Father’s Day Dinner
Always a wonderful meal, great service and very generous portions.
Fabulous as always! Best Italian food in Naples.
Great selection of veal chops. Totally enjoyed our meals.
Food here is good. Classic big Italian. It all depends on what night. Weekends are loud & crowded. Off nights like Sunday the best. So many choices on menu. Can handle a big crowd. Satisfying if you are looking for a good Italian dinner.
We have never been disappointed with the food or service at Sophia's. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. We will be back.
One of our favorite restaurants in Naples. Great food, great service!
Awesome veal dishes, Superior Service, and always consistent. The best Italian Restaurant in Naples.
The Owner is always visible to ensure your dining experience is a good one.
Sophia's is an amazing restaurant. We bring our family and friends here anytime they are in town. And we ourselves dine here weekly.
I had the Zupe D Pesce and it was loaded with an abundance of fresh and tasty seafood. The in-house homemade pasta that came with our meals was amazing and the portions, huge !!!!
The rest of our group had several of the veal dishes that are on the menu and they were all fork tender !!! We've never had such amazing authentic Italian food since we were in Italy.
For desserts we shared the homemade ricotta cheese cake and the tiramisu. Amazingly made fresh and melt in your mouth good.
The service was awesome as it always is. The waiters and waitresses all work great together as a team and it shows. Don't expect to be rushed out the door when you eat here. The owner Jay and his team make dining in their restaurant an "experience" as it should be !!!
Sophia's now even offers a complimentary limousine service for 6 or more people. If you want quality, Sophia's is priceless. This is a must do !!!
This place is a “not to miss” restaurant if you’re in Naples! This was probably my 12th visit and Sophia’s delivers in all areas.
First things first, the bread is to die for! Crusty and firm on the outside with a chewy, yeasty deliciousness on the inside. It is amazing, especially paired with their olive oil and herbs.
I’ve only ever had the Caesar as my salad. A little stronger than average on the garlic, this salad
Is a great start to the evening. I don’t care for anchovy, but they will add them to the top of you so desire.
I’ve only ever had two entrees in my visits here. Both are winners. The Linguine Vongole is one of the best I’ve ever had! Al dente pasta with tender clams, white wine, garlic and a touch of crushed red pepper give this dish such depth, it is not to miss if you love clams. I always ask for extra garlic.
The second dish is the Pollo Picatta. Tender chicken ponder thin. Sautéed with lemon, butter, white wine, garlic and capers and served with a side of pasta. The lemon brightens this dish and the capers add just a zest of salty tartness! It is phenomenal!!!
My step father gets the same thing every time...veal Milanese. I’ve had a bite and I agree with him that it is a top notch veal dish. Veal pounded thin (it takes up the whole plate), sautéed and topped with tomatoes, arugula and the most delectable balsamic glaze. Seriously?! You can’t go wrong.
We’ve never had an issue with quality here. Everything is top notch. Truly. If you want a great meal with great service, go to Sophia’s!!!
We have visited Sophia's in the past and have never been disappointed in any aspect regarding appetizers to dessert. Our only lament is we can't get there every week. The service has always been top shelf and Jay's ( the owner) attention to the customer is politely diligent. We have had Vasko for a waiter several times and he is always respectful, polite and fastidiuos about service, food ,drinks and his sense of humor always welcome. We have taken friends and relatives to Sophia's, for their first time and they were in awe of the large menu and quality of the food. One of if not the finest eatery in all of Naples and highly recommended.
Fine from the first step in the door. Great service very attentive.
Will be back!
Very excellent Italian original plates. Large portions. Staff is extremely attentive without being in your face. The owner makes the obligatory rounds to all the tables, but his interest seems very genuine. Sophia's was highly recommended by my friends in New Jersey, glad I finally got a chance to go. Made it a special Mothers Day for my Mom.
We were very disappointed! The service was terrible and the food was way over priced for what we received. I would never recommend this restaurant and should of listened to the negative comments on Facebook.
Have been to Sophia's a few times and always had an excellent experience. Went for Mother's Day Dinner and was disappointed. Service was extremely slow, an hour and forty-five minutes for an entree and side salad. No substitutions were allowed. The lobster and cheese ravioli special came with a tomato cream sauce. I asked to substitute garlic oil for the sauce and was told no, even though all of the items on the menu that came with a side of pasta had that option. Asked to have soup instead of the side salad, offering to pay an up charge, and again was told it could not be done. Would think a restaurant of that caliber would be more accommodating to its guests.
We went there for a birthday celebration and it was also Mother’s Day. We got there early, so we had drinks at the bar. The cosmo was really good. We were seated promptly and ordered calamari. It was delicious. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. The seafood was great, so fresh and the pasta was homemade and delicious. We really enjoyed our meal The owner Jay came over and made sure everything was good. He is so friendly, and he knows his customers. We had such a wonderful night . I live in NY and I have to say this is one of the best places I have ever eaten in. We came here because it was so close to our hotel , and I’m so glad we did. We will definitely be going back.
