Awesome experience!! We will be back!!
The food and the serve he was top notch!!
We can’t wait to go back!
I have been coming here for many years and it never fails to delight. The food is delicious (fried green tomatoes are a MUST) and the team is fabulous! I make it a point to eat here every time I am anywhere near the Atlanta area.
Always good and convenient to the office.
Braised goat and braised short ribs were wonderful. Tender and flavorful meals. The fried green tomatoes were fabulous- great crust, warm oozy goat cheese.
The staff and MOD were very friendly and extremely hospitable! My date and I had an amazing experience. Will definitely return!
As always, great food and service. One of our favorite places. We will definitely be back soon!
Great service, great food!! Food came out fast. We were stuffed!
Amazing food and service! Cocktails were great too. We’ll be back soon!
Anthony was a fabulous server and his recommendations were spot on!
Great experience, the waiter was awesome! The food was phenomenal as well. The fact i wanted that home experience and it was in a house was a brilliant idea.
Thanksgiving dinner food and service was outstanding!!!!
We were there for Thanksgiving Day Dinner. 4:00 reservation. Everything was wonderful. All staff were helpful and had the best attitudes. They gave their all for a particularly trying day of service, I am sure. We had a lovely time and the food was great. Hat's off to ALL staff.
Was there for Thanksgiving fixed price offering. Food was terribly salty. Drank three bottles of water after the meal.
We sat on the outdoor porch, which was lovely! Our server was friendly and very efficient! The food was good and filling! We ate here for Thanksgiving lunch and really enjoyed it!
Great service. Amazing Food and Experience for their Thanksgiving menu. Would recommend to anyone who wants a different holiday experience.
Went to South City Kitchen for Thanksgiving Neal. So great !!!
We absolutely loved our first visit to South City Kitchen!! It is so convenient to the Alliance Theatre and Woodruff Arts Center. The food and service were FABULOUS, and we really enjoyed the entire experience. We'll be back!
Our server, Jamar, was awesome. He provided excellent service and great menu recommendations.
The main thing that I was upset about was that there was no parking. We had two cars and had to pay $30 to eat here. On top of the bill, food, etc it was a blah evening.
The food was so good and a great twist to southern cuisine.
So delicious with a very accommodating and attentive staff. Definitely recommend!
Good Southern cooking in a place that isn't a dump is worthy of a trip. I would call the restaurant chic, rather than upscale because upscale implies expensive and this is nicely priced. We were a party of five and all of us enjoyed the experience. Personally, I had the trout and thought it was excellently prepared (crispy crust, no bones, good flavor). Two in our party shared the red fish and trout and both liked the trout more. The desserts were excellent. We especially liked the banana bread pudding and the pineapple upside down cake. It's a nice looking restaurant, not to noisy and in one of the nicest parts of Atlanta.
Delicious. Excellent service. The fried chicken. Never fails.
The hostess was very rude. She welcomed two other groups before my party and I was standing right in front of her. I had to interject for her to speak to me. I had a reservation as well.
Great atmosphere and food.
Celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday here. Excellent food and service to make a memorable night.
Food and service were excellent. The tables are a bit close together and the noise level is high, but overall, a great dinner and enjoyable experience.
Dinner with friends. Good food. Noisy.
Nice spot to go with friends. We were a group of three there for lunch to celebrate a birthday. Ambience is great. Food is very good. Service is excellence. It's just a little loud--making it great for small groups. I would go back!
Love the porkchop for dinner and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. And the biscuits are very good and doughy!
Expensive "gourmet" food. Very good gastronomic delights but overpriced for the artistic combinations. Best for a business lunch or dinner with a high profile client, not for a date or quick lunch outing.
Food is still high quality after all these years. Nice place for a lunch meeting and quieter if you eat on the outdoor patio (enclosed for the winter).
My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at South City Kitchen Midtown. From the friendly and helpful service/staff, to the intimate and cozy environment, to the amazing meal and wine list. Simply wonderful experience! We'll definitely return!
My wife and I had dinner at South City Kitchen for the first time on Sunday November 10, 2019.
This is a small restaurant - so reservations are a must. It gets crowded since it is very popular - unfortunately a crowded, small space does get a bit noisy - making conversation a bit of a challenge.
Dress ranges from smart casual to just casual.
Service was excellent - prompt without being overbearing.
Food was a mixed bag.
My wife had the she-crab soup which we both felt was just OK. For her entree she had the goat and pasta. She felt it was under flavored and was short on goat.
I started with the fried green tomatoes - which we both thought were outstanding. Frankly, the best we had ever tried.
I had the duck breast as an entree - and it was perfect. Medium rare, succulent, and tender. It could not have been prepared or presented any better!
We will go back at least once more to see if my wife finds something on the menu that is as good as the meal I enjoyed.
We went to South City Kitchen for Sunday brunch to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. We had an enjoyable meal, service was excellent. We were upstairs so the noise level there was much less than downstairs in the larger area. Will definitely go back!
Real "Southern Food" with a modern twist. Excellent value for money.
Would definitely go back next time I'm in Atlanta.
