The appetizers were quite tasty, especially the babaganoush, which was served with soft, buttery hot pita bread. Our main dish, lamb tagine, was excellent. At the end of the meal we had Turkish coffee and pistachio ice cream. The coffee was weak and the ice cream was not as flavorful as I hoped, especially given the $12 price tag. I definitely plan to return.
Went there recently for girls night out had a blast. The only thing that I would say is that the service was a little slow. Other than that we all loved it!
The food was outstanding!
This was my second visit at Souk. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great for a romantic occasion. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
Seating is a little too close to other people would like more privacy other than that very nice place
Food was excellent
Souk is one of my favorite restaurants in Trinity Groves. I go there often for business lunches and to break bread with out of town guests.
First time. Food was really good. I had the lamb moussaka and it was delicious. Husband had lamb tagine which we never have had and it was fantastic! Others had chicken kabobs, tabuli and hummus. Everyone enjoyed. Parking is a little crazy on a Saturday night so if you have reservations give yourself and extra 10-15 mins. Would definitely go back.
Wait staff were very attentive and very knowledgeable about menu items. Food was fantastic!
Excellent food and great atmosphere.
Absolutely one of the top 3 dining experiences of the last 6 months. Top tier flavors, service, and value!
Souk is one of my Trinity Groves favorites. The mezze platter could have been a meal for two. All of the dips and spreads were so flavorful and delicious. My only complaint was the flat bread was served cold. It would have been even better if the bread had been hot. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma which was served atop a bed of silky hummus. It was the best I have ever tasted. My roast rack of lamb was also quite good. For dessert I had the creme brûlée. I loved the hint of cardamom and orange. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend you give it a try.
Food not as good as it has been in the past. Drinks were great
Charming atmosphere, great food, great location, belly dance entertainment though not sure what nights it is present. Made our New Year's Eve memorable
New Year’s Eve dinner was fantastic. It was a special menu for Dec. 31. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding—well staffed for a holiday.
It was a bad weather night and we made reservations and drive an hour to the restaurant for a special occasion. When we arrived, we were told they were closing early... once they understood we made reservations they let us stay and provided outstanding service and food and made the night perfect.
Wonderful experience at Souk. Specialty drinks were soooo good. Wait staff is fun and attentive. My meal was great. Would highly recommend this place for any occasion.
The food is phenomenal. The Moroccan meatballs literally melted in the mouth. Would have given 5 stars for service, however our server never asked us if we wanted anything to drink besides the water that comes with the meal. He also bought the check before we even had time to think about dessert and I don’t like sugar in herbal tea, so when I asked for mint tea, I was disappointed to find it so sweet, I couldn’t stand to drink it.
I was extremely happy with every aspect of the restaurant ( food, ambiance and service)
Beautiful restaurant and great food but the server was terrible.
Great location, very good service.
The grape leaves and Babaghanoush appetizers were not up to mark. The chicken kebabs were excellent, though size-wise, they were smaller than I expected.
Overall, a good experience
Great food, different from the beaten path, and the place is really cool.
One of my favorite places for great Moroccan food. Special thanks goes out to Anna who went above and beyond to make sure our evening was perfect in every way from the food, service, ambiance and more. We will be back! Thanks again.
DELICIOUS MEAL, WONDERFUL, CARING SERVICE!!!!
WE EAT OUT A LOT AND SOUK IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS...THE LAMB TANGINE IS AMAZING—AND SO AUTHENTIC, AS ARE ALL OF THE DISHES WE HAVE TRIED...AND BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED, TOO!!!
The service was outstanding. The waiter was very attentive. The food was less than authentic. Sad day when the Moroccan tea is instant.
The atmosphere is fun and eclectic- it really set the tone for a unique meal. The bartender was kind enough to write down the recipe to a cocktail that we thoroughly enjoyed. The portions are generous, and we took home a good doggie bag.
We had a great time. All of the staff was fabulous. Fantastic service. Hookah was fun! Food was yummy. We'll be back for sure.
My husband and I had such a wonderful time we are planning on going back.
Everyone in our party of 5 was pleased by this choice of restaurants for our monthly outing. Great service, wonderful choices of types of foods, even our plant based diet person was able to find something delicious. The waiter was very knowledgeable of what was in each dish. I'd recommend this for a great taste of something different than the usual places we have gone.
Had lunch at souk. The beef cigar appetizer is extremely over priced. $10 for basically two egg rolls filled with goat cheese. They were tasty but for only two egg rolls l the price was too high. Entrees were much more in line with price. Big portions and great flavors
Wonderful Moroccan food with that incredible mint tea. Love the belly dancers on the weekends.
The cocktails were delicious -- I had a special margarita and my friends had various unique cocktails and all were good. I had the lamp kabob which didn't look much like a kabob but delicious anyway. One friend had the lamp tagine, one had the trout tagine, one had the chicken kabob -- all loved their dishes. My friend and I split the salad which looked like a Greek salad and it was delicious as well. We were so full we could not eat dessert.
We had a great time at Souk, we would go more often if we lived closer. Customer service and food was wonderful!
Lamb souvlaki was dry, tough and greasy. Hummus was tasty. Outdoor seating was a bit too loud for my tastes, but it was a busy Saturday evening.
A wonderful experience all around! Our servers both inside the restaurant and outside at the hookah bar were very kind and prompt, and the food was outstanding! If I were in the area longer it would be a staple for me. The prices were not on the lower side, but proved to be worth it.
Client lunch. We were impressed with the food and the staff! I was surprised by the minimal number of lamb dishes offered. Seemed rare for a Mediterranean restaurant, but my steak sandwich was superb and had the best seasoning. Will def go back, maybe for date night!
Some of the best food I have had in Dallas, perhaps ever had...
We had the roasted cauliflower for an appetizer and both had beef kebabs. Both courses were wonderful and they have an extensive wine list. We dined in on a Saturday night and there was live entertainment, which was really enjoyable.
I love Moroccan food, and I could not wait to try out this place. My friends and I were celebrating a birthday. We started off with drinks in the bar area. I had a whiskey cocktail which was delicious. I ordered the lamb tagine for dinner. It was tasty but I would not go back for it. The lamb pieces were tiny and few and the stew on the thin side. We sat outside, which was perfect for a Friday night. We shared the creme rule for dessert which was, meh. The weather was lovely. Our server was nice enough - she got all the orders correct and checked on us occasionally. She did not ask us why we were there or explain any of the dishes. Overall, great location, great ambiance, but the service or the food will not WOW you.
