By and large the food here is good however it is more than a little bit overpriced. The scallops were cooked to the perfect texture but managed to have an odd bitterness to them. The fixed price menu was OK.

You also have to like to dine in a restaurant that’s about 85° where dinner service will take you add a minimum of two hours. At a location that is next to a major venue it makes it a little bit tricky to get to the show on time when you’re waiting 20 minutes between courses. And if they have any groups or large reservations you as a smaller table will definitely take a backseat in service.

Very fresh seafood. As someone from New England the shellfish and fish here were excellent. If you are reading this review and are thinking about going - do it! And get the oysters.

The seafood was very fresh and tastey and the service was okay. However the table for two was very small. There was too much sweet sauce under the grilled scallops. The roasted brusselsprouts were good but they had a peanut garnish which didn't seem to go to well with the dish. The lemon cheese cake was good but the blueberry sorbet served with it was very sweet.

Our food choices were shared starters: Manila clams in a delicious yellow qsauce, which the fresh bread slices soaked up quite nicely, then a wonderful beet salad, with my friend having a giant delicious crab salad while I had the Alaskan halibut which was super. Already looking ahead to our next visit!

Best clam chowder ever. Oysters were good but small. Crab salad was from a can. Service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. Hostess was a bit over-officious -- we called to maybe reschedule from 6:45 pm to 6:15 pm (on a Tuesday night) and were told that was not possible, but we were welcome to come in early (and drink, I guess). In reality, when we arrived (at 6:45) the restaurant was not particularly crowded. We were seated at a small two-top (good thing the oyster plate was small...). We requested another table but were told, again, that was not possible. Nonetheless, within five minutes, three prime window booths opened up -- which sat empty until we finished our meal.

So i picked this place because I figured they would have a lot of local seafood. But it's all from Vancouver, Seattle or California...the vegetables are locally grown though and the wine was too. We got the seafood tower, which was pretty good. Definitely recommend the halibut ceviche and the oysters. The clam chowder was delicious too.

The food was ok at best. Very limited selection and the prices we way too high for the quality of food. The oysters were a little over $4.50 each. Our drinks were empty half the time, our check was incorrect after pointing it out, it was changed and was still incorrect. On the 3rd try it was made right.

I could have easily prepared better dishes with higher quality products. There was alot of staff working, but have no idea what they were doing.

I was very impressed with both the food and our wait person! Excellent service, she gave helpful information, was interested and nonintrusive but present. My halibut and lentil dish was outstanding as was the beet salad. Loved being there with my husband and two friends after a concert at the Schnitzer. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family members,

My favorite menu item is the brussel sprouts. They are fabulous. 3/4 of us ordered the crab salad. It was good, but there was too much lettuce. The amount of crab, avocado and citrus served on the plate could have been greater. The 4th person had halibut from a fixed price menu. The serving size was quite small, but good. 2 ordered a rhubarb 'cake' served with ice cream. It was good, but you couldn't taste any rhubarb flavor. Prices are a bit high.

This was by far the best meal we had while in Portland. The squid ink fettuccine was amazing! I had dreams about it that night. The black cod small plate was so refined and delicate. I want more right now! And don't get me started on the lemon cheesecake! Scrumptious! I also had the most amazing old fashioned with local rye so the night was just perfect! I might make a trip out to Portland again just so I can go back to this restaurant.

We showed up for Happy Hour at 3 pm. Not many people there yet. Our server (Stephen D) was amazing....seeming to anticipate our every wish (e.g. bringing extra “share plates,” bread, crackers, etc.). The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Servings were large for a Happy Hour and we left very satisfied and happy. Ambience was delightful with a good mix of low-key but quality tunes. This was my second time to this venue and I have been very satisfied both times.

Went for the seafood, and tho that specifiically was cooked great - was underwhelmed by rest of the meal. Service and staff were very attentive but not hovering. Both wife & I were surprised by the very basic flavoring of the side dishes and even main sauce, but the fish & scallops were cooked just right. Given the price expected more flavor

Loved our evening at SouthPark. The Seafood Tower was enjoyable: the salmon tartar, mouthwateringly good; the smoked scallops, exceptional; the boiled shrimp, average. Our salads (Caesar and Beet) were both excellent. And our chocolate petit fours and salted caramel gelato were a fine ending. Also really enjoyed the Portuguese red table wine (Bons Ventos) very much. Our table for two in front of the window was lovely, private, quiet. Only one sour note: the crab legs were tasteless —we stopped working for the payoff after two. Definitely going back. We love SouthPark Seafood.
