The Pepper crusted Ahi Tuna over lemon risotto was outstanding! The Lobster bisque first course was creamy and smooth. The raspberry sorbet was a sublime finish. Great summer lunch.
My husband and I loved it! The food was wonderful, I got the steak and he got the tuna. Both were cooked perfectly and the service was wonderful.
Loved the ambiance and very impressed with staff. Food wonderful!
Sorrento is old style Italian. The service was very efficient and professional. The breads are terrific, although they only offer them once. The lobster bisque was thin and lacking flavor, and the risotto with my scallops was bland.
One of the CONSISTENT great places to dine!! Service is ALWAYS top notch!!!
Love the place and service is excellent
Sorrento continues to be our favorite restaurant. Fernando's service, along with the rest of the crew, is absolutely fantastic. We feel like we are part of the family, from the welcome hugs to getting kicked out the door at closing. Of course, the food is delicious - as a starter, you must try the mushroom risotto, and anything on entree list is great (we had mushroom ravioli, veal osso bucco, and italian sausage torchetti). Although we were tucked away a little, we could still hear Mark's fantastic live piano music. If you really want to pamper yourself, just make a reservation and get to Sorrento as quickly as possible.
Excellent customer service and ambiance to add to overall experience.. love the live piano bar . Table selection in room with fireplace i recommend to sit
We have visited Sorrento many times and have always found their service, quality of food and ambience to be outstanding. We will continues to visit this restaurant.
Food and ambiance was superb. But service could have been better. We felt rushed. Everything was done in 40 minutes. We will come back, and hopefully will have a better service. May be booking earlier time may help. Thank you.
Great food, great service, nice ambiance with a pianist.
This ad to be the best meal I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional. All in all it is my favorite restaurant
This was a last minute date night and will definitely be one we will frequent more often. The wine, server, pianist and ambiance was all so perfect.
Excellent service and attention to details. Food was spectacular!
We sat in the Sun Room (the room on the west side of the restaurant), so it was a little quieter than the rest of the restaurant. The food was, as always, outstanding, from appetizers to entrees to desserts--absolutely perfect. Our appetizers (party of six) included Escargots and Wild Mushroom Risotto. The entrees included the Branzino, Osso Buco and Veal Scallopini. Shared desserts included the Creme Brulee and the Bread Pudding, which received rave reviews.
In spite of a full restaurant, service was excellent. We only wish the bread service would be offered more than once, as the bread is delicious.
Wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Houston
Overall great dining experience. Been coming for a while!
We've been to Sorrento a few times and like before, all the dishes we ordered were excellent during this visit. A table next to us was very... shall we say... boisterous, often-time drowning out the pianist (who calmly and confidently played through all the noises). Service was very good, except for a short period when our waiter disappeared after pouring our wine and serving us our appetizers. He reappeared later though and was very attentive for the rest of the evening. He even called the valet ahead and had our car ready just as we walked out the door.
The food was sooo amazing. My waitress was very attentive while also not hovering a lot which I like. The ambiance was really nice. Overall the service was amazing and the food was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend.
The bread selection was DELICIOUS. The fettucine alfredo was MUY DELICIOUSOS! I will return!
Wonderful across the board. We will definitely be back!
Deliciosa cómoda, excelente ambiente y servicio en un lugar refinado.
We celebrated our anniversary at Sorrento. It was perfect. A romantic setting including live piano music. Our waiter, Fernando, was attentive, friendly and professional. He graciously accommodated our desire to split dishes in the most appropriate manner for each dish.
The best part was the food itself. Immediately upon seating we were our choice of various breads which could be dipped in the spiced olive oil. Each dish seemed better than the previous dish. We started with lobster tortelloni with lemon cream sauce and caviar. Deliciously rich. More than one person would want to eat as a starter. Our next course was a sublime veal picatta with garnish of artichoke heart and haricot vert and a side of homemade torchetti pasta. The sauce was substantial but not heavy. We closed with coffee and double chocolate cake topped with vanilla gelato and praline sauce. Along with the excellent food were a nice collection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices.
Sorrento is not inexpensive, but unlike many upper echelon restaurants it is well worth the price. We could not have been more pleased.
Wild mushroom ravioli was good but the butternut squash ravioli was better. Bruschetta with Roma tomatoes was really good!
We had a party of 5 for a late birthday celebration. The food, service and ambiance were all amazing. Looking forward to dining there again soon.
