We are a great neighborhood secret on the south end of town. We offer a variety of fresh fun food from our open display kitchen. We have a hardwood oven for great appetizers and flatbreads. My husband and I celebrated Valentines' Day here. Because we waited so long to decide, the only reservation we could get was for 4:00 p.m. It actually was quite nice to go so early. The restaraunt was not crowded, it was quiet, and our waitperson was able to pay more attention to us.
The food was great, and the wine we chose was outstanding.
Definitely will be coming back soon!
This evening was our Anniversary and we had our wedding dinner there also 2 years ago. All of the staff there are very friendly and professional. The menu is always fresh with new items as well as the standard steaks and pasta. The wine list is one of the best in Anchorage. It is always a pleasure to experience a dinning event at the Southside Bistro!!
This restaurant is outstanding. I always have terrific service and food. The only negative point is charging a fee for substituting more vegetables rather than rice. I felt a little put out with this extra charge when we ordered wine, salads, entrees and desserts.
The restaurant is great but Open Table website “sucks”. It isn’t intuitive and lacks information that helps the individual to make a simple reservation.
I recommend that you call the restaurant directly. It’s much more simple and very easy.
I recommended that Open Table procure a NEW website manager over a year ago but it’s obvious they’ve ignored my constructive criticism. That has landed on deaf ears at Open Table management.
