I can’t say enough about this restaurant. The food is always delicious, it doesn’t matter what you order, you’ll love it. The staff is top notch, and go over and above to ensure your meal is perfect. The ambiance is great as well. I will continue to book just about every special occasion (and even the not so special ones) here. Well done!

The restaurant, post Covid, has little atmosphere now, save on the patio. Too sterile. Makes me miss the booths and non-clinical-white walls. Bar messed up drink orders. No sommelier visit. Decision to get rid of bread was a poor one. The bread was a big deal and now its $28. Waiter was lovely but stretched too thin compensating for bar errors. In brief, I think the place needs to tone down the white and warm up the place. Better art (for the space). Where's the love?

Expectations for a two Michelin star restaurant were high. We arrived on time for our reservation at 5pm sharp and was seated around 5:05. Someone came by a couple minutes after that to ask if we wanted water, to which we said yes. Bottled water came shortly thereafter - things are moving along. Then for the next 20 minutes, no one else came by to offer us the drink menu or take appetizer orders despite the fact that there were four or five other tables with customers (including ours). This couldn’t have been more than 10% capacity. It was 5:25 when I decided that I had enough and got up to flag down a wait staff to request that someone to come and serve our table. A couple minutes later, a female comes by - who looked slightly annoyed - to speak to the menu choices but she forgets to provide the drink menu before she leaves. We had to remind her again. Another waiter is reassigned to our table - young Caucasian male who was absolutely great and attentive to us for the rest of the night. (Please recognize him!) Plates start flying to our table and all is well until the main entrees come out - they made a mistake on my entree by bringing me the jidori chicken dish vs. the risotto. Apologies were profusely given, and I wait another ten minutes while everyone is enjoying their main courses. We try to make best of the situation by making me an a la carte plate comprised of portions of everyone’s dishes, but feels extremely awkward to be doing this at a Michelin restaurant let alone at any fine dining restaurant. The birthday song and the comped dessert were nice, thoughtful touches. In the end, we really missed the differentiated, elevated experience that this establishment is supposed to be known for, and wished that we could have experienced it for the special occasion we were celebrating.

Spago never disappoints and it was a packed evening. We sat in the main dining room and the ambience was lively and elegant. Wolfgang Puck made his rounds, per usual, and it was such a treat to shake his hand.

Front desk manager was super rude, unprofessional for such a nice establishment. I changed my reservation and had an email confirmation, but their system didn't show the change and she got upset and said too bad, and I have to wait for my original reservation. I go here frequently and have never been subjected to this type of treatment, even at Mac Donald's. Terrible. Find a new reservations manager!

The artichoke salad was not great as was one of the desserts. However, the veal cutlet (schnitzel) was one of the best. Potatoes and cucumber salad topped it off. We also enjoyed the smoked salmon pizza as an appetizer (outstanding). The chocolate souffle was a nice way to top off the meal. Service was exceptional as were the prices.....$460.00 for the four of us including tip. We only had two alcoholic beverages. Will return for special occasions.

Fabulous experience! We had a group of 8 for a business dinner while in town for a medical training event. We made reservations in advance and we’re seated promptly on the beautiful terrace patio. Beautiful ambiance with multiple fireplaces and fairy lights on the trees. We were completely shocked and in awe when Wolfgang himself greeted our table and shook everyone’s hand. What a legend! He gave recommendations on the menu and chatted for a few minutes. Our clients were blown away! Our server, Brian, was great. Fun, charismatic, prompt service, without ever being over bearing. Our group tried everything from the salmon pizza, tuna tar tar, to the chicken, veal and pasta dishes. Every single dish was fabulous and filled with flavor. I also have to mention that 2 in our group came right from the airport, got stuck in traffic and told the group not to wait for them - they finally arrived after we placed our dinner orders. Somehow the kitchen had it all figured out and dropped all the entrees at the same time, including the two that got put in after. So beautifully executed and such good service. Overall - Wonderful experience all around! 5-stars!!

The kitchen is very bad. They brought the pasta to cool down, a very small portion, the lobster was overdone, not brought to taste. The chef goes into the hall to communicate with visitors, but this does not save the situation. A lot of pathos, high prices. It is not clear why. Even a small portion did not want to eat up, terrible quality lobster. We have been here several times before and it was much tastier. The pasta was so terrible, I asked for parmesan to make things right. For the parmesan, they added an additional $3 to the bill, although in normal restaurants cheese comes free with pasta.

At Spago for our Anniversary dinner. Everything was perfect. They even provided complimentary champagne and dessert (even though we already ordered 2 desserts). Really treated us as special, even though the place was packed and busy. Fantastic experience.

After watching the Wolfgang Puck document on Disney +, our son expressed his desire to go to one of his restaurants. We made it a Christmas gift that he cashed in on his Spring Break. Once we told our server about his interest, the restaurant went above and beyond to help cultivate his experience. From a private tour of the kitchen to a special dessert, our son was over the moon taking in the whole night. The grand finale came at the end of dinner when the maître di came to our table to tell us Mr. Puck was in the restaurant that night and asked us to stop by his table. What an honor to get to meet him and my husband and I were so appreciative of his care to take in our son’s budding interest. We could have never planned for such a night, but this restaurant and all of it’s staff (including Wolfgang Puck) won over the heart of a 12 year old, leaving an impression for a lifetime. A huge thank you to all those involved. This restaurant is pure class.

We love Spago. We have come for 20 some years. Carlos and Angel are amazing. The food is always perfection. Incredible wine and liquor list (even with today’s challenges with shipping and availability). So nice to have everything inside again, feeling the beautiful vibe that is Spago. We visit every time we’re in LA.

Wow what a great dining experience from start to finish. The staff were very professional and extremely polite. The food was outstanding. They made my daughter who was celebrating her birthday, feel so special! Anyone looking for a perfect experience should definitely try Spago.
