and quiet despite being full of people. The food was delicious, as always, with two exceptions this year, (we have had Mothers Day brunches at Spassos several): the bacon was nearly raw when I went through the line, and I didn't care for the sausage this year- it was dry and tasteless. The server did a great job keeping up with all of us and our needs.

Although we had a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes while tables were empty. Wait staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. The bistro ambiance makes for a very loud dinner.

Love the fact that they have a wine shop next door - a thousand choices. The food is very good, too, at a reasonable price for this neighborhood.

This used to be our favorite place to bring friends who haven't been to Spasso. This time was a disappointment as the food was just sub par (the menu changed since our last visit). Also, only having 5 beers on tap was a letdown. My husband loves to try new ones and he wasn't able to do that with only a few to choose from. I'm not sure we will return anytime soon. It was truly quite a difference.

The restaurant was full. We had a table of 6. We had no trouble carrying on conversations at the table. Food was excellent. Service was spot on. We will be back again very soon.

The food used to be great but the quality has decreased. The pizza and steak fondue was alright but the side of Mac-n-cheese was cold when it arrived. Then when brought back was warm but not very good.

Extremely noisy--could not hear across the table. Meatball in spaghetti raw and cold in the middle--had to send it back. Not a great experience in this price range. 1st time, and probably last time there.
