When arriving was told that my reservation only puts me at the top of their wait list. Got seated and was told they had no menus because a large party had come in before us. Took 15 minutes to get water. Took another 15 to get our bar drinks. One of the drinks was wrong. Took another 15 to get our appetizer. Manager stopped by to tell us how her staff had called out and apologized for the bad service. The food came out fairly quickly, but wasn't exactly right. Again, excuses. Then someone in our party ordered a beer only to be told they were having refrigeration issues. The checks came out and they weren't right. At the end of the day, no offer was made to comp any of our meals. We have been there 5 or 6 times before and have spent $1000 at least over the course of those visits, but will likely not be back.
Walked out after sitting at our table for 15 minutes without a server stopping at our table. There was a server at the table next to us and he never stopped to ask if we needed anything, that he would find our server, nothing at all! This is not the first time the service has been horrible. We thought we would give it one more chance, but we will not be returning again.
I think this restaurant is under staffed. This is the second time I have been in the last 2 months and the service is just terrible.
We had the best experience, the waitstaff was excellent, the food was great and the salsa was just right. We were not rushed and had a blast. Sure appreciate the attention to detail and the kindnesses shown to us. The food, especially my Kale salad was excellent.
Our waiter was very personable and fun to talk to. Did a fantastic job and never wanted for anything. Management came by periodically and were very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there and will definitely return many more times.
We had a great time for my mother's birthday! She loved everything, and our server was fantastic!
A curry above your average Mexican restaurant. They are generous with the spices, not just heat. Good bar. The enchiladas assure very , as are the Mexican Street Tacos. The desert is sopapillas. Light and sweet!
We set a reservation two days in advance. We arrived 5 minutes early, as requested, & then waited 45 minutes for our reserved table while other walk in customers were seated as they arrived with no reservations. Our drinks were the only positive thing about our experience & the queso dip is a must, but you must eat while hot!
Unfortunately we left. We were seated in the far corner and it was dark not romantic dark, dark enough to not see the menu or each other. We eventually were greeted and given water, chips and salsa. We wanted the table side guacamole and were told they were out. They had the dip sampler that had guacamole in it ,but no table side, odd but we thought they may make batches and had that but not the items to assemble on the spot. We wanted to order drinks and more chips (and food), but the server never returned. Other people were seated and were much further along in their meal than we ever got. We tried to find our server to no avail, may have been the dark. After 30 minutes we left. Very very disappointed.
Our server had to be asked several times for water, and 4 times for corn and brought flour 2 times. The food was land and dry. more from a nice looking place
Delicious food as always!
Food was good but they were out of a number of things such as salad dressings...there was only one to choose from and they were out of the fish of the day...there was none. The food was good and service was good but I wasn't impressed. I only eat fish and my daughter is vegan and there were limited options.
Food was fabulous and server was great! I wish there was one in Mt. Juliet.
We were underwhelmed with our experience at this Sopapilla's. We had been to the one in Franklin last year and LOVED it and were so looking forward to a nice date night at the Hendersonville location. We were 5 minutes early for our reservation time and the restaurant was not busy, but were asked to be seated in the lobby while the hostess went to "prepare tables". There were two other couples waiting in the lobby for a table at the time we arrived. At 10 minutes past our reservation time, a woman walked in and another hostess asked her if she had a reservation. She said no, but was immediately taken to an available table and was seated. My husband and I sort of laughed because of how ridiculous it seemed. We continued to wait for another 10 minutes while the other couples who were waiting were seated, and then we were finally taken to a table. Our waitress came over after a good 5 minutes to take our drink orders. She brought out our drinks, asked if we were ready to order, and we requested a few more minutes to look over the menu. She didn't return to take our order or check on us for another 20 minutes. By this time, we were starving and more than ready to place our order. Our waitress was polite but not overly friendly or attentive. We finally received our food and it was OK; definitely not as good as we had remembered the Franklin location being. Other than that, the ambiance was very nice, but we will definitely go to the Franklin location next time around.
We tried Sopapilla's Hendersonville for the second time and were again disappointed. First, we made our reservation through Open Table and were not seated until 35 minutes AFTER our reservation - we were just about to leave when she finally called our name. Our drinks were served relatively quickly, but the food was very slow to come out. The food was disappointing - I had the Blue Corn Chicken enchiladas and something just tasted OFF with chicken - it couldn't even take more than two bites. The rice that comes with it was very bland - as if it had no seasoning. I'm not a fan of overly salty, but this was no flavor at all. My husband had the street tacos and he said they didn't have much flavor either. And it was on the expensive side. We liked the location in Franklin, but we won't ever go back to the Hendersonville location, which is disappointing because it is so convenient to the movie theater.
