Spago - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
First of all we had a great server in Elana. She knew the menu, and accommodated our little changes to fit our diets. The food was great including the oysters and the white fish the name of which I have forgotten but I had never had it before. Highly recommended.
Handcrafted cosmo was average. New York was so full of gristle that I lost interest. And sauce was very rich. Potato side would have been a welcome respite, but they were so gooey that neither my husband nor I could stomach them. On a good note, the parsnip soup and the roasted carrots were delicious. Too bad that we had to stop off for a bite after dinner...
This is the third time we've dined at this Spago location in 10 years. The first time was for our wedding dinner, and it was marvelous. The second time was for an anniversary, and again, it was a wonderful experience. This time, we were very underwhelmed. Our waitress was not very personable at all. Our silverware was dirty (food and grease still present). The food was pretty good across the board, especially the salad course. The shrimp cocktail was just okay despite the price, and the steak I ordered was lacking flavor.
The table next to us had something in their food, and while I saw a server talking to a manager about it, the manager did not approach the table. Granted, that was someone else's experience, but it was hard not to notice when it was the table next to us.
Lastly, it was a little disappointing that they did not acknowledge our anniversary as they did the previous time, and on our wedding night, they brought us a special dish and desserts from the chef, which was a nice touch. Our anniversary was noted in the reservation, as I did with all reservations this trip, and Spago was the only restaurant NOT to acknowledge it it someway. Not a deal breaker by any means, but combined with our overall "meh" experience, it only added to our disappointment.
We likely will not dine here again. There are so many other excellent places to dine in Vegas, and Spago just did not rise to the occasion this time, unfortunately.
Made reservation on OpenTable several weeks ago and requested front / “outside” table but there was no table available for us. Disappointed. Food and Service were fine. Waiter was very nice. But nevertheless not the experience I wanted to return to after my visit this past August.
Our party of 8 celebrated a birthday with a Sunday 12:30 reservation. The "patio" seating is great for people watching as all traffic coming and going from the Forum Shops passes through the walkway in front of the restaurant. The food was delicious, service was very friendly but slow, and prices are what you would expect for a celebrity chef restaurant for the Strip.
There are select brunch items available on a separate menu on Sunday. The menu is one page with starters, salads, pastas, and entrees of California cuisine. Everyone enjoyed their food with the sea bass being the favorite. The desserts were all delicious and a definite positive. The souffle is a classic and was executed perfectly. They took care of the birthday boy with a special dessert.
Our server was quite nice and helpful, but had to cover too many tables and was spread too thin. Our two course meal took 2 hours and 15 minutes. Pricing was $30/person before tip. If you're a fan of Wolfgang Puck, this restaurant won't let down.
We had dinner here with my husband before seeing a show.
Our server greeted us right away. The Margherita pizza was amazing.
I ordered their house Pinot and was good for the price.
The service was pretty fast, we did not have to wait long.
Will definitely go back again.
I have dined at spago both here in Vegas and in LA and I have to say this Time was not a good one. The meal started with the server telling me and my group that we “couldn’t order off the menus we had bc they were dinner menus” mind you it’s 445 and Dinner starts at 5. The hostess made it a point to give us dinner menus.
After she was rude I said I have been here many times and I’m sure by the time you bring the wine and open it and we all talk it will be 5 and dinner will be fine. She then leaves and comes back with a different attitude but it doesn’t matter bc my whole group is talking about this the whole meal.
I will come back but I will want to speak to someone about what happened.
