Always perfect - so excited for their renovation!
It was perfect as always! We had Petra as our waitress and as usual she was great. Diana, the hostess, always greets you with a smile and a big hello. Great way to start your day.
We had breakfast as a family at Sorin’s on Easter morning. The service was fast and friendly, the food was excellent, and the setting was delightful. I have eaten at Sorin’s many times and have never been disappointed.
Food and atmosphere good; service surprisingly slow. Also surprisingly pricy--did not anticipate a la carte pricing for side dishes.
Mom’d Weekend brunch, great!
Had a great meal, great service and a wonderful time! We all had different items to eat and everything was wonderful! Our server was great - attentive but not overbearing.
As an alumni of Notre Dame, it is a pleasure to have such a great restaurant on campus. We stayed at the Morris Inn, and had a very busy schedule. So it was also wonderful that we did not have to drive anywhere. You should skip the after dinner drink and head next door to Rohr's and wrap up your night with a drink made by Murf.
Sorin's is lovely but for breakfast in South Bend, Indiana, it is horribly overpriced. A bloody mary is $14. My "Irish" french toast was $13. With a side of bacon and the tip I paid $40 -- for Breakfast!!
Nice restaurant in the hotel "right on campus." The food is good, the restaurant space itself is what you might expect for a hotel restaurant. The real "five star" experience is being at the University of Notre Dame and experiencing the magic that is ND. If you understand ND no explanation is necessary, if you do not understand "the magic of ND" no explanation is sufficient. Service was excellent, menu was limited, but diverse. Preparation of our food was quite good, top notch. All in all a great experience on campus.
All was great & enjoyed very much.
Was very comfortable environment, peaceful & food was really great.
A new server, Makayla Mantu, ND'17, was very pleasant, able bering tutored by Petra.
Excellent in all aspects
For an upscale restaurant in the area, service was average.
Food was extremely disappointing. No flavor at all. Filet was tender and mashed potatoes were good. Otherwise felt was complete waste of money. Very overrated. Service was good. Would never go back or recommend.
Had a fixed menu for Valentines Day Dinner. Food was delicious! The after dinner drink presentation was awesome.
Wait staff was really hustling. But I think they were a person or 2 short staffed, which slowed the timing down a little bit. Overall great evening - our waiter was a master at his craft!
The cream of corn soup was delicious, but the Ceasar salad was not very good. I should have ordered the grilled romaine which I like very much. The lettuce for the salad I ordered was not good.
What a marvelous time we had at tea at Sorin’s. From the valet service through the wine, it was the perfect celebration with my friend.
Our server, Ashley, was an absolute delight. Professional, but not stuffy at all, she made the whole experience extra special.
Thank you to all the staff...we will be back!
Quality of food and service seemed to have lost quality since last visit. It was a slow night, which may have contributed.
A creative and thoughtful menu with welcome healthy options. Broccoli side and faro/kale side were DELICIOUS. Steak was perfect. Blackened salmon salad was OK, except that the greens seemed to have been dumped from a Dole bag. Unfortunate. Service is friendly and homey. Great desserts. A solid 4 stars. Oh yes, essential: free valet parking.
The wait staff. as usual, were very helpful and attentive. However, I was quite surprised that I was charged $12.00 for a Bloody Mary, when I indicated "bar vodtka." The small Bloody Mary at Legends two weeks ago cost $6.00.
Restaurant is located inside Morrison Inn. Valet parking is provided.
Very elegant and enjoyable! Great food at amazing prices!
Very nice service, room and ambiance. We will return again.
The food was great. The duck well prepared and nicely presented. Waitress forgot the bread and we had to remind her. Not that we were in too much of a hurry, she was slow. Had several large parties. We were not offended and we ended up talking to folks around us. Was a busy evening
We ended up unexpectedly with the breakfast menu (my misunderstanding). Some interesting options. Shaved brussel sprouts the Eggs Benedict was nice although the hollandaise sauce was less than great in flavor. Seemed pricey for what it all was - but - it is Notre Dame after all.!
Nice atmosphere. Grateful to have a place to dine on Christmas Day.
Waiting an hour and a half for food
drinks were expensive and average
Had very solid Xmas eve dinner at Sorins. It was pretty full but our table in the corner was very quiet and conversation was easy. The duck was very good and the presentation of the dish was very artful. Reserve wine from Paul Hobbes was excellent.
Server was very inattentive. Though the restaurant wasn’t very full, it was a long time before food was delivered, and then it was only lukewarm. Server forgot to deliver a beverage and had to be asked.
Sorin’s is a gem located on the University of Notre Dame campus.
A great spot for breakfast or lunch. Excellent for dinner!
Go for the famous butternut squash soup - stay for the chicken crepes! A+++
Really good food in a college library atmosphere. Decor and ambience basically a college dining hall but the food was excellent.
Sorin has an excellent menu, great service, and it is a lovely, quiet place to dine and have a conversation.,
The restaurant is exceptional, from ambiance, service to the food!
Lovely. Irish coffee was exceptional
Have dined previously on Thanksgiving with a lovely Buffet. Wasn't aware it was offered this year when reservations were made (actually, not until after placing orders from the menu)
Brunch menu was diverse and offered a variety of selections, though not especially to my morning taste. The fried chicken salad was an interesting blend of flavors, but a little heavy on spice. The steak was more on the well done side rather than med rare as ordered and somewhat salty. Overall, I have to say this experience was disappointing and not up to the usual excellent Sorin fare.
Good place for a casual lunch with friend
Staff was very accommodating and the food was excellent.
my food was GREASY---AFTER I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THAT LITTLE/NO OIL BE USED. THE CHEF IS STILL BACK 40 YEARS AGO WITH GREASY FOOD AND OILY SALAD DRESSINGS---WHOSE FOCUS SHOULD BE THE HERB FLAVOR, NOT THE OIL
We were originally booked at Sorin’s but they moved us to Rohr’s because of a private event. But it was totally fine. The food was very good. The service was excellent. Really like the Pumpkin toast and the coffee. I had a great time there having breakfast with my colleagues. We all loved it.
