Sorin’s serves classic, traditional French cuisine with a modern Midwest flair. Located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, just steps from the Golden Dome, Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Sorry to hear they are closing
Great environment for meeting. Food is always good.
I enjoy going to Sorin's. Will hate to see it close. Looking out the large windows while dining is a great treat.
Excellent meal although a bit overpriced in our opinion. Paula, our server, was excellent and the food was very, very good (except for the asparagus on the dover sole entree). The sides are way, way overpriced. It is too bad that Sorin's will close after the football season as it has always been a great place to celebrate a special event or to enjoy a special dinner.
We had a delicious breakfast, the waffles are the best!
Sorin’s is a wonderful option for lunch. The menu is rather extensive, and everything I’ve ordered is absolutely delicious. It is also nice to dine outside of some of the typical lunch spots in town. Eating at Sorin’s feels like a special occasion!
If you’re visiting the Notre Dame campus, treat yourself at least once to dinner at Sorin’s. Friendly service and well-executed dishes on one of the most beautiful campuses in the country.
Breakfast at Sorin’s offers some great options. It can get busy, and service then gets a little slow, but with the pot of coffee on the table the wait isn’t too bad.
Food was great, but the service was bad. Not attentive at all.
Great ambiance, food and service. Great for special occasion!
Great environment, great services and outstanding food.
The meal was very good overall though one or two of us found our chicken slightly undercooked in the middle. Service and atmosphere excellent.
Sorin's is a real hidden treasure in South Bend. The food is always lovely, the service is professional and attentive, the setting is quiet enough to let you enjoy your dinner guests and converse without shouting for restaurant noise that has become so common. Great wine list and the flaming Irish coffee tastes as amazing as the performance while it is being prepared.
We had both breakfast and dinner here. Both were amazing!!!! We had the duck/steak and risotto. Everyone enjoyed their entree. All the breakfast foods we tried were great too. Wait staff was excellent
Food and staff were amazing. We had both dinner and Sunday brunch there
We enjoyed a good dinner in a relaxing atmosphere.
Our waiter was attentive and gave good recommendations. Would definitely return and tell friends.
Excellent service and food. Would definitely return and recommend.
Duck special was amazing. Very tender which is hard to find with duck dishes. Scallops special also delicious. Corn chowder was fine. Service was attentive but drinks were slow due to a large cocktail crowd on the patio
Juan was Outstanding. He made our anniversary ever so special. Flowers, the strawberries and even the fired frangellico coffees were fantastic! We will always remember what he did for us! Great Experience!!
It was what one would expect in an upscale restaurant. The fact that it was in the Morris Inn on the Notre Dame campus made it more special.
Always perfect - so excited for their renovation!
It was perfect as always! We had Petra as our waitress and as usual she was great. Diana, the hostess, always greets you with a smile and a big hello. Great way to start your day.
We had breakfast as a family at Sorin’s on Easter morning. The service was fast and friendly, the food was excellent, and the setting was delightful. I have eaten at Sorin’s many times and have never been disappointed.
Food and atmosphere good; service surprisingly slow. Also surprisingly pricy--did not anticipate a la carte pricing for side dishes.
Mom’d Weekend brunch, great!
Had a great meal, great service and a wonderful time! We all had different items to eat and everything was wonderful! Our server was great - attentive but not overbearing.
As an alumni of Notre Dame, it is a pleasure to have such a great restaurant on campus. We stayed at the Morris Inn, and had a very busy schedule. So it was also wonderful that we did not have to drive anywhere. You should skip the after dinner drink and head next door to Rohr's and wrap up your night with a drink made by Murf.
Sorin's is lovely but for breakfast in South Bend, Indiana, it is horribly overpriced. A bloody mary is $14. My "Irish" french toast was $13. With a side of bacon and the tip I paid $40 -- for Breakfast!!
Nice restaurant in the hotel "right on campus." The food is good, the restaurant space itself is what you might expect for a hotel restaurant. The real "five star" experience is being at the University of Notre Dame and experiencing the magic that is ND. If you understand ND no explanation is necessary, if you do not understand "the magic of ND" no explanation is sufficient. Service was excellent, menu was limited, but diverse. Preparation of our food was quite good, top notch. All in all a great experience on campus.
All was great & enjoyed very much.
Was very comfortable environment, peaceful & food was really great.
A new server, Makayla Mantu, ND'17, was very pleasant, able bering tutored by Petra.
Excellent in all aspects
For an upscale restaurant in the area, service was average.
Food was extremely disappointing. No flavor at all. Filet was tender and mashed potatoes were good. Otherwise felt was complete waste of money. Very overrated. Service was good. Would never go back or recommend.
Had a fixed menu for Valentines Day Dinner. Food was delicious! The after dinner drink presentation was awesome.
Wait staff was really hustling. But I think they were a person or 2 short staffed, which slowed the timing down a little bit. Overall great evening - our waiter was a master at his craft!
The cream of corn soup was delicious, but the Ceasar salad was not very good. I should have ordered the grilled romaine which I like very much. The lettuce for the salad I ordered was not good.
What a marvelous time we had at tea at Sorin’s. From the valet service through the wine, it was the perfect celebration with my friend.
Our server, Ashley, was an absolute delight. Professional, but not stuffy at all, she made the whole experience extra special.
Thank you to all the staff...we will be back!
Quality of food and service seemed to have lost quality since last visit. It was a slow night, which may have contributed.
A creative and thoughtful menu with welcome healthy options. Broccoli side and faro/kale side were DELICIOUS. Steak was perfect. Blackened salmon salad was OK, except that the greens seemed to have been dumped from a Dole bag. Unfortunate. Service is friendly and homey. Great desserts. A solid 4 stars. Oh yes, essential: free valet parking.
The wait staff. as usual, were very helpful and attentive. However, I was quite surprised that I was charged $12.00 for a Bloody Mary, when I indicated "bar vodtka." The small Bloody Mary at Legends two weeks ago cost $6.00.