Sophia’s has the best veal and pasta in Naples. Every dish is made to order, with a variety of homemade pastas. The veal dishes are amazing!
Food was very good. Disapointed that we were not offered to hear nights specials. Food was coming out slow. No kids menu available. $200 bill for 2 adults and 2 kids that are under 10. Server was pleasant and personal.
Came back had to try again this time it's delicious mommy had the veal and I had the pasta made reservations for Mother's Day huge portions food is delicious and friendly helpful staff. Still after this time I don’t think we will come back the prices are very high for where the restaurant was I can understand if this was on 5th Avenue but it’s next to a hooters and Perkins. But been there done that it’s off to find a new place in Naples
Jay welcomed us and made a nice comment from our 631 area phone code. After being seated our waitress Sasi made us believe she is the Worlds best. After only one visit we are making Sophia’s our favorite Italiano Restaurant.
As always a superb dining experience and the service by
Vasko was also superb - a pleasure to dine here.
The quality and portion sizes of the entrees are just amazing, We have been there twice and both times had to bring half of our meals home and they tasted just as good the next day. Vasko was our server and he is polite and professional and did an outstanding job with our service. Jay who is the owner will greet you and be sure that all of your needs are met. This is a fabulous Italian restaurant and the only one that that reminds us of being back in the NJ/NY area. A must if you are looking for Italian food.
Very expensive! Veal chops were $47. For that price, I expected the chop to be much larger as I have seen at other restaurants.
Sophia's is a great restaurant in North Naples. It has a friendly northeast Italian restaurant feel for a place in Florida. Food is great. The owner Jay knows how to make his patrons feel appreciated.
Went with another couple, their first time to this experience, service, food, quality, ambience spot On!!
Very relax, enjoyable evening again. Keep up the good work.
The service was good and efficient. I had chicken parm. -a good cutlet but little taste. The side of linguini was overcooked and mushie
Very friendly greeting & waiter. Meals well prepared. Wine suggestion excellent value.
One for the bucket list!
Best Italian food ever!! Went for our anniversary and Jay the owner came out to talk to us and wish us a good evening. Food was the best I’ve ever had in Naples. Long time customer and look forward to our return.
We both had the Lobster Parmigiana and it was cooked perfect. The service was very good and attentive. The manager was on top of everything. Will be back.
A most unpleasant experience...the first time that I have ever written a negative review. The waiter was completely inattentive, the veal dish was chewy and covered in a brown sauce that was overwhelming. The meal took 55 minutes to arrive at my table...without the waiter ever making one comment. The water did hold the door when I was leaving...the first thing he got right. He asked if I wanted a second glass of wine as we we're ready to leave.
I cannot say enough positives! My husband told the waiter we had been there recently for a lamb chop special. Even though it wasn’t the special that evening the chef graciously offered to make them for him. What wonderful service! The food here is amazing. I highly recommend it!
Our service was excellent at the restaurant. We had made prior reservations which is a good idea. The menu is extensive. We had the trio, a veal chop, a fish dish and veal piccata. All were exceptional. The Caesar salad was very good. Homemade dressing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This is a very standard "neighborhood" Italian restaurant. There was nothing bad about the dinner, but nothing special, either. They were accommodating, but it was not difficult a the place was less than 1/2 full. I can't say anyone should avoid the place, but if you are looking for something more than ordinary, you may be disappointed.
Every time we visit Naples we come to Sophia's. We are italian and this is authentic Italian food. The owner is from NJ and he knows how to run his restaurant. The menu is busting with the regulars fare; chicken parm, chicken francese but Sophia's is known for their veal dishes; cutlets or their amazing chops.
Tons of great appetizers, great entree's, delicious and enormous dishes of pasta!
Fantastic food and great service! A gem of a restaurant.
I would highly recommend this as a genuine Italian restaurant.
Jay the owner is always personable and the staff accommodating. The food is exceptional and authentic.
I love Sophia’s. To me it’s a cut above all of the Italian eateries on 3rd. and 5th. It’s easier to get to, parking is effortless and the food and beverage...outstanding. I’ve enjoyed taking new and old friends there for dinner. The best is to watch in amazement ...the looks on their faces when a dish like Veal Milanese or Zuppa di Pesce is brought out for the first time. All of the food is outstanding. I especially enjoyed the lasagne, ravioli and egg plant parm. All pasta sides are homemade and ample. Don’t let the prices intimidate. The quantity and quality is a staple. You will have at least tomorrow ‘s lunch to take home with you.
Then there’s Jay, the affable owner and purveyor of warm greetings and friendship. You instantly feel right at home.
Although the servers are all excellent, my heart goes out to Vasco. He is always concerned with your comfort and satisfaction. Sophia’s always delivers. Go there!
Our repetitive praise is almost boring. We're "Seasonal Residents" who live nearby, and dine at Sophia's frequently. The food and service are excellent.
The service was very poor. The food was below average and too expensive. By the time we got home, we had indigestion.
Good food and usually enough for a second meal.
