   Food has very little flavoring....poor choice I made for Mother's Day Dinner. I expected a "southern" restaurant to have some taste to it. My Aunt and Mom were so disappointed. The server was attentive and polite. The atmosphere was fine-

   Service was very slow and the waitress kept forgetting things we asked for. Food was nowhere near as good as it used to be. This used to be our favorite restaurant but it is no longer consistent in quality or service. Very disappointing.

   Food was good. Service was terrible maybe because it was Mother’s Day. Had to keep looking for the waitress. She act like she really didn’t care.

   We visited for mothers day as a party of 2. It was crowded as expected and the staff seemed really stressed. When we arrived there was only one host, she seemed overwhelmed and had someone step in to help. We had a reservation and didn't have to wait long. It took awhile for our waiter to see us and get our drinks and the food was a little slow. But it was mothers day, no fault of the staff or kitchen. It seemed that there weren't enough people on the schedule to accommodate for the holiday. At times I saw the servers exchange tense words with each other. The food was great, it was a fixed menu and everything tasted great.

   I booked a reservation at South Kitchen Vinings for Mother’s Day brunch. It was $45 per person for two courses, not including drinks. While the food looked beautiful and our server was friendly, the overall experience was disappointing and overpriced for what we received. My mother ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were hard and poorly prepared. Fried green tomatoes should be firm, not tough, and cooked to a tender bite—they missed the mark. Her second course, The King Biscuit, included an egg she requested over easy, but it arrived completely overcooked and dry. At that point, she lost her appetite and didn’t want to reorder anything else. I had the pan-fried chicken livers, but the sauce was so strong I couldn’t really taste the liver. It wasn’t poorly cooked, just not to my taste. I only ate a couple bites. My second course, Shrimp & Grits, was well done, but I gave it to my mom since she barely touched her meal. What made it worse was the manager’s response. Instead of offering any understanding, she asked whether the egg was "underdone or overdone," as if it wasn't obvious. I wasn’t even asking for a refund—just not to be charged for the biscuit—but was told they couldn’t adjust the price because it was a Mother’s Day fixed menu. Also, charging almost $5 for a small glass of sweet tea should be criminal. To put it in perspective, here's what the dishes cost on their regular menu: The King Biscuit: $18 Fried Green Tomatoes: $14 Chicken Livers: $14 Shrimp & Grits: $27 Subtotal: $73 (excluding drinks) We ended up paying $55.00 for two meals and drinks because my mom's meal was comped, but without that adjustment, our total would’ve been $105.00 before tip. This felt like a significant markup, especially considering the quality of the food didn’t justify the price. I appreciated not being charged for my mom’s meal, but between the poor food execution, inflated pricing, and dismissive attitude from management, I won’t be returning.

   Food and service were great. It was really loud but probably because it was Mother's Day so they were really busy.

   Menu is more “corporate” and the service was abysmal. The server rarely checked in us, appetizer dishes were left on the table long after main course, no steak knives for pork chop, long waits between courses. Overall it was more TGI Fridays than the midtown location. Also the desserts were not good.

   One of my go-to special occasion restaurants. Went here for Mother’s Day. Didn’t do the special menu; just the regular brunch menu. Everything was amazing. Love the fried green tomatoes and she crab soup. I decided to have the trout for my main course. It was a much larger piece than expected, but I’m not complaining.
