About Sorrento's Ristorante
Sorrento’s Ristorante at Tsillan Cellar’s owner, Dr. Bob Jankelson, admits that the food of Italy captured him before he developed his interest in wine. Dozens of teaching trips to Italy instilled an appreciation of Italian cuisine paired with food friendly wine shared with friends and family. The same meticulous attention to detail evident in Tsillan Cellars stunning Italian architecture and grounds, transfers to a kitchen that brings world class dining to the shores of Lake Chelan. In winter, the inviting Italian fireplace and panoramic views of Lake Chelan and snow clad mountains blend with award winning food and wine to leave indelible memories. Outstanding ambiance, food, wine and service--- four reasons Sorrento’s Ristorante at Tsillan Cellars was named OpenTable Top 100 Scenic Restaurants in America in 2014.

Sorrento's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Our hopes were very high, but unfortunately this experience was really disappointing. Though the restaurant and winery are gorgeous, the service was really slow, and the food was nothing special. I know our aerver tried his best, but for fine dining, he was just not a good fit. He didn't try to engage us at all! Fortunately, prices weren't too high, or I would have been pretty upset about the overall experience.
I may go back for wine (amazing!) and appetizers, but probably not for dinner.
My Chicken Marsala was $28. It was a flat tasteless chicken breast on top of a bed of boring pasta. No mushrooms at all in dish! Very disappointing meal for the price. My husband and I were looking for an awesome meal with great ambiance. The fire place was burning so hot everyone was sweating. Our waiter knew nothing about wine...so he was no help in choosing a bottle.
Beautiful place but terrible eating experience.
Make a reservation! Not to be missed!
The food was excellent. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. The only thing that ruined an excellent experience was a large table of 12+ women who were having a "dinner/meeting". They were very loud and after their dinner there was clinking on glasses, followed by comments, then hooting and hollering engulfing the rest of the dining room. Our first table was just next to them, but we immediately requested a new table. Even sitting halfway across the room the noise was deafening. I'm sure the restaurant appreciated all the money they brought in, but it ruined it for other diners. One table next to them asked for their check when their food arrive and they were gone in about 10 minutes.
Our first visit to Sorrento's was fabulous! You really feel like you have arrived at a little bit of Tuscany. Service was very good. I have lots of allergies and they were totally ok with that. I chose the strawberry goats cheese salad and added some jumbo prawns which was delicious. My husband had the salmon which he also really enjoyed. Wine is also excellent and same price as the wineshop which was appreciated. Highly recommend, especially for a romantic dinner or classy lunch on the terrace.
The service was really slow, it took 50 minutes to get to our table. And once we got our food it was luke warm, like it was waiting on the counter. My friend ordered the Caesar salad and the lettuce was wilted. Definitely not worth the money we spent.
This place is an incredible gem in Chelan! We felt like we stepped into Italy as we drove up. The wine was excellent and the ambiance and view were more than amazing. You have a view of the vineyards, the mountains and lake Chelan all from your table! Not to mention the food was out of this world. They perfectly blend the Italian classic pasta dishes with the seafood and local favorites of Washington.
Really great restaurant (best in Chelan) with fantastic views. The food has always been good and the service has been great except this time our waiter was not the most efficient. We go back every time we visit and have recommended it to friends and taken our family there.
We recently dined here with our two children (6 & 4). The food and wine were amazing. The view was gorgeous which made for a really nice setting for us. Our kids were entertained for a bit by the fish food for the coy fish in the small pond area off the dining area. We were able to sit back and enjoy our food and wine and will definitely be going back.
Once again our experience was amazing. We treated a special friend and were hoping to impress. The service was top notch and enhanced the amazing view. There's not a bad seat in the house for this incredible view. The food was great and the evening was perfect. These folks really understand hospitality and customer experience. We'll return again.
The food and service are over the top. The setting on the hill with a view of Lake Chelan is tremendous. Their menu specifies a food specialty and the proper wine to pair with it. The Pino Grigio was a perfect match for the seafood cannelloni. Ended up buying a bottle when we left.
Will definitely come back here next time we are in Chelan.
