Sparks Steak House was opened in 1966 by Michael and Pasquale Cetta, hence the logo 'Cetta Brothers Steak Masters'. The restaurant is still a family owned and operated business and is located in midtown Manhattan, a five minute walk from Grand Central Station and The United Nations. Join us to celebrate 50 years of business!

The restaurant is well known for excellent steaks, seafood, fresh vegetables and satisfying salads.
And of course, the huge wine list.

The service from Robert the waiter was brilliant served us with professionalism and friendliness. Made our evening a great one with wonderful memories. I had the best fillet mignon I have ever tasted. This is one special restaurant in every way Outstanding

Decent experience. Wasn’t really impressed with the steak. It was pretty tough, had a nice crust (Prime Sirloin). But then again have been spoiled by A5 and long dry-aged cuts. The hash brown potatoes were great. Service was just vanilla. A lot of elbow service and no crumbing. Expected fine dining service and it was pretty lackluster. Celebrated a birthday dinner and they didn’t seem to care. Might return but probably not.

Quality declined so not the same value it used to be. At least two wines were priced as Napa but in fact were North Coast, and the manager declined to update the price per bottle (unheard of, compared to standard practice in restaurant industry because lesser region prices lower). Tomato & onion appetizer also not the traditional thick cut style — full onion & tomato slices.

Lovely dining room, but $73 for a prime sirloin that tasted like a steak at Outback, no thanks! Very small side portions and although the waiter was pleasant, he failed to serve us; he simply dropped off the plates and left.

I am pleased that Sparks allows for one diner now. I often find myself alone for a night in NYC. The steaks are fabulous.
