First time dinning at Sparks Restaurant...
I can’t say enough how wonderful Our experience was
Sparks, has a good setup for a business meal with a good wine list. The steak menu is limited - to old line options like sirloin - no ribeyes etc. The sirloin was ordered medium and it was close to well done and for $57 that is unacceptable. I had a business meal and no time to hassle sending it back. $57 is way too high, and their appetizers were worse - $22 and mediocre. No French frys- should have real potato fries at their prices, not the home fries from the local breakfast diners. Clearly not a good value
The steaks and lamb chops are always cooked to perfection. Staff is very friendly and on spot. We make sure to eat here every trip to New York.
The restaurant was excellent. When we entered we were greeted by the host that sent us to the bar where we each had a excellent martini each. Then we were seated at our table and the food ambiance and waiter from Albania were all excellent.
Will definitely be back
The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our waiter Ante was the best !! He engaged us, made great recommendations and was most friendly!
Wow!! The steak, sides, and wine were just perfect. I had been to Sparks before but it was for a quick drink and app (But even that quick drink and app were amazing) but this time it was full on LUNCH! My steak was beautiful, perfectly seared, seasoned, and plated!
I want to go back again soon.
Nice restaurant, feels very "old school big boy's club" with the decor and wood paneling.
Excellent food very attentive the drinks..Trevor or Travis the bartender was great.
Old school Steakhouse with notable and reasonable wine list. Great service, excellent food.
Classic in NYC ...
La comida excelente pero el ambiente no muy bueno, es muy tranquilo. Sin música
great sirloin steak a little different from all the NY steakhouses with Porterhouse steak for two.
this is nice restaurant if you are prepared tonoay for it. it's overpriced and not worth spending 300 dollars on a meal.
Amazing. Just wonderful!
We came in from Philadelphia to try Sparks. Maybe the best steak we have ever had. Cooked to perfection. The filet and prime sirloin melted in your mouth , it was that tender. The hash browns were excellent . Service was outstanding very attentive and professional
Prices were reasonable for a top New York steakhouse
Great old school Italian. Loved the ambiance. Would recommend and have!
Food was excellent and so was the service, anyone who writes bad reviews on here are simply angry because the price of the food, go to outback if thats the case.
Incredible food, the steaks are the best, the mash simply amazing and the ice cream with port outstanding. Wonderful old fashioned style restaurant with great ambience, highly attentive waiters and good wine menu.
Overall, simply wasn’t impressed. Service was on point, but food left a lot to be desired. Both ordered medium filet and some sides to share. Filets we’re both medium rare (server agreed). Sent back to cook further, but still undercooked. I could’ve looked past that if the flavor had been there - it just wasn’t. With so many other steak houses in the city, I’d look elsewhere.
We had not eaten st Sparks in years. Our out of town friends suggested it and it was a great idea. Everything was wonderful and we’ll definitely go back sooner. The prices are comparable for a New York steakhouse.
Meal was fine. Waiter awful. Just ready to take his 20-25% automatic tip. Didn’t Evan ask us if we wanted coffee or desert. Place lives on reputation not real life action.
Very good venue, one of the better steak houses in Manhattan, but oddly no Ribeye cut--no self respecting steak joint is missing the ribeye!
great steak and food at sparks. Interior design is classic and a great match wit the food we ate. This is a place we will defintely come back.
Loved it. Great food and can’t beat the at atmosphere if you are looking for a traditional steak house experience
0ur 53rd anniversary celebration
They certainly have us a wonderful welcome
And s great dessert. Thanks. Will return when we are next in nyc
Very good fancy old school restaurant and bar. Friendly and professional staff. You feel welcome here.
They have a very special kind of meat. Super Premium.
Our server Miguel was fantastic and made it a fabulous experience! The food was delicious. We will definitely go back.
The moment we walked in we received a very friendly greeting and were immediately taken to our table. The place had a nice warm atmosphere and the wine list was amazing.....HUGE! My fiance and I each ordered a steak that were cooked to perfection and were also HUGE! Somehow we managed to finish our meal and also have just enough room to split a dessert, which the waiter took care of for us by splitting it and serving it to us on 2 plates. Normally I wouldn't mind sharing on a single plate, but in this instance, this actually worked out well.....thanks to the waiter for that! All in all a wonderful meal, comfortable friendly atmosphere, we weren't rushed at all, took our time and enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely go back again.
The filet mignon was well worth the price we paid. It was the largest cut of meat we had ever been served and it was the highest quality. We thoroughly enjoyed it and Sparks now sets the bar for steak houses. Just outstanding! GreAt service and a wonderful evening.
Ordered my steak medium I could barely cut it let alone chew it. Tough as nails and overcooked. Way overpriced and the Decour needs to be updated desperately
I've often had dinner here, but this is the first time I was disappointed in
the filet mignon. I ordered medium, and it came medium-rare. Also, the
meat was not tender, which I would expect filet mignon to be, especially
at that price.
Sounds funny but a steakhouse should be able to cook steak any way correctly. Sparks does that including Char rare also known as black and blue. They are consistently excellent in food and service
Good food, good service
Had a wonderful dinner. Excellent service and food. Woody Allan and his wife were at the next table! Pretty kool
Great food and service!
What more can I say, the menu is not complicated and everything was great; the meat is cooked just right, including the side dishes and with the wine on the side. My wife had lamb chops and I had the filet mignon. We both enjoyed it very much. Definitely worth going to a place that still makes things right.
This is my second time at Sparks and we were very disappointed. I had high expectations based on my first visit but this time the crab cocktail was mushy and the steaks were over cooked. At this price point, we expected better.
A friend suggested this place for dining while in NYC. By far, was one of the best steaks I’ve eaten. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was excellent. I highly recommend dining here, and will definitely do the same when I return to NYC
From the decor to the staffers and most importantly, The Food, Sparks steakhouse has never lost its spark. Dry-aged for 30 days, gave me and my date an evening of pleasure- her a filet, and myself a bigger steak, that was perfect. They were very respectful of my service dog, Srgt Bernstein, who also had no complaints. Sides of potatoes, and creamed spinach, along with good wine selection for her, and I a beyond refreshing ginger ale. Highly recommend!
