Seafood was great. The place was really crowded on for Saturday lunch time. While the server was friendly, he was inattentive (too busy attending to others). I’d still highly recommend San Antonio visitors to check out this restaurant.

Awesome, Derek was a pleasure. It’s was very windy and an umbrella flew up and almost hit my wife. Management was right there to make sure we were okay. I was impressed with how caring they all were. Love this place

Great lunch place! Enjoyed the raw oysters. Unfortunately they were out of 3 items on menu . I will have to return to try them. Service was excellent.

The food was great. I'd eaten mole once before and was convinced I didn't like it until I tried it again last night. And, the beer with the cocoa nibs? Um, super delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Worst waiter ever. The main course was good but dessert was a fail. We ordered the carrot cake which was ok...but the yellow cake with chocolate cake was inedible. Waiter was friendly but was not good to ck if we needed anything...like to place a food order....

Love dining at the Southerleigh. Always friendly service but our waiter and the manager were particularly great this time. We had our kids and the staff was really accommodating. They make it a family friendly place.

If you go here for lunch or for dinner, ask for the server Keith Jackson. He is phenomenal!!! The food never disappoints. One of my favorite spots for lunch or dinner.

I specifically went there to try the Snapper Throats. Our server told us they were out if them. About a half hour into dinner I watched an adjacent table get served the throats. The food we had was amazing. Super juicy flavorful fried chicken. Delicious cracker crusted Redfish. We were comped 13 oysters due to the delay in serving them. We will definitely be back again.

Outstanding ambiance is what strikes you first because of the unique decor. Very welcoming with a menu to match. Must order the Red Snapper throats to start. Fried chicken , spiced green beans , and delicious cornbread. Sounds good ? It is . Don't forget , it's a brewery as well .

Table was ready when we walked in. Unusual smell, micro brewery they said, it was different than many other micro brew restaurants I’ve been too. Lunchtime so it took a little time to get waitress. Waitress was very good. They were out of the snapper throats. Pretzel and deviled eggs were good. Pricey for a pretzel. I ordered the fish sandwich & side of grits were all very good. The Lager was also tasty. Average $25 a person with tip for a business lunch.

We had a great meal and met some friends who raved about the food. At the end of the meal we were enjoying coffee and talking with friends but our waiter asked us quickly if we wanted the check, if there was anything else he could do, hurried us to take our plates. It just seemed odd given that there was not a line and there were plenty of tables available. We got out of there sooner than we wanted but it was good food overall.

My waiter was terrific. I can't remember his name but he was a handsome African American man who was wearing opaque grey glasses. He was great with the menu, charming and funny, and attentive at a reasonable level. Really did a great job and made my experience really great.

Great food, but smaller portions than expected. The menu was not the same as what was online and there was not enough meat on the menu.

It's an experience. The food is not that great. Jalapeno grits were warm at best and had no jalapeno flavor. Fried chicken was good but seasoning wasn't mixed very well. There were a lot of salt in certain spots.

Loved the location, service and ambiance were excellent but the actual food experience was just average. My wife and I started with deviled eggs and a pretzel which were very tasty, however the mains of Shrimp Boil and Redfish were not that great! Appearance of each dish was amazing but flavor of each was lacking, however our side of grits were the bomb! Overall for the price the food was mediocre at best, but because of area and variety log we were back in the San Antonio area we would give it another chance!
