The food and overall service was fantastic. We made the reservation with open table and all but one of our party was there but it still took some time for them to get us seated. I do believe the table was ready, they may have forgotten our table. The service after that was incredibly and our waitress was very funny and nice. The food was delicious.

Our server was excellent. Made great recommendations for beers to try. The redfish preparation was excellent. One of the best meals we’ve had in Texas.

The experience at Southerleigh was a ton of fun. Our server Jessica was fabulous- very personable, related well to our 7 and 10 year old kids (which I especially appreciated since many servers tend to ignore kids), and she knew the menu well and offered great suggestions. We especially loved tasting all the delicious beers and the kids loved creating their own pretzel which then gets baked for dessert. We didn’t eat off the dinner menu but instead enjoyed oysters and shrimp which were fresh and excellent. We will definitely be going back!

Soup was excellent, vegetables were perfect. Snapper throats are a must, fried and very tasty. We loved the atmosphere, part of Emma Hotel.

The restaurant is cool and the service is good. The beer was OK. We did not enjoy one menu item that we sampled. The shrimp boil, redfish, kids steak and fried oysters were all incredibly salty! The kids grilled cheese was too charred for a child. I would never go back, it was all just way too salty.

This was the third time I've been to this place. The first two times, the food was delicious and everything else was great (service, timeliness, etc). This most recent time, it took about 45 minutes to get our food after ordering. My order was incorrect, but this was due to a misunderstanding between myself and our server, so I'm not blaming him. Food was not the best- the first two times at least one person in our party ordered the fried chicken which was arguably the best I've ever had period. This time it was a bit on the soggy side. My brother's redfish (again first time I tried this it was absolutely delicious) had some very "fishy" bites to it, as he states it.
I would still recommend as the first two times were really good, perhaps this was just an "off" night.

Felt like the wait staff was rushing us through our meal. Not a relaxing setting on a Wednesday evening. We asked our server about individual dishes and his only response was “it’s pretty good” or “it’s okay”. Specials were not described and entres came out 5 minutes into the salad course. We felt like they couldn’t get us out fast enough. Probably won’t be back

Our waitstaff was amazing. He overheard us talking about my daughter's birthday and brought us a wonderful cake with a candle and didn't charge us for the dessert. He went above and beyond the call of duty and made our night.

Mediocre Service.

I've been to Southerleigh's before and it was amazing. This time I went for my birthday along with the owners of the company I work for, first we had a glass of ice spilled onto the table and in our laps, than 1 of us didn't receive her side order, and service was mediocre. The atmosphere was great. I would recommend but not the waitress we had.

Decided to spend time with my father, and this seemed to be the one place we agreed on for beer and I’m so glad we did!

Ordered Mac and cheese (vegetarian) and the pretzel to go with a beer flight and it was perfect. Highly recommend the Gold Lager, that is probably not the name ...

Much better than Supper two nights before.

Service excellent. My two guests professionals in the high value restaurant business. They were very pleased.

Beer was excellent, but I don't like I get a beer that I like it's no longer available the next time I visit.

I was the only one who had a problem with the food. I had the flounder, the skinniest flounder ever caught, not much meat to it.

Overall a very fine experience.

Managed to eat here twice in one week - once for dinner and once for brunch - both times the seafood was the star of the show. The king crab legs are so good I dream about them and while some things are odd (pickles in a caesar salad?), I always go back to the seafood. I also really enjoyed the mac and cheese and though I wasn't able to eat it, my friends raved about the antelope tartare with chicken skin grinds. My husband really enjoyed the beer and they have a solid wine list. The Pearl District is one of my favorite parts of San Antonio - will definitely be back to Southerleigh the next time I'm in town.

Southerleigh was a memorable dining experience. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was amazing. Set in an old brewery they maintained the look and feel of the architecture yet created an upscale experience. They have a great beer selection...something for everyone. The chef has put together a wonderful menu...everything was delicious. I highly recommend the jalapeño cheese grits. Very well done!
