We enjoyed the food very much and wished we were hungrier to have tried some of the larger entrees. Well crafted food.
We've been to South City Kitchen a few times and it continues to be fantastic. Pork chop, Steak, Seafood are all top notch.
Excellent excellent food! Try the fried tomatoes and the pork chop!
A bit too noisy by the way...
Excellent food and good service however it was so loud that my friend and I were straining to hear each other. Reading lips over dinner is exhausting.
A must when you’re visiting Atlanta is to dine at south city kitchen great service great local dishes just make sure that you make reservations they book quickly even on weeknights
The food was good as usual, but our service was not very attentive and our food took longer than it should have to get to ur table. We had to ask for things as we need them, such as bread and for our appetizer plate to be cleared.
I’ve been to South City many times. Food, service Is always wonderful. Thank you !!
Food was really good. Service could be better but they were busy. Also prices are outrageous! It was definitely good but I wouldn't return based on pricing.
Food and service were great. Noise level so loud you could hear yourself talk much less speak to your company at a two person table.
A poor initial welcome by the waiter was then recovered by attentive service throughout the night. Food is definitely tasty, the rabbit was delicious and the quail spicy just right. May be a bit milder would be better. The green fried tomatoes tasted more of frying and cheese and there could have been any other vegetable inside. The complimentary pineapple cake (to apologize for the initial kickoff) was welcome and delicious. Definitely a very noisy environment. Overall a good place to go.
Our waiter, Sandy, was spot on! He was polite, efficient, and most importantly, attentive. The food was yummy. Get the fried chicken. OMG!
A favorite dining spot in Midtown with good food and service
Loud so don’t come here if you need to get some business done. More expensive dishes then we were expecting. The trout was amazing though.
Excellent food. Always loud & busy. Service was a little slow.
Best fried chicken EVER! Crab cake is tremendous, shrimp and grits perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is great, cocktails creative and the service is awesome. Wandered upon this place b/c it was near my hotel but I would urge anyone to South City, it will be worth the travel time.
Amazing food! Bartender was terrific
Loved the venue and loved the food. Will definitely go there the next time I'm in Atlanta
We were celebrating a birthday and were enjoying a time of casual conversation, until a large boisterous group, and then a group of 4 very loud obnoxious ladies sat behind us. While the service and food were amazing, we couldn’t wait to get out of there. What started as a nice evening, immediately became extremely stressful. Very disappointed in how the evening turned out.
The fried green tomatoes for the table were excellent. The shrimp and grits ordered by 3 of us was tasty and perfect. The lump crab cakes ordered by the fourth of the group was described as delicious.
She-crab soup was a bit salty with not enough crab meat. But my hanger steak was cooked to perfection. Awesome wait staff and the manager was great. Very nice atmosphere. Good place to have a date.
Great food. Service was fast. Waiter was phenomenal and made great recommendations.
Andy was a terrific server in every regard (asked if we had time constraints, made solid recommendations, staged our order exactly as we asked, was attentive without hovering, and even brought some reading glasses for the table beside ours when the lady realized she had forgotten hers). Salad (peach), appetizer (fried green tomatoes), main course (fried chicken), and dessert (banana pudding brûlée) were excellent. The butter beans got mixed results at our table. A bit pricy and a bit noisy, but all things considered, a very nice evening. We will be back.
great menu - outstanding menu across by the board. We had both dinner and brunch and both were outstanding. Would love to have a menu like this in Orlando.
The service was great! The waitress & the manager was super. But, the food didn't deliver, the coffee was lukewarm, which the manager graciously replaced, the food was tasteless. Only with salt were were able to make it taste like anything to eat. The chicken didn't have any flavor, nor the collards, the field peas dish or the limas. Overall the meal was terrible, only the cornbread muffins & pineapple dessert was good, but it seems they were from a mix we could have made up at home. Not a good eating experience at all.
Service was very good, food was mediocre. Hangar steak very tough.
We had a large group of 11 and they handled our group so well. Our waiter was awesome and made the experience even better. The biscuits were amazing!
Overall was excellent. Could have been a little better keeping our coffee filled as we were there for brunch. Food was a bit pricey but amazing. Honored our reservation immediately as others were told an hour wait. We will be back and use open table.
Food came out way too quickly, felt like we were rushed
Excellent service. Our server was amazing so was the manager on duty.
Fantastic culinary experience. Fabulous service!! Love this place
Great Food and Service. Knowledgeable waitress had great recommendations!!
Was amazing, had the rabbit, chicken liver, steak, and shrimp. Service was amazing.
Insane noise level - crowded - not many vegetarian options
The food was awesome! The service was incredible! Best birthday day my husband enjoyed!
Food and service were absolutely top notch! A little loud for a good meeting though.
Great fried chicken. We were visiting ATL and we came here 2 years ago for the chicken and waffles. It was amazing. The lunch as just as amazing as well. We look forward in going back on our next visit. I am really happy they take reservations as 2 years ago they did not. This place is always crazy busy.
Great food and service but a little loud - upstairs it was hard to have a conversation.
Came as an anniversary double
Date and really enjoyed my time the
Service was stellar and our waiter was nice. I was a little disappointed that the ambience wasn’t as intimate as the location in buckhead. Perhaps lamps or candles on the table mood lighting something would Make it a little dressier as it’s pretty plain in here for the price. But the food was Good loved the rabbit quail and lamb the pork chop was a bit tough not as tender as my
Last visit same with chicken it was dry but overall. Great place I’ll definitely return. Server was great ! Thanks again for a nice dinner!!
I found a piece of hair in my crabcake the manager was called in and immediately took care of it. I still give them all tens because I know sometimes mistakes happen.
