Food and service was great ! Came after leaving Statue of Liberty on our way to World Trade Center. Highly recommend the chips and salsa and the Tortilla soup
.. was amazing and the enchiladas were great !
Excellent all around. Will be back often!
Hadn't been in years but thought I'd try it for an end-of-year work lunch for my team. Our server was nice but not very attentive. This was a mystery as the restaurant was empty. The guac was bland - lacking salt, spice, or any seasoning for that matter. Bad guac is a cardinal sin for a Mexican restaurant in NYC (especially for one as expensive as SouthWest) so a very disappointing way to start off the meal. In hindsight, I should have asked for my money back on that dish.
Fortunately the entrees were better. I had the pulled chicken tacos which were really delicious. My colleague had a shrimp fajita which he said was terrific and my other colleague had a salad which looked basic.
Aside from the guac, the food was good but at $75, the overall meal was an awful value, especially for lunch where you expect to eat for $15 person. I wouldn't go back on my own dime.
The food was excellent, and served piping hot! The staff was very good, but did bring the sweet potato fries with the appetizer after explicitly asking when it should be brought and being told to bring with the entrée. An entrée listed as being accompanied by rice came instead with faro, which has gluten. Changes like that should be disclosed. However, the positives outweighed negatives...octopus appetizer was delicious.
Always delicious and fresh when dining here. Lunch Options are perfect portion.
Our server was so nice and took all our orders! I went with a party of 4 for a co-works lunch. The food came out quickly and it was super delicious!
After seeing the Statue of Liberty, we booked a restaurant that was within walking distance of Battery Park. We had a salmon ceasar salad and the Thanksgiving dinner. Both were good, not amazing. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Super noisy and food was mediocre at best. Looked like the bar was hopping and lots of large parties. If you don't care so much about food and you plan on being the noisiest people in the place -- this restaurant could be for you.
We went for brunch and found the menu much better than the standard brunch menu, although it included usual brunch options. Service was very attentive without being too much, the drinks were excellent and the food very tasty. Brunch for three, including alcohol, tax and tip was close to $100 so not a cheap meal but the food was well above the ordinary.
Nice drinks although it contained some undissolved suger. Extremely dry chicken served with Ceasar sallad. No dressing. Santa fee quesidillas rather tasteless.
Only one of our dishes was tasty: the octopus. The guacamole and chips were probably the most disappointing: the chips were horribly bland and stale, and the "guacamole" was like a big piece of avocado with no seasoning. The same for the quinoa salad.
Nice setting both inside and out in a beautiful neighborhood in Battery Park City with a friendly, attentive staff serving well prepared southwestern food at a reasonable price. I go there whenever I'm near that area.
We ran one hour late. I called and the hostess was very accommodating. Sat us right away. Servers were very good. Food was very good. Easy place to enjoy dinner with friends
Simply the best margaritas in BPC. The improvement of the food menu made the new dishes delectable as heaven.
