Sparks Steak House
Sparks Steak House was opened in 1966 by Michael and Pasquale Cetta, hence the logo 'Cetta Brothers Steak Masters'. The restaurant is still a family owned and operated business and is located in midtown Manhattan, a five minute walk from Grand Central Station and The United Nations. Join us to celebrate 50 years of business!
The restaurant is well known for excellent steaks, seafood, fresh vegetables and satisfying salads.
And of course, the huge wine list.
Prime Sirloin Steak
A boneless shell steak from premium steers
From beef tenderloin, a gourmet's delight
Topped with roquefort cheese
Decent food but it was cold, mediocre but service was good
Everything was amazing! Would have been nice to have soft background music.
I’ve been going to spark’s for ever. Top 3 stake houses in all of New York City.
One of the best steaks in New York City excellent wine list great sides and appetizers
Happy birthday to me!
Great steaks, so many excellent but reasonably priced California Cabernets to choose from, like walking back in time, will be nice when the bar can reopen,
Thank you for a great night!
It was Valentine’s Day and my partner, daughter and I were there to have dinner. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. The ambiance was nice for the special occasion and we were seated quickly. Staff made sure we were social distancing, sanitized with temp checks. It made me feel quite comfortable being there during this pandemic.
The food was good. The service and ambiance were subpar.
Great food, great service great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and great service!
The Server and food were amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful. There was a table that had an obnoxious guest and everyone around us continued to glare at this guest. The accompanying guests at this table asked him to settle but he continued to make rude comments at the server. The server remained cool and continued to be kind and give the best service he could to us and the others under the conditions. Other than that, the sirloin was cooked to perfection as well as the Filet mignon. We will visit again.
Since this is a steak house I was surprised that there were only two steak choices. I ordered mine very rare and it came overdone, dry and flavorless. They took it back and brought another. This one was rarer but just as dry and flavorless. Also, by that time we had already finished our sides. I ate only half my steak all by itself. I was very disappointed by the whole meal. I have gone to many other steakhouses and this meal rates among the lowest.
Just went for Valentine’s Day . Had reservations for 4:30 but they welcomed us in early. Steak was decent but nothing like Bryant and cooper or porterhouse . The waiter needs to improve on hospitality. The check said his name was Sadik. Made the experience terrible. The restaurant was very cold . Asked to be moved twice mind you, I’m not bourgeois, but it was freezing . Upon our final seating Sadik was in a rush. He rushed bread and water. He came back and said “I need to take your order, people are waiting” when my wife didn’t decide right away what she wanted. I confronted him and reminded him that we made reservations and was being rude. His apology was subtle and almost non-existent. I considered asking for a manager. I will never come back. I recommend Porterhouse in Columbus circle over this place.
Excellent Steak House. The food, wine and service was top notch. The price was reasonable for our meal. Cant wait to go back.
Food and service was fantastic!! It was a little on the pricey side but the meal was well worth it. Very Covid carful!! Definitely a nice treat after not being able to dine inside for a couple of months!!
Great food as in my prior many visits, short staffed so service was slow, showing some wear and tear as you would expect with the pandemic ..still an oasis.
I’ve been coming to Sparks for the past two years and each time it’s been an amazing experience for birthdays, graduations, etc. This time it was for a first date and it couldn’t not have been a lore perfect experience. Iger was our server. He’s the best at what he does and cracks the best jokes. TIP YOUR SERVERS! Especially now! They’re working so hard to keep themselves open for business and if you’re already spending over $100 per person please consider that when you tip the waitstaff. They’re best over at Sparks!
great food, great place, service was terrific . glad they are open again.
I've been going for years unfortunately they are shutting down do to Covid again and will miss them again. The waiters are top notch
Have been trying to get there for a few years and it worked out this week...the filet mignon was very big and tender ...hash browns and creamed spinach went well with that delicious meal....service was impeccable and ambiance was spot on...
La comida esta vez no estaba a su nivel ,
Excellent overall. Safety protocols in place and were fine. Felt completely safe from COVID
We shared a salad, shared a 3-3.5 pound lobster, and raspberry romanoff. Coupled with a bottle of Sancerre.
Very highly recommended
Best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The waiters kept us waiting a couple of times, but that could be because they were short staffed due to Covid relation shenanigans. Overall amazing 10/10 would recommend
We love dining at this restaurant and were thrilled that it was open. The steamed lobster was absolutely heavenly and the steak wonderful as always. Understandably there was limited servers and no coat check. Cannot wait to go back again very soon.
Steak was good but was hoping for some additional cut options (bone in). Food and service were good.
The steak was not that impressive for the price.
We will go back, no question. The restaurant is one of our favorite places! We like the food, the ambient - and the people working there. Price wise, certainly on the high side, but overall acceptable for what you get.
The prosciutto melon appetizer was fresh. Our three entrees including the filet sliced steak and salmon were done to perfection with plenty of doggie bags for the next day. They recognized our special occasion!!
Fantastic!!! The food was so amazing !!! Thank you !
Poor food quality. Steaks not warm. Were kind of medium or weld one though we ordered medium rare.
It’s overpriced considering the meat quality. Ambience was good and service was normal. I recommend you choose other steakhouses.
Wonderful evening at Sparks! The staff welcomed us like we were family. We felt safe and well-cared for. The steaks were up to Spark-standard! Tasty side dishes were plentiful. Give these guys some NYC love!
Great staff fantastic steak I highly recommend
We had the whole restaurant to ourself and had 2 waiters chatting and helping us order (ones name was Jean, the other had been there for 25 years, so friendly). The food (if you’re not a steak person get the sea bass without butter - insane) and the basic Pinot Grigio wine was delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Also the HASHBROWNS AND MUSHROOM CAP SIDES!!! Best ever.
Food was absolutely terrible
customer service was outstanding
food was good
environment was great
would recommend to family and friends
I had an Amazing Server his name was Anas. My husband has been wanting to dine at Sparks for some time we finally went and was not let down. It was a great date night. I highly recommend.
Excellent food and service!! My favorite restaurant for steak.
The perfect place if you want the perfect steak - and also highly recommend the seafood starters!
The food was amazing! One of my favorite steakhouses in the city.