Our server Will was great. I appreciated meeting the owner Steve. Food was good. Only issue was not being greeted when we walked in. Nobody was at the host stand for at least 5 min.
Had a very good time, good food and excellent service!
Food was excellent.
The food, service, and atmosphere are always on point.
Romantic and tasty. Wonderful VDay venue. I could do without the TVs in the dinin area.
Good, but not great. Underwhelmed by the food and service relative to price.
Shrimp Fajitas and Chicken Quesadilla are AMAZING!
We walked in with the reservation and were seated immediately...loved it! The staff were all very friendly. The food was good but pricey. The cocktails were pricey. The Mojito was way too sweet, not a good Mojito. The chips were fantastic as was the guacamole and mahi tacos. Good for a special occasion but not some place we are dying to go back to.
Being that it was Friday, a couple days before Valentines Day, our wait after reserving only was about 10 minutes. The lighting was very soft and tables were brightly lit. The Shrimp Tacos and Tamales had a nice heat balanced with a pickled salad base which had a very nice flavor to it. Overall great experience and will again be going.
We had a large party of 9 with a reservation on open table. When we arrived we were told we could wait or squeeze into a 6 top. So we did. It took 45 mins to get a drink, an hour for our food and not once did a manager come by and say sorry. Four of us had salads. Salads shouldnt take an hour to make. When we got our food the girls who had tacos had burnt meat. We had to refill our own waters and we werent offered sopapillas for dessert. This is unacceptable for such a great restaurant. Next time we will pick another place for girls night.
Yummy food, not super busy. Our server was patient with us as we took forever ordering due to not seeing each other for quite some time. Great meal recommendations, also.
Enjoying eating here! Good food! Service was good! Didn't have to wait at all on a Saturday night for a table. April was our server and she was great!
Top notch Mexican/southwestern!
Great food and great atmosphere.
The service wasn't the greatest; the restaurant was slow so the staff was more focused on personal conversations than helping us. Even with reservations we still had to wait for a table.
The food was good but extremely spicy, the memo should be a bit more specific on this as neither one of us could tolerate spicy food and it went to waste.
We order an appetizer that came after our meal and the presentation of the food was not appealing at all.
I took my wife out to celebrate her birthday and we couldn't be happier with our experience.
If you are looking for a unique take on Southwest cuisine, this is the place for you. While many people describe it as a Mexican restaurant it is not, but rather the owner's take on dishes of New Mexico.
Nice variety of appetizers and entrees and a full bar. The inside can be pretty noisy, so if the weather is good, ask for a table outside.
I can recommend the dip sampler (quest, bean, and qua amore) for appetizer and the Sopapilla Platter as an entree.
Met clients for a business lunch. The restaurant was very nice with excellent food and wonderful service! The music was a little loud where we were sitting, but it was not obnoxious and did not create an issue with our conversations. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely dine there again!
We are frequent visitors of the other Sopapilla's location. We were meeting friends from Kentucky so we met in the middle at this location. I will say I have high standards because the other location is one of my favorite restaurants in the Nashville area. Both the indoor and outdoor space at this location are awesome and I was definitley a fan. They still have a great menu and some good options but the service was slow and the quality of the food was not quite the same. The drinks were great and we liked our food but the service was slow and the ingredients didn't taste as fresh on this particular evening.
Stopped by after shopping one weekend, lovely restaurant but little things will probably keep me from returning when there are so many other places. The restaurant was out of milk which is a big deal when you have a one year old. We ate early but yet the 4-5 families eating were all crammed into two small sections. I felt like I was sitting with the family next to me and could definitely hear their entire conversation. Food was good as well as service.
Great restaurant and oh so beautiful!!
Loved the Tuna App!
We reserved a table here for a Friday night date and have been back several times since. The food is outstanding. Of course, the quality is 100 times better than a regular Mexican restaurant. The service is always prompt and polite. The atmosphere is very intimate, with high backed booths and a relatively quiet environment most days. Their margaritas are absolutely out of this world. I highly recommend the enchiladas del mar. The combination of baja sauce, crab and corn relish is not to be missed.
Server was awesome and food was fantastic. Big portions to
Great food, great service and a fun sophisticated atmosphere! We loved it!
