Pizzas were divine! The mushroom pasta dish wasn’t too exciting but enjoyable.
I made reservations for a high-top table in the bar area and planned for a quick bite to eat before the Yard Goats game. When we arrived, we were told there was a reservation mistake and there were no high-top tables available in the bar (there was a large group that reserved along the windows). The hostess was very apologetic, brought us to another table and allowed us to order the Happy Hour specials (which are only available from the bar area). Our waitress was fantastic (thank you Giuliana) -- she was attentive & personable. The food was served hot and fast. The pizza (we ordered 1 red with meatballs + 1 white with mushrooms) was the table favorite. A close second was the crispy brussel sprouts. We also ordered the bartenders choice drink -- a watermelon Sangria. The drink was a little weak and was only served with a small orange wedge... the only thing that was not perfect. But the draft beer (we ordered Two Roads + Sam Summer) was cold and well carbonated. Overall, a very positive experience and I will definitely return.
Always great food at Sorella. It’s my Hartford downtown go-to restaurant.
Food good. Service could be better. Sat at the bar...it was quiet. Bartender was helpful with suggestions but talked like a truck driver when customers are in hearing distance
Outstanding service and delicious food.
We had a gluten free pizza, which is homemade and it was delicious. Our table also had some regular pasta dishes that were very good. Pasta was perfect, meatballs and sauce were delicious.
My husband and I shared the chicken parm. It was delicious. Friends had the crab bucatini which they thought was wonderful. Three of us shared the mini cannolis. Just enough dessert after a wonderful meal.
This is not an Italian restaurant, it is a decent Pizzeria with some good pasta dishes and a bar. Menu on a website is much richer than In reality, and I wouldn’t recommend this pizzeria to my friends looking for an Italian restaurant.
I always have a great meal at Sorella. Their servers are all nice and professional. I can rely on a great meal there and that’s what I love about it.
We had a great experience at Sorella before attending Cirque. Michael, our server, was fabulous and made great wine and food recommendations, was great with our kids and all around enjoyable. Will be back!
Our waitresses couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating.
Awesome food and service. Very poor acoustics. Decor could be upgraded.
Great meal. Food was really good. I loved the eggplant Parm. Very different from other places.
Sorella is s great pre or post theater destination for Hartford Stage. They are welcoming and pleasant. Their pasta dishes are tasty comfort food. Also, house wine and pizza can't be beat!
The whole experience was as close to perfect as you can get. The food was divine. I have found my new spot. They will see me there often.
First visit to Sorella's. Enjoyed the food, atmosphere & experience. We will come back.
Quick service and delicious chicke parm. Very friendly staff as well.
It was a busy night with an event going on at the XL Center but, service and food were great!
Food was delicious! My linguine musgrooms was perfect and the spring salad was amazing as well. The canollis were a great way to end a great meal.
Went after my son’s graduation it was 8 of us and we got there earlier than the reservations, it was no problem, the table was all set and we were able to go right in . The greeter and I believe the manager on duty were very friendly
The waiter could have been a little more engaging, he never once asked if we had been there before, he didn’t go over anything about the establishment like the location of bathrooms etc. He wasn’t very friendly but he wasn’t rude just dry in his delivery and interactions
The food was hot and really good, good atmosphere and the drinks were tasty
We went there after our son graduated college - our waitress was wonderful, the food was good, and I have no complaints at all.
Meal was good, service was good, will come again
Was a great choice for Mother’s Day. Amazing food every dish everyone one ordered all loved it. We had nice seating and an amazing view looking into Downtown Hartford.
Very disappointing. Not sure what happened but always liked Sorella. The artichoke appetizer was awful. I ordered eggplant parmigiana which was so tiny and I needed a knife to cut it. I could go to other places and need a doggie bag for the same price as Sorella’s. My husband did like his meatball appetizer and bolognese but we agreed overall food has gone downhill. Sorry!
The food was delicious, my daughter had chese and pepperoni pizza, I had patata pizza (fingerling potatoes, bacon and sour cream). Very friendly staff, quick service and great atmosphere! We will come back for sure!
Disappointed with salmon add on for salad. Very small piece for price
The drinks were fabulous, followed by the delicious bread and butter...and our meals were chicken marsala and chicken parmesan. The service was excellent and the staff take care of their customers... dessert was a perfect ending to our dinner before the show at Hartford Stage. Definitely a must try!
Sorella's is our go-to place before the theater. I shared the Quattro salad and the individual pizza. Scrumptious! Although it's not on the menu, they serve arancini balls (rice, cheese) w/ a rich tomato sauce. Worth ordering. They also serve warm, crusty bread w/ an amazing garlic aioli. I wish I could figure out what else is in it. I could eat that for dinner. I have also had a full meal there a few times. The pasta is yum. Large portions can be shared. This place is a gem!!
We were told by a waiter at Dish, which we like and frequent often, that their sister restaurant Sorella was excellent, so we tried it. We were very underwhelmed and won’t return. While the calamari appetizer was very good, our entrees were greasy and bland, respectively. My shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta had small, tasteless shrimp. My husband’s orrechetti with sausage and rabe was swimming in oil. The ambiance was dull and the ventilation system ran hot and cold. All in all, a disappointing night out.
We had a lovely dinner with our son prior to a really fun show at the Hartford Stage. He enjoyed Chicken Parm and we shared a yummy pizza and salad.
The server we had she was fantastic. Wish I remembered her name. The food and drinks were on point.
Delicious food, a little hard to hear over the noise, the service was excellent
We were a party of four. I shared the autumn salad and black linguine with my friend. Even at half portion she and I had leftovers. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and my friend’s husband had a pizza. Everyone enjoyed their selection. The jalapeño margarita was very tasty as well!! Good friends, good food, great time!!
It was my first time there and everything was AMAZING, would definitely rec
Food was as good as our recent meals in Florence and Rome.
The food was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant is bright and cheery. My only complaint would be that its overpriced for lunch. It would be nice to have more luncheon specials (there was one however).
We enjoyed our dining experience. We were not rushed. Our waitress was great and the staff very accommodating and attentive.
Great apps. Delicious pasta. Must go.
