Souvlaki GR - LES Ratings and Reviews
Delicious and authentic Greek food, everything was very fresh, attentive service with a great cocktail list! Happy to find an inexpensive Greek option that’s not meshed with middle eastern cuisine (which I also love) but sometimes plain Greek is all you need!
I have been many times to this place. The food is quite good, not expensive and it has areally good vibe however this Friday I was quite disappointed with the service.
1. It seems that they didn't have enough waiters, so it was really hard to order anything form them.
2. They run out of every possible dessert so we couldn't have desserts
3. I forgot my credit card in the restaurant and they didn't try to reach out to me to let me know that they had it (I found out ~20 hours after I was there when I had to pay in another restaurant); I have left my credit card in other restaurants in the past and for the most they try to reach out to you ASAP.
Looks and feels just like a tavern in the Greek Isles. Fun and lively place with great food and excellent service. Our server Lula made great recommendations and took excellent care of us. Loved it all. Best to make reservations. We saw numerous folks get turned away at the door. Opa!
The food was good. The service was slow. This place is tiny and it was packed, we were basically sitting on the laps of the people next to us. You had to move tables in order to get in and out of your seat. My food came before my glass of wine did, and I had to remind the server twice about my wine. I was halfway through eating by the time it arrived. The hostess was pleasant. It's a cute restaurant, but it was stuffed to the gills. I can't imagine how uncomfortable it would be for an average to large size person to eat there; my friend are I are both petite women. It's a cute place though, I'd definitely go back on a non-weekend night when it's hopefully more quiet and you can actually move without knocking someone else's meal over.
I LOVE going to Souvlaki Grill!! The food is delicious, especially the lamb. When I walk in I feel like I have been transported to Mykonos. I took a friend who had recently visited Greece, and she said that she felt as though she was back in Mykonos. It is a delightful oasis in the middle of East Village Manhattan. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Food was tasty but nothing special, and I love Greek food. Dishes were seriously overpriced to act as small plates (though they were small), and somewhat uninspired. Decor is cute but a bit kitsch, and the tables and chairs were cramped and unsteady. A bit disappointing.
I had requested a table for 11 and we were sat at a table that was more suitable for about 8 people. Given our proximity to the kitchen, it was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. I was a little embarrassed by how it all turned out because this was for a special occasion - my brother's 30th birthday.
I love this place! It's so cute - ambiance is great. Lighting, décor on the inside, people watching outsides...I wouldn't do anything differently! I'm a vegetarian and they had lots of great options. We did it tapas style - got almost all of the dips and then a few salads for the table. We all shared. Can't wait to come back again soon!
Was like being in Mykonos or Santorini. Loved the fare but they should add some favorites like Moussaka and and grilled fish! Some fried haloumi and grapes leaves!!! Should warn people about the size of the baklava! We ordered three for 5 people and still had to take one home! Will definitely go back. (They forgot my fries -- did me a favor).
If it is such a cute place!!! The scene/vibe was so fun!! The food was AMAZING. Started with the trio dip with pita, so phenomenal. The waitress was very nice and patient. I had so much fun there! It's good for date night or even just casually hanging with friends. Definitely recommend this and will be going there again! 🤗
This place really stands out on the street - it's almost like a tiny part of Greece in the middle of new york. I cannot rave enough about the decor - combined with a comfortable, cosy feeling. The staff is friendly and very patient despite being a busy place (caveat here, we went on a monday night). Now to the most impt part, the food - it was very good. My friend ordered the octopus which was a bit too overdone - but as soon as she told them, they immediately replaced it. I'm vegetarian and there were a few great options. The flavours were great - the pita was the only down-er, rather basic level. The dessert menu was rather limited, but after all the food we ate, we really didn't have space. All-in-all, a good evening out.
Ambiance is on point, such a cute spot, with bistro lights hung inside and a bar that legit looks like you're in Greece. The service was a little slow, and waiter wasn't helpful with the wine list at all. The food was pretty good (we tried about 5 smaller items) which were all good, but nothing totally noteworthy (even the Greek fries). Tho the meatballs were delish! The small outdoor space looks SUPER cute (once it's warm!) I'd probably go back and give it another shot but first time wasn't my fave.
ordered the assortment of the different meats. just placed the plate in front of us no explanation of the different meats. you could tell the chicken from the lamb chops but what were the others???? enjoyed the lamb chops very much. the chicken pieces were a bit cold not a fan of sending food back. the fries with the goat cheese and oregano were ok. Greek coffee was okay , advertise American coffee but did not have any was a bummer. dessert was ok had walnuts really chopped up and honey. staff not attentive did appointing. if I would go back not sure nothing pulling me back, its a neighbor place thought there would be more hope.chops I recommend.
