Italian
Sorrento’s Ristorante at Tsillan Cellar’s owner, Dr. Bob Jankelson, admits that the food of Italy captured him before he developed his interest in wine. Dozens of teaching trips to Italy instilled an appreciation of Italian cuisine paired with food friendly wine shared with friends and family. The same meticulous attention to detail evident in Tsillan Cellars stunning Italian architecture and grounds, transfers to a kitchen that brings world class dining to the shores of Lake Chelan. In winter, the inviting Italian fireplace and panoramic views of Lake Chelan and snow clad mountains blend with award winning food and wine to leave indelible memories. Outstanding ambiance, food, wine and service--- four reasons Sorrento’s Ristorante at Tsillan Cellars was named OpenTable Top 100 Scenic Restaurants in America in 2014. We were named WA State Winery of the Year 2020 by Wine Press Northwest! We look forward to your visit.

Our table was ready when we arrived, ordered a bottle of wine, then dinner. Awesome linguine il pescatore and my wife had Prime Filet, also very good. Ended the night with Chocolate Lava Cake a la Mode. We’ll be back.

Very tasty Linguine il Pescatore pasta but for $28 you would have thought you would have gotten some bread or maybe a small salad. No, just a bowl of pasta? And this was on the lunch menu. The same dish on the dinner menu is $36 Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you want a full meal. Waitress never asked if we wanted dessert, which would have been nice since it was my birthday. Just brought the bill which came to $74 For the two of us without the tip☹️

Thank you for your review! I'm sorry you weren't asked about dessert and we missed the opportunity to wish you a happy birthday. Please visit us again and I will be sure we can "recelebrate" :) The lunch size Pescatore is smaller/less seafood than the dinner portion and we don't serve bread at lunch but this feedback helps me make change to the way we do business and I greatly appreciate your perspective on your visit! We look forward to serving you again in the future! Cheers! Jamie M - GM

Service and setting were/are excellent. All three breakfast-potato servings at our table were cold. Restaurant staff quickly replaced with warm potato servings.

Music was too loud, performer sang off-key at times.

Food was very good. Filet cooked perfectly, Eggplant Parm was delicous, and the Caprese Salad was very well done. Our only issue was with the noise level. We were initially seated right in front of a electronic piano that was vacant, only to have a singer/piano player appear a few minutes later. The waiter couldn't even hear us placing our order. We moved to a table another dozen feet away, but it was still tooloud to have a conversation. And our plans for a quiet dinner on February 15th (a belated Valentines Dinner) went out the window. Light piano would have been fine, but this entertainer was singing loudly, and talking to the audience between songs like we were in a dance club somewhere. The only saving grace was that he was fairly talented. If you want a quiet dinner I would call ahead first to see if there will be "entertainment".

The service was outstanding!
We really enjoyed the food.
The noise level in the restaurant with the live music was a bit much at times, but the piano artist was exceptional.

My wife & I were seated in the back (near the kitchen & bar) of the room next to a table of 16 people with a screaming toddler. Way too much noise (even without the screaming toddler)! We ordered a bottle of wine & had about 2 sips before the waitress was back to take our order for food. Our salads arrived about 90 seconds later, & the food was there before we had finished the salad. We set the salads to the side, & they were quickly taken away, even though we were going to finish them along with our meal. We felt like we were being rushed because it was so crowded. Also, we were supposed to get a 2016 vintage, but we were brought a 2017 vintage wine. My wife & I just wanted to have a nice romantic dinner... it was anything but! We corked the remainder of the wine, paid the bill, & left.

Venue is gorgeous, wine needs improvement and food is over priced. Calamari was good but pricey and the spaghetti and meatballs had a great sauce but the meatballs were rubbery. Our wedge salads were average; I would have liked more than 2 grape tomatoes. The best thing about our meal was the warm baguette and we requested butter as the dipping oil was more of a heavy balsamic dressing that was strong with mustard.

Generally a wonderful location and restaurant. Wife’s main course was good, but mine was not desirable (eggplant parmigiana - the eggplant had hardly been cooked). Should have sent it back...if it happens again, I will.

Awesome Crab Benedict on their brunch menu! First time we have eaten there, it is now going to be our go to restaurant in Chelan. After brunch, had a very informative wine tasting experience at Tsillan Cellars, which is the attached winery. The owner/winemaker, Bob Jankelson, spent a considerable amount of time with us, telling us the history of the vineyards and the winery, as well as sharing his knowledge on the various wines we were tasting. One of the best wine tasting experiences we have ever had.

Our appetizer of scallops and my husband's steak were excellent. However, my pesto prawn linguine was not good. I have ordered this at Sorrentos several times. This time, the pasta was swimming in oil and the dish had far too much garlic. I would not order this again.

Beautiful location, but the food could be improved. The beet salad had minuscule amounts of beet and the eggplant Parmesan was the worst that I have ever had. There were two very thin pieces eggplant heavily breaded to about 1/2" thick and then over cooked. The pastas were bland also. The chicken Marsala had onions which wasn't listed on the menu.

The tomato soup was excellent!

This place was great. I took my girlfriend there for her birthday dinner and wine tasting the next day. The food was great and service was fast. Reasonably priced and presentation was nice. The view was spectacular. They even gave her a complimentary desert for her birthday. Can’t wait to go again!

I've eaten here before. Truly a highlight of a trip to Lake Chelan! Although evening is great with the view of the lights of the area (it's set on a side hill) earlier evening into night is best as the view is great and fun to see it in day light as well as night. As for the food? I went with the prix fix meal with additional apertivo scallops. Wonderful!!! Jamie the new manager is very nice and wanting to take an already very good restaurant and make it even better.
