Spasso Italian Grill - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
Great food , service good value arrived table was ready our waiter was excellent. Wine was desirable as we're the succulent appetizers. As we ate our entrees the flavor of the blush gravy made me feel like I was lunching on my Tuscan patio overlooking my olive oil plantation. Truly exceptional.
Dinner was very good. Been to Spasso 3 times and never was disappointed. The wait staff , (Sam) was a very good server. Available when needed. The food at Spasso is very consistent. The Escargot was perfectly done. We had 8 people for dinner and no one was disappointed. Would recommend Spasso to all my friends.
Spasso is our go-to restaurant in our neighborhood. We entertained a relative from London who loved her choice of broccoli rab with sausage. It came with roasted potatoes and fresh zucchini and carrots. The Multepulciano red wine we chose was delicious. . We went back another night that week and had the same wine and more great meals.
This was an after show dinner. I must say that we have dined here many times, and this is the first time we have had a meal that wasn’t the best. I had veal and it was very good, my wife had the Bronzino. The fish was fishy tasting, usually it should have a sweet taste. I tasted the fish and I also thought it was fishy tasting.
Will I return to Spasso? Yes, but we will not order fish.
Loved it. Great Caesar salad and Italian wedding soup. Most delicious veal/pork ravioli. I requested marinara. Best “gravy” ever. Zappa Di peace husband said wonderful but he couldn’t finish it. Waiter very nice and suggested half Caesar salad since just for one person. Very accommodating cozy comfortable restaurant. Great service.
Chose Spasso as a meeting place for my wife and I to meet with a friend from my Army days and his wife that I hadn't seen in 50 years. It was an awesome place to do it and the food was really good that made for a great evening at a restaurant. I chose from the Opentable website. Kudo's on the listing.
From the moment we arrived we knew it would be terrific. The staff was very attentive the drinks were delicious and the food spectacular. Such a great variety of options to eat. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal immensely I would certainly recommend this restaurant and will return
Food was phenomenal but service was lacking, very long delay to order, very long delay after plates had been cleared to request check, both periods seemed to exceed 15 minutes. The kitchen was on top of their game, both in timing and quality, the waitstaff was not.
Two friends and I enjoyed a great dinner at Spasso's, a reliable standard for us. Even though two of our party love the eggplant parmigiana, we couldn't pass up the evening's pork special. It was creative, very nicely presented, and proved to be an excellent choice. We have never been disappointed with our meal or the service at this Philly gem of a restaurant.
A very good Italian dinner. Sauce was very good. Fried calamari was light and delicious. They serve a complimentary bowl of zucchini, onions and peppers, I believe. It was very flavorful. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if it was served hot rather than chilled. We enjoyed Zuppa di Pesce, gnocchi, chicken parmigiana and penne alla vodka. You could tell the pasta was homemade here. I would visit this restaurant again in the future.
Searched internet for Italian rest. in center city area. Found Spasso. Down a ways toward the river but worth going to . Portions very good, very good taste, service good. A little loud. Do not validate parking ($20). Great selection of entrees. Don't recall if they had a bar to sit at but do serve alcohol.
