Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery
Been here several times and food is always good. Beet too!
Awesome food, service, ambiance ... And beer! Loved it. If we lived in San Antonio we'd be there often. Great spot to break bread with friends and family. Love the use of historic Pearl Brewery building.
Celebrated a work anniversary with boss, co-workers, and spouse. Drinks, appetizers, main courses, and desert were all outstanding as was the service
We have been there before and the food and serve are normally amazing. This time the food was not as good. My food came out after everyone else ate and was not cooked completely (short ribs were tough) but the staff took care of us.
Our experience was perfect as always. Good service and hot food! Mangers stopped by the table to make sure everything was A-okay and it was. Eggs, and throats were delish. Pretzel hot & crisp on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside. Goes so well with their pickles and beer cheese! I tried their new Duck Confit and boy was it a treat, confit then flash fried makes for the perfect taste and texture! Beer yummy per usual! And service was prompt. I’m counting the days till I get to go back! My birthday is August 31st. Guess where I’ve spent may past 4 birthday lunches! Southerleigh has seen me turn 26-29 and now 30! T-minus 17 days 🤗
Absolutely enjoy Southerleighs. However, I am not a fan of the payment at the table technology/experience. It seems to downgrade the dining experience.
Food and service was great!! The building is really cool!
Very good food. Beer was tasty and good variety. Service was excellent. We were well cared for and will definitely go again.
Fantastic service! Food was outstanding! Will definitely be back
A little on the expensive side for the amount of food, more for location. But great food and nice staff. Cool rustic env.
We used to dine at Southerleighs more often. The menu was changed often reflecting what was fresh and in season.
I was very disappointed in this experience! The menu hasn't changed since we last dined hear over a year ago. My redfish was okay, but for the price, it wasnt worth it. The southern fried chicken was greasy. My wife said her meal was okay but not memorable.
The beer was pretty much the same lineup. I do like Southerleighs beers, but would like to taste some other beers.
I do want to try the new location at Brooks City Base.
Had a great time!
Wonderful dining experience from the delicious food, attentive service (thanks, Reina) and unique ambiance. I had the Red Snapper. It was moist, flavorful and the crab topping was a perfect addition. My husband's fried chicken was crisp and tender. Delicious! My son had the Ribeye steak. It was perfectly cooked. The macaroni and cheese was the best Ive ever tasted. Soooo great! Just a great dining experience! Will return again soon!
Shrimp boil was amazing, same with crab mac n cheese... deviled eggs would’ve been great if the film (between egg white and shell had been fully removed) pimento cheese was so-so but the accompanying pickled veggies were so good!
Philippe is awesome. A very good friend of ours. The food is always amazing. Our go to place for sure.
Southerleigh just does not disappoint! From the staff to the food it is absolutely amazing!
Great food (lots of seafood option), service and ambience. The price matches the quality! You can share plates and side. Did not try the beer but I take it would be great as well! It’s good for any occasion really, and great location right by live music!
Great food in a casual atmosphere and the service was excellent.
Our waiter Austin was very helpful and attentive. The pretzel is where it’s at, don’t start a meal without one.
Always a pleasure eating here.
Great experience! Attentive service (mostly), awesome oysters, fresh salad, amazing jalapeño cheese grits! Snapper “throats” were everything advertised - tender, non-oily, delicious, but just
not My cup of tea - though admittedly that was true in large part due to the need for some dissection to get at the good stuff.
All in all, another awesome meal at Southerleigh’s!
Awesome is all we can say
Obviously great location. Really good food and exceptional service. The only thing I REALLY take exception with is that they highlight snapper throats on the menu but didn't have them. Slightly more disappointing is that no one at the restaurant could say when they would ever have snapper throats in the future.
It was really great. Our server Ryan (from MD) was a rock star!!!
Fantastic service and delicious food!
Fried chicken was very dry and so was the yellow cake. The menu looked promising but fell flat. Service was great and it’s a super cute place but food was just mediocre.
The service was incredibly quick and our waitress was very kind! A little pricy for the food, but i overall it was good!
What a fun time! Top notch food, great service by a very knowledgeable server, and fun atmosphere, even for a later reservation. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
The quail and snapper were amazing
Our server was wonderful, even brought us two complimentary carrot cakes because two people from our party had birthdays. Service was fast. The food was yummy. Great place both for brunch and dinner. Thank you!
Fabulous location, attached to the Hotel Emma at the Pearl Brewery. Because of the location, I expected something more impressive food wise. I think my expectations were just too high and was disappointed that the food wasn't over the top. The service was excellent tho and it was a fun experience.
Awesome w kids
Awesome as always and the service was really great!
I have been to this restaurant many times for brunch, usually with good results. Today, for the first time in my life I WALKED OUT. We showed up early for our reservation, were seated immediately and then summarily ignored for 20 minutes. I watched 6 or 7 servers walk past our table, look at us and completely ignore us. Even after getting up to complain, and a server came right away to say she would help us in a minute, she never came back. Then, another server came to the table, started taking drink orders, and in mid-sentence said "never mind, I'm not going to be serving you after all" and walked off. My jaw dropped. I grabbed my hungry 4 yr old, my husband and stormed out. But, not before giving the manager Scott a very. very. frustrated piece of my mind. Must have been a bad day because he admitted we were the 2nd table to do so that morning. To his credit, he did everything he could to express his apologies, try to reseat us elsewhere, and then offered to send a dining credit after we left (which he did). There are WAY too many food options at the Pearl, so if you have a restaurant there - you better get it right.
I visited the Southerleigh Brewery or dinner to meet up with another couple for dinner dates. We enjoyed the food. Our server was great and attentive. They are a brewery and don’t have a bar option so those of us who didn’t want beer with our dishes were a little disappointed, but the food made up for that.
it was not very busy and our food took a while; the assistant manager came out to apologize; however offering a free dessert would have been nice.
What a great meal. Fabulous food and craft beer. Wonderful service.
We are from San Antonio but have not lived here since 1990. This place had a great atmosphere, food, and their own brews. I recommend this place.
Wine/Beer only, no spirits/cocktails. Food was ok. Lots of flies.
