The meal was actually five stars but I was disappointed in the mussels special which was really quite tasteless. I usually eagerly use bread to enjoy a savory mussel/garlic/butter sauce but this one lacked any flavor. On the other hand, the grilled Caesar salad, duck, and scallops were outstanding in creative flavors and presentation. The menu and cocktails were varied and interesting. The server was eager to please and informative of the popular dishes.

The table was great, near the front of the restaurant, near the large window. The server was great. Lots of itmes to chose from on the menu and great specials. Our food was excellent!

Very interesting innovative menu avoiding strange combinations. All the offerings sounded delicious. We got the trout, the salmon, the lamb chops, and the Mac and cheese. All the portions were substantial, particularly the m&c, and all were delicious. The Caesar salad to start was big enough for 4 to share and was grilled with a great dressing. Wine list was broad with many reasonable choices. Our server was well informed and attentive. A very lovely meal overall in a great setting.

1st time and we loved the cuisine! Great presentation, fantastic flavors and wonderful service. My husband and I typically enjoy a quieter place to eat so we could hear ourselves speak...does get loud. The lighting is very intimate and makes it hard to read the menu. We had the "Spanish" as our appetizers...which was phenomenal, octopus was grilled to perfection, the "beets me" salad had just the right amount of blue cheese (the mascarpone whipped with the blue cheese making a sorta of mousse dressing) was fantastic, the moo was one of the best flat iron steaks I have had. Typically a flat iron steak can be chewy but it was grilled to our liking, with a delightful glaze and finally the dessert was a similar rendition of a cream brulee only better! We will be back!

Food was absolutely wonderful. Try the grilled Caesar salad; it’s smoky and delicious. The waiter seemed to be having a bad day. There were no smiles or signs of an amiable personality, but he got the job done.

This is a restaurant we have been to many times, but after this meal we do not plan to return. Waiter was ok, food was too salty and had too much sauce on it. Price did not justify the quality of the meal.

Just delicious. We were greeted by such a wonderful host and seated upstairs where it was nice and quiet. The food was incredibly yummy. We had a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed. Yummmm

The food was good for Lake Geneva but the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. The noise level is unbearable and the restaurant is super dark. Not cute, romantic dark - it simply lacks lighting. The kitchen must have been short staffed because we received our appetizer and bread 50 minutes after being seated, waiting the same amount of time for our entree. We do not plan to return.

Food was way overpriced for what we ordered. Was asked what kind of water we would like to drink without being told that there was a $6.99 charge for a bottle nor mentioned that it would be served in such a way. Bread was ridiculous. Almost 2.00 for four teeny tiny pieces of bread with a tablespoon of butter. I know I sound cheap but I hate being ripped off. Food was ok. Not great. Hostess was rude.

One of our favorite places to eat!! Food was wonderful!! Fresh and cooked perfectly!! Husband had the pork entree, which he said he’d definitely order again. I had the grouper, melted in my mouth and the red pepper sauce was to die for!! Had a little kick but wasn’t overly spicy. We had the crab cake appetizer as well, which we both enjoyed! Loved the fresh summer salad on top. Highly recommend Sopra!!!

My husband and I dined at Sopra while on vacation in Lake Geneva due to good reviews. I made a reservation on OpenTable, arrived slightly early, and we were still seated promptly. I had a Tennessee Mule, steak, veggies, bread, and butter, while my husband had the Big Boy Mac & Cheese, which were all very good. Service was also good. My only complaint is the ambiance and noise. While I do enjoy dim lighting with candles, it needs to be just a bit brighter to read the menu. It is also VERY loud in the restaurant, and on top of the loudness of the whole restaurant, we had a very loud patron talking behind us. We could hardly talk to each other without yelling. Overall, I would recommend the food and drinks, but would not recommend if you want to have a nice dinner and be able to talk to people at your table.

Overall good. Quick tip: Train the hostess better. The restaurant had only two tables occupied. Another couple comes in and despite 20 other tables, she seats them right next to the only other couple - to the point where they asked to be seated somewhere else. Also, hostess should not read a book in between seating people. Find her something to do.

Food is always great. Their prices are getting high $23 for a mussels appetizer seems a bit much. It is loud we went in the back. Love this place over all great wine list. Upstairs is nice as well. Wish they could get the outside going!

Our second time back and it's already a must dine anytime we come up to lake Geneva. Everything we've had has been excellent. Highly recommend Korean marinated rib eye, pastas, mussels, clams, yum 😋

Thursday evening restaurant was packed. Noise level was so bad we couldn’t hear each other speak. Bar room atmosphere which was very annoying. Food and wait staff ok. Not returning.

Returning visitors. Love Sopra. Excellent food and wine selections. Waiter was very good, attentive, knowledgeable making good suggestions. I had grouper and my wife had the scallops. We’ll be back again.

I love looking out the front windows on Main Street. Reminds me of dinners in Brooklyn with my daughters. Quaint. Our Lake Geneva City. And friends, warm people, also show up making the experience so nice.

Hostesses were not friendly nor accommodating when it came to my request for seating - even tho the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at 530pm. Food was just ok. Appetizers were interesting. But my entree - trout - was under cooked and I did not finish it. Prices were very high - not worth the price. Will probably not return.

This is my first time in Lake Geneva and was looking for a fun and tasty place for dinner. I found it at Sopra Bistro. This was one place on OpenTable that allows a single person to make a reservation and sit at the bar. A great thing. Eric at the bar was a pleasure to converse with as was the rest of the patrons. Great atmosphere. The drinks and wine was great and the Wild Boar Bolognese was also very good. Actually came back with my associates the next night - highly recommend.

Simply outstanding. The atmosphere, the service, the food - just exceptional. Joni was our server and she is a true asset to this establishment. Knowledgeable, attentive - she gave great recommendations and took the time to go over the menu items and wine offerings in great detail. The food was so delicious - truly one of the best meals I have had. Kudos to the chef and his staff - can't wait to come back to Lake Geneva and dine here again.
