Sorrisi Ratings and Reviews
Sorrisi has everything. A vibrant menu filled with classic Italian entrees and with delicious and inventive fare. Everything is fresh and made to order. Chef Stephen Collins has a real imaginative flair a passion for food and every plate coming out of that kitchen shows it. Decor is very nice. The restaurant is good for large parties but still intimate enough for a romantic date. Cocktails are even original here. The bar is not to be missed. I love the Italian sangria, myself. So if Italian home cooking with a delightful twist is what you are looking for, give sorrisi a try.
Excellent food and a very nice place to celebrate a special occasion. Our birthday person got a nice dessert with a candle . Food was tasty , service was excellent. Only down side is that I thought our first course of salads and cheese and meat tray could have been a bit larger. The chocolate mousse is to die for, yummmmmy. I look forward to returning soon.
We've been here a few times and we love it! Only negative... food is not hot. I saw someone else said the same thing. You'd think they would be more observant, but I guess not. The pasta was cold on all our dinners. Price was great ; service excellent! I'll go back !
We wanted to watch the fireworks on July 3 at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, so we decided to have dinner at Sorrisi, as the menu looked good. It appeared that they were understaffed and we waited 15-20 minutes before our server arrived. It was obvious she was handling too many tables, and there didn't appear to be a great deal of support help for her. Once the food was ordered, it came relatively quickly. The food was a mix of good and fair: the mussels appeared overcooked, as they were small and shriveled, charcuterie board kale was very plain and bland, as was the carpaccio. The lamb chops were very nice, meaty and well seasoned.
This restaurant is located inside the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek. A party of 5 went here for dinner this past Wednesday, and the service was impeccable. Our waitress Joan was outstanding! This is a very pricey restaurant, but if one orders wine at the bar on Wednesday, the drinks are only $7; whereas if one orders at the table prices are $2 - $5 more. The entrees were varied and ranged from $28 - $50 pp. Food was prepared very well and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The service was wonderful.
The steak Sorrisi is my favorite...a delicious porterhouse. Nancy is the best server as she combines her knowledge of the menu, very friendly attitude, excellent service and a talent for remembering the patrons' favorites. The staff is friendly and ready to please.
Food was very good but the wait staff seemed to be in some disarray. Our waiter was very attentive but the server was clueless as I ordered artichoke for an appetizer and he brought chicken soup??? Then the main meal came with the appetizer immediately preceding it. Again food was very good but execution of the meal was disorganized. They apologized and were going to send the manager over but that never happened....
While the food was excellent and service good, it was very difficult to have a conversation with the couple who we came to dinner with. The four of us have been to Sorissi previously and enjoyed the food and quiet atmosphere. It was very, very loud and hard to hear due to a very large birthday party with music and singing going on behind us. We didn't stay for desserts and coffee because of the noise levels. Not sure if we will return.
The food was delicious, noodle made fresh.
We were celebrating our Anniversary and the staff acknowledged that by greeting us and wishes. They also surprised us with a special dessert.
The cheesecake was the best we ever had.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
We always make Sorrisi our stop when visiting.
Thank you for making our 39th Anniversary special.
This was not my first time dining at Sorrissi's. Not only was the food excellent, but we had a waitress by the name of Nancy Raik, who managed to make all of her guest feel like she was there for them alone. She waitressing was accomplished like a work of art. Great place to dine, any time.
Well my first time here thanks to my aunt & uncle for my post birthday dinner. Just a tip make reservations before. The atmosphere is very nice. Great ambiance. Karen the manager was very polite & helpful she's very very professional & pleasant. For appetizer we had calamari & the texture of it was very good not much a fan of the flavor but the texture was good. So when we came we sat by the bar outside where Selvin assisted us & he was very attentive till the reservation time we closed the first bill then walked to the front. Got our table & Maria our server was good. Ordered the lamb & had to keep sending it back I don't eat bloody meat & they keep bringing it out uncooked. Everything else was good the stuffed lobster wars good. Very good evening only thing was the lamb really disappointed & didn't like my meal.
We arrived 20 minutes early. Even though there were numerous tables empty we could not be seated for 20 minutes. When the 20 minutes passed we asked for a table on the patio where a lot of tables empty and were told we had to sit inside. We didn't stay. Staff rude. We passed by the patio about 1/2 hour later and the patio tables were still mostly empty. Will never return. The experience was so bad.
Another Sorrisi failure. Food was average at best but took over 75 minutes from order to table arrival of food. For a casino restaurant that should want you back at the tables, not acceptable at all and management could not care less. Kitchen was incompetent and we were able to see how little staff they have as it was a viewable space. Nyy steakhouse pushes better food in less than half the time. Wont be back even when food is free.
