A delicious medley of clams, mussels, fish, shrimp, scallops and calamari sautéed in a rich tomato sauce
Entrées where great. Appetizers not so much had rhe ceviche it was fresh but bland had the Bacalao croquettes amd it was too salty. Sangria was amazingly overall I give this place an 8 out of 10
Excellent service, great food and location, and the live music was awesome!
This place is an absolute gem! Amazing food, wonderful service and the live music was incredible. I look forward to returning time and time again. A Tampa must!
We celebrated our 25th anniversary here. The food, ambiance and music was all superb. The food above all was wonderful. Would recommend to anyone to visit and enjoy.
Amazing restaurant. Authentic spanish food.
Food was flavorless
Always have a great time and delicious sangrias.
I enjoyed the tapas very much. The octopus was great. The scallops were excellent as well. Chorizo to me was somewhat oily. My date had arrow con pollo which was somehow lacking in spice.
Service was friendly. Corks he was only$15
20 minutes to get a hostess to acknowledge us. 20 minutes to get water. And not many more minutes to decide to leave with no service.
Excellent food and knowledgeable staff with helping select tapas!
We were there early, which helped the noise level; I don't know what it would be like if it was at full capacity. The food was delicious! The service was prompt, professional, and friendly.
It is just a wonderful place with wonderful food !
We enjoyed the food and the prices were reasonable.
Worst Tapa’s we have ever had
Food had terrible presentation and no flavor
Awesome Spanish tapas. Like being in Spain!
My Fiance has been wanting to try this restaurant since we walked by it a few months ago and stopped in for a drink. They had live music (guitar) and the ambiance as a whole was great. Our server Daniela was awesome and gave great recommendations. We had a great night! We plan to return for Flamenco show the next time we go
You should check out this little gem of a restaurant. Great food& entertainment. You may never notice it on block but very nice place. Good size portions. Wish they had more outdoor space otherwise great spot
If you want a little taste of Spain in Tampa Bay area. The Spain Restaurant & Toma Bar is the place to good. Service is great and live music is awesome.
Long interested menu with tiny type. Bring your glasses! I would go again.
The food is good. Nothing spectacular. Most of what we ordered did not come out hot, and probably would have been more enjoyable if it were hot when we got it.
All of the items were mostly flavorless, but the garlic aioli that was served with a couple of items was too overwhelming to use.
Maybe just an off-night, but not worth another visit for me and my guestsl.
Everything g was good however the tables were so small and so close together that the person next to us leaned back gabbing his hair and his hair was on top of our table therefore on top of our food. There’s no 6ft distance between tables because of covid, no social distancing at all.
Should have been a romantic and special evening and it turn-in to a unprofessional, rude and disappointing dinner. From plastic chairs to in untrained staff there was nothing special about that venue other than extremely expensive food.
Nice date atmosphere, service was great, and seafood dishes were amazing.
Excellent food with many choices. Beautiful Spanish guitar created a wonderful romantic dinner.
The atmosphere and staff were fine and Jorge was exceptional. But the food was not what we expected, maybe our standards are to high after living in San Sebastián Spain for 2 years but nothing was not prepared well at all. We started with pimentos del piqullio that was supposed to hot and it was cold and there was more croqueta (flour) and no seafood at all with no flavor. Our main dishes were just as bad my Mariscada was flavorless, and my wife’s Pescado al Limón was the same and it was stuffed with flour instead of seafood, I think she found a piece of shrimp mixed in with the flour. I guess if you never had authentic Spanish (European) food I guess this place would be ok.
Great food and friendly service
Food was terrible but live music was great
Very nice atmosphere super friendly staff
My wife and I went there for her Birthday and we could not stop talking about how great it all was. The Food was great, the service was great, and the drink were great! We will definitely be going back! Thank you to the chef for the perfect food, and thank you to madeline our server for the wonderful service!
Great atmosphere, live music, food was good, service was good.
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Live Spanish guitar plus delicious food. We had different tapas and learned it is best to order one or two dishes at a time. Otherwise, you end up taking a lot of food home. All of the dishes we had were superb and tasty. We also had one of the greatest desserts ever: a crepe filled with a vanilla cream apparently toasted in Grand Marnier. It was so good, we ordered a second. Definitely a restaurant to try.
The food was prepared fresh and timely. The Sangría is very good and the Garbanzo bean soup took me back to Spain. Oh, and the live guitarist on Saturdays puts this place above any other trendy place around! Truly spectacular!
We decided to have our 2nd annual Christmas dinner this year at Spain Restaurant and it was nothing short of spectacular! What seemed like endless delicious tapas, a few paellas and their signature wine and sangria satisfied our guests and then some! We're very happy with our experience! A special thank you to John and Freddy they treat their guests like family.
p.s. don't leave without trying their delicias del mar and their scallops!
Wonderful food and service. Live music on Friday nights.
A real treat for Tapas lovers! The selections are excellent and the food is superb. We not able to travel to Spain yet, but Spain Restaurant and Toma Bar let us feel like we're there. I enthusiastically recommend this Tampa gem.
This place never disappoints.
Flamenco show was excellent!!!!!!! Musicians and dancers are great! The restaurant is pretty, well located and the servers super nice!!!!! BUT drinks and food not good at all!!!!!! super disappointed when I got the garbanzos soup, I have never seen a soup that is clear, unless you open a can of garbanzos and add some chorizo and seasoning. Caipirinha, mojito , and white sangria didn’t work at all, so we decided to drink wine instead. Rest of the food was normal until we got our final disappointment “the churros with hot chocolate” bad color, bad taste, bad texture! It looks more like a café con leche than hot chocolate. Finally, if you want to enjoy a flamenco show that’s the place, just don’t expect good food.
Authentic cuisine and outstanding service.
Everyone was very nice.
Appetizers were very good.
Paella was not what I was expecting as I spend many years in Spain.
The decoration is too cold without any soul. I was expecting a lot of warmth with colors and patterns.
The food was not bad, but it was not to the level of a restaurant from Spain. We ask for Estrella de Galicia draft and they brought twice 1906 because they did not know the difference. The Spanish jam was too salted. Ask for jam croquetas and they brought the fish ones. Octopus was quite good.
