    It's way too dark, hard to see the menu, your company or the dingy atmosphere The seating is extremely uncomfortable The "background" music is way too loud and distracting The food is extremely mediocre and there are way better options in the city (Nicolas, Mama's on Main) I've been here a few times and I will not be coming back. It's not worth the 3 months in advance you have to book a lame 5pm dinner slot.

    The only negative was it took about 30 minutes to get seated, and we did not get our drink order placed until 8:40pm for an 8pm reservation that we arrived for at 7:51pm. However, once we actually got our drinks and our food, it was the best food we have eaten in Cincinnati. 10/10.

    Heather was amazing! We were a bit intimidated by the menu, but her explanation simplified the courses. We sat in a booth and the whole experience was amazing. The wine, service, FOOD, were perfect. Memorable night for my birthday. We’ll be back.

    Food is always impeccable here. Our server did recite the entire menu from top to bottom which seemed like a bit overkill seeing as though we were returning guests. Additionally, it was very lively and a bit hard to hear each other throughout the meal. However I know this is hard to control. Overall, the best food, beautiful ambiance and knowledgeable service.

    Amazing as always! The short rib pasta, kale Caesar, goat cheese bread starter, and donuts. I always order the same thing and it’s the best thing ever. Best restaurant in Cincinnati! Thank you sotto 👏🏼👏🏼

    The ambience was great, a real gem of a location. It transforms downtown into a combination of old world Italy with a modern attitude. The server explained the menu well and the food was amazing!! A wonderful evening

    Everything was delicious, from my appetizer to my dessert! I will definitely be returning!! The music could be slightly lower and maybe a change of pace to easy listening. But i enjoyed everything!

    The food and service was excellent as always. Heather was our waitress and she was phenomenal! I had always wanted to try the oil packed tuna, caper aioli on the toasted bread, wish I had tried it sooner! The octopus and bean dish may be the best item on the menu. For pasta I had the linguine with clams, superb. I recommend the chocolate budino!

    Didn’t get seated until 15 minutes past our reservation and they forgot to drop our check for 10+ minutes after we finished. Other than that, fantastic experience and great food and environment

    Way too loud with the music had to ask our server to turn it down was shouting across the table to have conversation. It’s very romantic inside don’t understand why the music is so loud like a night club

    Absolutely amazing restaurant...The staff was amazing, Will and Corey went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent anniversary dinner. All of our food was outstanding and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is perfect as well. My husband and I will be back, and this will be our new anniversary spot for sure. The black kale caesar and espresso martini were two of my favorite things along with the ricotta donuts of course.

    Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had! The service was impeccable and the food was perfection! I noticed how much attention the service staff paid to each table, even if they were just dropping off water, they knew it was our anniversary. You don’t get that level of attention everywhere. This was our first visit so we had to try all kinds of things. We started with the charcuterie board. We were surprised by just how much food there was. We were 2 but the small could feed more. Then we had the mozzarella salad. The sun dried tomatoes added extra delicious flavor. We also had the bread with honey and goat cheese. Best thing I’ve ever eaten, I could have made it dessert! My husband got the steak, he said it was one of the best he’d ever tried. I got the pasta with pesto. The homemade noodles were yummy! We managed to eat one ricotta donut and saved the rest for our kids at home. We left feeling full and very happy! Sotto was definitely worth the wait!

    Had a wonderful experience at Sotto. Took my mother for her first time and she enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. William was a great server and we will be visiting again!

    We are hoping tonight was an off night as we have been here many times and have considered this one of our favorite spots in the city. We arrived and were told they were running behind and after 30 minutes after our reservation time we were seated. We ordered everything right away and at the same time so we could leave within a hour or so like we typically do. The donuts are one of the main reasons we come and we ordered those at the end of our meal and waited for about 20-25 minutes before asking our wait staff for the check as we were ready to leave at this point as it was getting late. We asked that the dessert be removed from our check and found out the dessert was never rang in to begin with. We left very disappointed as this was supposed to be a fun birthday dinner and was not by the end of the night. Our other food was very good as usual and again are hoping that this was an outlier experience.

    Our server Molly was OUTSTANDING. From explaining the menu items to two Sotto newbies to going the extra mile of service, she was top-to-bottom amazing. Sometimes it can be hard to justify a $200 night out for two but the level of the food, atmosphere, and service it is totally worth it.

    Fantastic food and service. Short rib cappellacci and ricotta donut holes are my faves but I’ve never had a bad thing in the menu. A must stop whenever you’re in Cincinnati!!

    Heather was our server and she was phenomenal, amazing, knowledgeable and fun!!!! In fact the entire experience was great! The atmosphere is a bit loud but what a cool place and building. All of the food was well presented and prepared, and probably perfect, but some things I loved, and some not so much. I’m pretty sure it’s me not them though! Overall it’s a fantastic place with a staff who seems to love their job and do a great job!

    Our second visit and delicious as always! Was a little disappointed as we didn’t get seated until around 7:20 for our 7pm reservation. Did get bread as a sorry - which was delicious! Both tables next to us were seated after us, and given opportunities to order before us and finished way prior to us. Felt like our food came out a little slow and they were being served quicker, which made the experience drag on. Our server was overall excellent though besides that. Tried the ricotta donuts and they were amazing! Will of course be back but hoping for a better experience.
