Exceptional, as always!!
Singer was awesome but too load for us. We would request to sit downstairs next time.
Grilled cheeses would have better if there was more cheese. Appreciate all the brisket, but it was too much.
Cheese steak rolls were incredible. Coffee was just warm but waitress was incredible about bringing us replacement cups. Staff was very friendly!
Nice place to visit for some interesting takes on soul food.
First time at this restaurant. Food has a "southern theme" with some cajun elements.
Shrimp Gumbo was very spicy but delicious.
Very attentive and accommodating. Dinner was good. I would definitely return
Delicious food prompt service
I like the ambiance but food and service seems to be declining. Server kept bringing the wrong drinks or forgetting them. Ordered a fried green tomato BLT. It was good once I got rid of the top bread and half the bacon so that I could taste the tiny piece of tomato. Friend got the chicken pot pie and there was only 3 tiny pieces of chicken. I have had better for the price.
The food was okay. The bartender upstairs was fabulous. Overall it was a pretty good experience.
Quaint environment, Grant was an excellent server and the food was very good. Portions were generous. Overall an unexpected surprise and look forward to going back!
We enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch. Food was amazing. Definitely will be back!!
Everything was exceptional l. I can’t wait to go back!
Food was great but service was not. Took almost 80 minutes to get our entrees after we had to ask what was taking so long. Waitress never came to tell us why we were waiting which is why the rating for service is so low. We should have been told why there was a delay in getting our food, especially after a table that was seated after us received their appetizers and meal at once! Food was actually really good, maybe it was an off day, but the service was just meh…
Expected so much more, had reservations and still had a thirty minute wait for our table. Once seated, the wait for each course was long, as well. Entree portion was very small. On a positive the Apple spring roll with ice cream was yummy!
The service, food and ambience were great. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcc
We were a party of 6. We enjoyed sitting on the upstairs deck, it was quiet and very relaxing. We were there for restaurant week. Our food was ok, our service was excellent!
We had a great time…good was great….service was great…..will definitely be back!!!
Had the chicken and waffles and fried pickles and they were both so good . Will be back to try more items
The only negative is that it took a long time to get our food. But the food was delicious and the ambiance was great. We sat in the outside covered deck.
The server was friendly and attentive, food was excellent. The tables for 2 are very small and next to a table for 8 which was very loud. Made it hard to have a conversation, but overall it was very good.
Unfortunately, the buttermilk biscuits (one of the things that attracted me to this restaurant) are served semi warm instead of hot. When I asked if I could have some that are hot, they put them in a microwave and served them warmer but hard and rubbery, which indicates to me the must be premaid. Extremely disappointing.
The food is also inconsistent. This was our second time here. Same issues with the biscuits, however, the blueberry pancakes were very good the first time. I ordered the same thing the second time and instead of being close to the size of the plate they were the size of a saucer. I asked if I received the correct item. The waitress also thought it was strange as she had waited on us a few weeks before. When she checked she said she was told it was because it was a different chef. That should not change your expectation of the consistency of the food you are returning for.
The food was excellent especially the roasted brussels sprouts. The live music was awesome a little loud but very entertaining. Great atmosphere and would definitely go again.
Every staff member was so welcoming. The food was amazing, no complaints. They had a good variety of draft craft IPAs! Overall we had a really good dinner and will be dining again.
Wait staff was the best! The food and cocktails were very good. Will return.
Loved the food, the drinks, the service. I just loved it all. Already planning my next visit
The only complaint is the biscuits were cold. We were looking forward to the biscuits and disappointed that they weren’t served hot.
The pancakes and the service was great.
Excellent craft cocktails. We had the "award" winning chicken sandwiches
Our service wasn’t great he checked on us once! Our food wasn’t great at least to our taste.
Afternoon brunch date with family, I left out of there barely able to walk! The food was so good, very cute atmosphere, friendly staff, hardworking waiters. 10/10 definitely coming back soon!
This was a first-time dinner date at SCK and boy were we in for a treat. From start to finish, we were treated like VIPs. We absolutely loved the customer service. The facility was clean, the waitresses truly love what they do and it shows. Each drink, appetizer and meal was AMAZING! I let them know I'm from the ATL and I went in skeptical, but came out a changed woman. Will definitely recommend and can't wait to return. That Brunch Menu looks amazing as well!
Great service and even better food
I love the food ! Everything was so nice
This was my first visit to Southern Cross Kitchen, but it will not be my last.
we did Sunday brunch. The beignets were delicious and the bourbon pecan banana French toast was divine! I tasted my partner steak and it was cooked perfectly.
The steak and eggs was a bit pricey, but is was so tasty! This may very well be my new favorite brunch spot!
Always a great experience when I go to Southern Cross. And I was finally able to bring my husband. ❤️
Every item we ordered from the shrimp tacos to the jambalaya was amazing.
My family ate here and dam near ordered the entire menu, everything was perfect!
We will be frequent flyers here.
Great environment, band was great, and the food was very filling!
Best brunch I have ever had! Everything I tried was delicious but the beignets might have been better than NOLA, waitstaff was super attentive...we will be back!
It was horrible. Food and salad out at
Same time. Sent drunk back— cosmo tasted bad.
Inexperience staff Popeyes fried chicken is better
We were very excited to return back to southern cross after our first experience for brunch there. We haven’t been back for about two months but finally got a chance. It was not busy like it was the first time. With that being said, we didn’t think into how the service would be. We sat down and our server was nice. But overall she was not really present or attentive with us. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our drinks. And remember it was not busy at all from what my friends and I were seeing. Then when our server took our order - she repeated back to us our order but was off by an item or two. So making us a little hesitant if she got it all. The food came - it was not as good as the first time. We were very disappointed. Also it took forever for my friends corn bread to come out. It came out after all of us finished our meals. The cornbread ended up being dry and just tasteless. Finishing with our server taking 15 minutes to give us our check. It was just not the best experience. I worked in the restaurant industry and this was just not a good experience that we were looking forward to. It was also my birthday and was disappointed by it.
Great service and the food was amazing!!! We will be sure to return.
As always a great experience. The staff is excellent, friendly and genuine. They go the extra mile to make sure everything is great.
