So disappointed. We have loved coming here for years but Saturday it was likely our last time for a while. We were greeted by a young man as our host who couldn’t have look more disinterested and bored. When he showed us (and others) to our table, I explained I had specified a booth in the reservation made weeks ago. He simply said “I know. This is all that’s left”. There was zero care or apology or offer to wait, nada. The music was playing over head ridiculously loud and the ambiance was busy and chaotic. The menu has been parsed down so much and there was no special. Of course the food tasted good but the entire experience was very disappointing from the upscale experiences we’ve had in all the years past. The service felt unrefined and has lost much of its special portland flair.

Oysters were very good but tomato base sauce wimpy, would prefer Tabasco - liked horseradish and lemon. The calamari and octopus salad - good but too much oil! Would be better on a bed of shredded lettuce. Wine very acceptable. Regina, our waitress, outstanding as she was on my previous visit.

Not worth the money, slow service, average food, they charge a 3% credit card processing fee and automatic 20% tip on the entire bill. I will not be back

The surcharge we have implemented for card processing is being used to offset increased hourly wages for our entire team (there is no surcharge for paying cash) and our 20% gratuity is a way for us to pool tips with our no-sales hourly staff (but will never be an excuse for poor service). Food good. Service good. Prices high. Forced 20% tip. Plus added 3% “Credit Card” fee. Even asked for more tip. As if they’re so good it’s a favor they doing taking your card. Everyone else blends that into overhead. At their prices it seemed it was in there already. I’ll find somewhere as good with out the attitude of “you owe the tip and should pay to use your card. Bad owners of a good place.

The excellent food was overshadowed by a bad server experience. We arrived on time and were shown our table. we had brought our own wine and the server said he would be back to open. Thirty minutes later wine unopened, no appearance by server. When he did show up instead of saying "so sorry, I was slammed"or something slightly apologetic, he was defensive with me and unpleasant. Rather than continue with this unpleasantness i said nothing and he felt the need to make a few more remarks. Bad start. And the fact that you must automatically tip20% rewarded him for bad behavior.

The cuisine was excellent, as usual. We frequent South Park often and for special occasions. Ross provided us with outstanding service throughout the evening. So expensive with the 23% gratuities! $235 for 4 ppl. And..: yes, It was delicious and fast and frankly our our service was wonderful… but damn. 3 manhattans, 4 glasses of “house wine” was $100… We didn’t have any entrees either- cesear salad with prawns, cup of soup, grits with shrimp, and beet salad with 2oz of steak, Brussels… I still can’t figure out how that’s $130 bucks? Honestly though, I would return and not drink. And if you do go, be sure to sit in the bar… warm lighting, easier to chat with your table, nicer servers.

We were outside so noise wasn’t an issue. The server was amazingly accommodating and friendly, accurate and just nice. There were seven of us before an event and the timing was perfect without feeling rushed. I’ve been there many times before but this was impressive. Everyone in our group agreed. Thanks!

The restaurant is excellent. The staff are professional and friendly. The food is superb and the wine is delicious. I want to praise our server, Molly. She was wonderful. She knew the menu and wine selections in detail. Molly was warm and kind. Making the dining experience a very nice little celebration.

Our third time there when visiting Portland and we will be back!! Excellent clam chowder with clams in shell and the Paella was beautiful in presentation and well seasoned and cooked. Also loved the upside down peach dessert!

Conveniently located near the Schnitzer theatre. Immediately offputting was the notification on the menu that they’re charging you 20% automatically for gratuity and another 3% if you use your credit card. Expensive, a couple of affordable wines, however, that were great. Beet salad had a dressing that had a primary taste of oil and 3 quarter sized pieces of shaved raw beet. Fish and chips, unfortunately, were cooked in grease that must have been at the wrong temp, as it impregnated the fries and the breading too much. After peeling off breading quality of the fish excellent. Curried shrimp and grits very good

My favorite neighborhood restaurant for many reasons. Only a few blocks from the more famous Higgins, Southpark Seafood is quiet enough to hear my companions as we speak while we eat. And the food--the food is a marvel. My favorite has always been the halibut, whatever they do with it. This week it was better than ever.

The clam chowder was tasty, but otherwise the food was really bland. We got the seafood platter and the crab tasted completely flavorless, and poke was very under seasoned. Wish we’d gone to the Heathman instead.

Dungeness crab is a quite mild meat and we don't like to over season our poke as we believe the flavors of the fresh fish needs to come through. Service was excellent. The oysters are outstanding, the most scrumptious I have eaten. Lox also good. The caesar salad however needs some improvement, it is not authentic - I realize many restaurants cater to a public that might not care for the taste of actual anchovies but at least use the dark outer leaves of the Romaine and some shavings of parmesan rather than shreds of the cheese. And, I appreciated substituting the house white wine for the bubbly with the oysters. Thank You,

The clam chowder was OUTSTANDING! We’ve never had gnocchi in anything but a pasta sauce. It was delicious in the clam chowder. Having fresh clams was another hit. Next time, I’ll get a bowl rather than a cup.

The food was delightful and super fresh! It was my Birthday and my boss took me and our team to lunch. I had never been here before neither had the other people with us and they really liked the menu and of course the food it was quite amazing! Then we saw three (3) other employees from work there having lunch too! It's quite popular we thought. The service was excellent very prompt and polite and knew the menu fully and explained all the details and specials since we had never been there before. We'll definitely be coming back soon. Everything from the food and cocktails to the service and atmosphere was outstanding. Our server, Giovanni M, was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the dishes on the menu and was attentive without being overbearing. His recommendations were fantastic and made for an incredible evening. The Bloody Mary oyster shooter and half dozen oysters were excellent and a great start to the night. If you haven’t tried it before, I highly recommend the geoduck crudo; it was perfectly prepared with a hint of spice. The crab roll was amazing and the king salmon main was a wonderful suggestion from Giovanni. “The Smoke on the Water” cocktail was a beautiful combination of fresh pineapple and smoky mezcal that was refreshing and easy to drink. “The Detour” was mint forward and very delicious as a good end to the meal. Southpark Seafood as whole is a lovely restaurant and both my partner and I had good discussions about the art and design of the place. Overall, I would highly recommend Southpark and look forward to returning!

We sat at the bar for snacks and drinks. Their custom cocktails are so delicious (I had SPF 98) and I always love their house wines. I had the crab roll and we shared some other plates. It was amazing. Great service from bar and wait staff. Food came out quickly and was delicious.
