Ordered chicken and mashed potatoes. Everyone at the table had it. No one was happy with the food. It lacked good seasoning and chicken was to over cooked. I was not happy with my food at all. Sorry will not be back.

We arrived early for our Sunday Brunch reservation, but were seated right away. The wait staff was attentive without being pushy and provided great menu guidance to our guests, who were first-timers at SCK. Our table settled on two orders of the Brisket Benedict, an SCK Breakfast, and a Pimento Cheese appetizer. All three were deliciously prepared. If you haven't tried the Brisket Benedict before, don't hesitate to do so on your next visit. Despite the usual busy Sunday Brunch crowd, our meal was unhurried and our visit with friends totally pleasant.

The service was very good. We stayed a long time chatting and catching up. The she crab soup is very delicious. We had the shrimp and grits. No little shrimp in this dish! The bowl of shrimp and grits is quite large. We couldn’t finish it. It was very tasty so hated to let our bowl go. We were stuffed.

This is our first time here and we all were mind-blown by the flavors of the food and our waiter, Ryan, who was very understanding and courteous. I have got nothing but outstanding things to say about the food and service. We were seated outside and even after telling one of the waiters to turn down the heat, we felt it was a tad hot throughout our dinner. Other than that, we enjoyed the quiet ambience. We’ll be coming back to taste the other amazing dishes on the menu.

SCK is a must visit when in Atlanta. The fried chicken is the best! Tender and well seasoned. Get it with waffles or collards and mashed potatoes. Both are the perfect pairing. Sunday brunch here with family and friends makes everyone happy with all of the delicious comfort food offerings. The old house setting is like being at home. Wait staff is always friendly.

Service was slow, and the hostess with the short blonde hair was the rudest person I interacted with during my weekend in Atlanta. The food was excellent, particularly the collard greens, fried chicken, and corn chowder. The space is bright and airy, but can get rather noisy. They were very careful about my nut allergy, and our waitress was very sweet. Definitely worth making a reservation on Sundays, as we overheard the hostess telling someone the wait was 2+ hours.

It's a nice little spot where the food is ALWAYS amazing!! I’ve never had anything I did not love! The environment is quaint and the service is great! You will have to pay a penny or two for parking but it’s so worth it! It’s our go to spot when we want to eat good and have some close convo together. Try it, you will love it!

Staying around the corner at the Four Seasons made this restaurant a handy choice. We have been to the South City Kitchen in Vinings several times and liked it alot. I understand this Midtown location is the original restaurant in the group. It sure looked like it. While the Vinings store is new and modern, this Midtown location has some of the feel of a hole in the wall and cozy.

My wife and I are somewhat handicapped and this restaurant is NOT handicap friendly. In fact I really don't see how the place meets the city and federal handicap requirements! You have to go up a number of steps to the front door and the restrooms are upstairs! The worst offense was when we asked where my wife could go to the bathroom using her knee scooter. The only answer was that South City has an understanding with the restaurant two doors down for handicapped clients to use their restroom. What?

The food was good and much like our Vinings experience. Fried Chicken is great as are the other menu items.

This is my second visit to South City Kitchen; my first to the Midtown location. The cute interior was packed and noisy, so the hostess seated me on a covered patio. After a delicious starter of breaded roasted oysters and Southern biscuit and corn bread, I had a perfectly done pork chop. Service was excellent.

Excellent experience at Brunch - our server Sydney was outstanding, as was all of the staff. The food was absolutely amazing from the delicious appetizers, including the best She Crab Soup you'll ever taste to the wonderful breakfast items and their signature grits! Great, Great, Great!

We have been to South City Kitchen several times in the past, but this time was a great disappointment. The service was careless, the food unexceptional, and the environment unfriendly to customers (the staff had opened a bathroom window upstairs on a subzero day in Atlanta- I guess they wanted to be comfortable with no care to customers). Has South City Kitchen become so busy that they are forgetting why we liked them originally?

We returned here for the first time in years because we were going to a concert at the Woodruff Center, and this is one of the few places within walking distance. Unfortunately, things have gone down. The noise level was such that we couldn't hear ourselves talk. Service was OK and the people were nice, but the food was really mediocre. For example, I had trout, which arrived on a large bed of cold beans. The trout wasn't hot, and had the appearance and taste of having spent too much time in the freezer. The wine selection was OK, but a bit overpriced, as was the food.

I had the shrimp and grits and my friends had the chicken and waffles (which I sampled). The shrimp and grits was delicious but the chicken and waffles was divine - next time I'm getting that! Wonderfully tender chicken with a perfectly crispy exterior and a fluffy waffle.

Just wasn’t anything special. Our waiter didn’t seem to be having a good day which definitely impacted his quality of service. The food wasn’t presented well, and just didn’t even compare to many brunch spots in Atlanta. Not terrible, but not worth coming back.

My friend and I came down from Houston for her birthday, and I was on restaurant duty. I saw the many great reviews, so I made a reservation...so glad I did! The food was amazing, and I wanted to take a basket of the cornbread with me. I had the South City breakfast, and it was just enough. The birthday girl enjoyed her food as well; we left nothing behind. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend!

This used to be a really great restaurant, but the service was really bad. Made reservations way in advance through OT, got there for a very early reservation, the restaurant was empty and for some unknown reason, they attempted to seat us outside on the patio at the junky tables, on a rainy and cold afternoon/evening. I had to ask to move to inside and it seemed like a major inconvenience to the person seating us and the host stand. We ended up upstairs with a great server, but she was the only one it seemed actually attending to the tables, so when the upstairs filled up, we got no checking in with us about if we needed another beverage. I would not go back. I used to love this restaurant and was very excited to share this on a really special occasion, but it was the low point of the evening.
