The sliced steak had no real flavor. The creamed spinach was served at room temperature, like it was sitting out for awhile. The best part of the event was that the restaurant looked and felt like an old school steakhouse from the ‘50s., if you like the retro feel.

The steaks are huge and we were not warned and while were ordered medium rare, we had rare, medium rare and medium. Wine list is extensive while cocktails are very limited.

Always a fantastic experience at historic Sparks. Mushroom caps were under seasoned and sea bass was a touch over done but otherwise perfect. The veal chop is incredible!

Food was very good - had the prime sirloin steak and the creamed spinach. Service was almost too fast and too “gluey” creating awkward feeling. Space could do with an overall overhaul but the steak makes up for all

Sparks is one of my favorite restaurants however, the food was lack luster this time. Although we ordered seafood, a steak house is notorious for doing steak as well as the seafood. The appetizer of lump crab and scallops was underwhelming- the crab was good but the scallops were barely ok. Wasn’t sure if it was supposed to hot or cold- was in between. The fish was hot, I had sole and my fiancé had Salmen, which he enjoyed. All the food was under seasoned and again, just ok. I absolutely love Sparks, was there to celebrate my birthday but for what we paid, I was very disappointed.

Myself and my boyfriend dined in sparks steak house and were nothing but disgusted in the service. Our waiter showed little to no interest in us as from what we gather we aren’t regulars or he assumed us to be tourists. We sat and watched the tables around us get their water filled up their napkins and table cloths changed, asking was everything okay, while we received none of this treatment. We told him we did not want any dessert and while I still had a nearly full glass of wine in front of me he proceeded to drop the check without us actually asking for our check… his way of basically telling us to hurry up and leave. Absolutely disgraceful service and we were made feel very small and after spending nearly $200 on our bill to be treated in this manor we are completely disheartened.

Iconic New York dining favorite. Great menu and service and rarely, if ever, disappoints. With an extensive wine list (from the reasonably priced to the absurd) to the unique table cloth change after dinner, I highly recommend Sparks for a very satisfying dining experience.

Great historical place. Friendly people there. Service was great. Easily the best steakhouse I’ve been to. We travel a lot for business so we’ve seen a great sampling of steakhouses in various venues across the US.

I’ve been here before and 12 years later it’s still a crowd pleaser. It’s an old school steakhouse. The food is good and the service was fine. I would highly recommend going here.

A New York Institution and one that has held up well. We brought out of town guests to Sparks last night and they loved it - we loved it too. Our guests own their own restaurant in San Francisco and know food and wine. We had a lovely dinner - the old school ambiance was just right, the service was spectacular, the wine was divine and the food was delicious. Our restaurant owning friend said it was the best steak he ever had and my husband was swooning over his too. We had two seafood dishes that were also excellent and then we shared a nice slice of walnut pecan pie over espressos. We hadn't been to Sparks in a while, we won't wait so long next time. Bravo!
