Our second visit and delicious as always! Was a little disappointed as we didn’t get seated until around 7:20 for our 7pm reservation. Did get bread as a sorry - which was delicious! Both tables next to us were seated after us, and given opportunities to order before us and finished way prior to us. Felt like our food came out a little slow and they were being served quicker, which made the experience drag on. Our server was overall excellent though besides that. Tried the ricotta donuts and they were amazing! Will of course be back but hoping for a better experience.

We had lofty expectations because of their reputation but were disappointed by the very high music and noise level around 6:00. The service was good, but the food was not great. The veal appetizer was so tough and undercooked we sent it back and the clam entre was just so-so. It was not the romantic experience we expected in a top of the line restaurant.

Every single employee that we encountered was exceptional! They seem to all help each other out, so we had quite a few bring things out. Superb staff! The food was excellent. The atmosphere..the best. This place is so beautiful! Everything made for a top notch experience!

Our servers rushed us all evening and the other wait staff rushed us out of our table. We were there just under 2 hours. If there was a stated time limit on a table we would have complied but communicating that would have been appreciated. I still had food on my plate and my fork as they cleared our table and my plate. I had to tell them not to take my plate yet as I was still eating. Food was overly salted on all entrees. The tuna, octopus and kale salad were amazing. Too bad as I love this place. Maybe it was a fluke but it was an unfortunately hurried evening. We signed our checks and the minute the pen was put down the check was picked up. No coffee service with dessert. A hurried experience.

Food was great, selection was outstanding. Molly did a great job explaining the menu and that was a great help to first time diners. The staff was attentive, but not interrupting at all. Consistent checking with us was much appreciated. The meal flowed nicely with time to savor each course without feeling rushed. Highly recommend Sotto as a restaurant you must try. Will be back soon!

Went for my partner and I's 6 year anniversary. It was fantastic! A great fine dining establishment with modern authentic Italian cuisine. We can't wait to go back.

We always look forward to the chance to eat at Sotto. The restaurant is beautiful, it’s rustic, and it has a great vibe. The cocktails are outstanding. Something as simple as bread and olive oil…outstanding! Last night was s little disappointing just because of the salt. A couple of our entree’s were SO SO salty. The Cacio e Pepe was really salty and our son’s “noodles with marinara” was off the chart salty. Molly was our server and was amazing. We had a timeline to make a concert, and she drew out dinner just long enough for us to enjoy the time completely. I’m old…I know…but the music is just a touch too loud…just a touch.

Sotto always provides a great dining experience. The food is amazing! It was really noisy during this last trip so we had to yell for the table of 6 to be able to hear. We also waited 10-15 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. It probably took 30 minutes for drinks to hit the table after we sat down. But then it was entirely worth the wait when every single thing was exceptional. Definitely go- just not if you’re in a hurry!

This is HANDS DOWN, the greatest food experience in Cincinnati! Quality is off the charts. Service is impeccable. General Manager deserves an award! Nothing bad to say. Whatever is above 5 stars is what this restaurant is deserving of. Michelin Star quality without the stuffiness of fine dining.

As always, each visit surpasses the previous one. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve forgotten the server’s name, but she was incredible! We were there for my wife’s birthday after a disappointing flight cancellation to key west for the weekend. Mentioned that in passing while chatting with the server and she got word the the GM, Corey. They both went so far out of their way to make my wife’s day special! Sotto isn’t dinner, it’s an experience and everyone should try it as often as they possibly can!

Sotto is a special Italian restaurant! We ordered 3 primi entrees: cacio e pepe, short rib ravioli, and linguini with clams. All were superb! Their dessert ricotta donuts with 3 sauces is not to be missed. Enough to share and served warm with powdered sugar -yum. My husband finished off hisdinner with homemade limoncello, which was much better than many we sampled in Italy. Make your reservations several months in advance!

The staff was so nice and accommodating. My table wasn’t ready because the people before were taking long on dessert but they were able to seat me at the chef’s table. Mackenzie my waitress was very attentive and gave me great recommendations. The hostess who sat me was very kind.

Love the location and feel of Sotto; it’s a perfect mix between a big city place to be with the friendliness of your local. We sat at the bar and the staff talked to us like we were old friends. Great vibe, knowledgeable service, and incredible food! The pastas and donuts stole the show!

My fav in Cincy. Food is incredible augmented by excellent staff. It is very dark and very loud. Knowing that I still give it 5 stars. I can handle the lighting. The noise level could be addressed, however. It is challenging to have a 4 person conversation.

Food was delicious and service was excellent. We were greeted right away by a server. The noise level was over the top. It was a crowded night (which is a good thing) but the background music made it difficult to hear our server's recommendations or listen to the person with whom i was dining.

It’s always hard to narrow down what I liked best at Sotto’s. The new gourd side and rabbit pasta were winners. The well curated wine list introduced me to a great moscato. Mitch’s service was great!

Sotto has some of the the best professional and kindest servers there. My favorite server there is Skyler. She is attentive, sweet, and recommends the best dishes and wines. I will be back many times!

Everything about the experience was fantastic. My partner and I went for our first time, and are so happy we were able to get a reservation. The drinks, dishes, customer experience, servers, EVERYTHING… was great. Heather was our server and she was a 10/10! Will definitely be going again.

Always a great experience when we go to Sotto. We started with a table bread and the goat cheese bread. Both were yummy! Next, we got the kale caesar salad, it was good but better the last time we were at Sotto. I got the agnolotti con ricotta which was yummy but not my favorite dish I've had at Sotto.(my favorite is the Cappellacci, so far). My husband got the Linguine alle vongole which was good but not his favorite dish there as well. For dessert, we of course got the ricotta donuts and they were great. Service was wonderful as always! Overall worth it.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday because Sotto is one of our favorite restaurants! We live in Dayton and always try to find an excuse to come to Cincinnati. We got lucky and scored two seats last minute! Our server, Heather (I think), was very friendly and informative! The food was scrumdidilliumptious! We always get the goat cheese toast because it’s lights out!! We each got a salad because we needed SOMETHING green and a couple pasta dishes to share-cappellacci (duh). Chef’s kiss once again. Wish you were closer to Dayton but we appreciate the adventure. Go Reds!
