Charity was our server and she was excellent. Happy and attentive to you her customers. We had not been in over a year and we were so happy with the turn around in overall experience , both food and service. The chef and servers have it going on!
We was very satisfied with the brunch setting. Great selection of foods, very tasty.
it was too loud to talk and have a normal conversation
Just awesome! Wonderful food and a unique spin on the classics. ❤️
The food was freshly made and delicious. Loved the different flavors in the chicken and brisket tacos. The chips and salsa were great. The Sopapillas needed to be cooked longer, a little too doughy. The fresh honey was very good!
We went for a family birthday. We were seated right away and the service was good. Everything tasted fabulous! The cucumber margarita was a hit. I had the skillet nachos...will def order again. Shrimp and grits were delicious. I can’t remember what everyone else had but we all left full and happy!!
Disappointing. There are much better options for Mexican food in the area. I won’t be back
We really liked this restaurant but it's not the same as it used to be. We went last night for my daughter's 15th birthday and no one greeted us for almost 20 minutes until I asked if we had a server for our table. They said the bartender would be there but it ended up being someone else. 2 baskets of chips came out. One undercooked and soggy and the other stale. They had 2 of our orders wrong. The guac was good. Our server nice but just not accurate nor did he bother to ask me if I wanted my barely eaten salad boxed- he just grabbed it and put another plate on it. Even though I had put birthday on open table they didn't sing or acknowledge it at all. Just a poor experience.
We made a reservation through open table with no problems and had a great dinner. We will go back sometime in the future for sure. Thanks!
Great food, great service. We went for Sunday brunch. If you like mimosas or bloody Mary’s you can’t be the price. Will be going again.
Cute restaurant. Atmosphere was nice. We ate outside in the large outdoor seating area. It’s not noisy outside but is a little on the dark side. Salsa was very good and spicy. It wasn’t the bland, out of a can salsa you find elsewhere. The smoked pork was delicious. The quesadillas were very good. Black beans were good and had some flavor to them. Other places don’t usually add enough seasoning to them. If you are from New Mexico or are very familiar with New Mexico green chile sauce, the green chile sauce here tastes a little different. It’s pretty good, but it doesn’t have the kick to it like it does in NM or quite the same flavor. It’s almost a combination of Arizona/California with New Mexico. The restaurant does offer blue corn tortillas which are hard to find as well as stuffed sopapillas and green chile stew. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing and one of those would have been better. Green chile sauce (not just green chiles) was supposed to come on top of our enchiladas but didn’t and then it was a struggle to get it. Food took a long time too. The waiter started out on top of things but he was harder and harder to find as the night went on. He was pleasant but not overly friendly. It’s definitely worth trying, and we’ll give it another shot next time we’re nearby. New Mexican food is hard, if not impossible, to find this far east so we were happy to see someone adding it to the restaurant mix of the area.
Sopapilla’s is not your typical Tex Mex restaurant. The dishes are hand made with 1st. quality ingredients. You will pay a little more but the quality and great service will make your dining experience one to remember.
We went for Sunday brunch and a birthday celebration. The service was good and the food was awesome! ! There was some screaming kids, but overall ambiance was nice. We will definitely be back for brunch again.
Eat here often; usually for dinner. Saw the brunch on open table and checked the menu. Menu had a number of items my wife and I found appealing so I booked the reservation for this morning.
Got to the restaurant and learned that the only available option was a $21.95 buffet. No juice or coffee include.
I must say that this seemed very excessive so my wife and I left. Actually bordered on gouging I feel.
Your staff was kind and understanding and my wife and I will be back for dinner, but feel your menu on open table was very misleading and the pricing for the brunch buffet was excessive. A bit disappointed.
Just wanted to alert you to our opinions for whatever use you may deem appreciate. We generally enjoy our experience.
$10 Bottomless mimosas make it worth it. Brunch buffet food variety is good. I would prefer more Mexican-inspired dishes and less Southern cooking, the way Sopapillas used to be. But there's the usual omlette and pancake griddle, as well as an assortment of traditional breakfast foods, chips and queso and a dessert table with chocolate fountain.
We met friends for dinner. Everyone had a good meal. The margaritas were tasty. The carnitas plate and Chicken Quesadillas were excellent.
We sat out on the patio and the food was delicious and our server was so sweet and attentive. We haven’t been to this restaurant for a few years and it seemed that the food and service was improved . We will be back soon!
Margarita Monday - $5 Margaritas, great for birthday celebration, really enjoyed.
We had a wonderful server! Food was great too! Loved the BBQ quesadillas!
My wife and I took the family to celebrate our 12 year anniversary. The staff is very friendly and the food was outstanding. My kids were amazed by the size of the kids burrito and they thought they were delicious. Highly recommend and we will decently be going back.
Excellency brunch and service!
Buffet is better than ever!
Arrived 20 minutes early but they were able to seat us quickly. Food was spicy but good and flavorful.
Enjoyed the food and outdoor dining. Very good value. Will visit again for sure
Fajitas are always fresh and delicious.
Brunch with a friend celebrating a new job
Went to Sopapilla’s to celebrate my birthday with my family. The food was great and service was pretty good. It was very busy so I think the waiters did the best they could. We enjoyed it!
Had made dinner reservations and when we arrived, they put us at the first table by the front door and hostess stand! We eventually moved but that was not a good start . Food was OK !
Need a change to Street Corn...ears of corn were very immature with very small if any kernels...server noticed issue and brought a second ear without any input from me... certainly not worth $5
Authentic New Mexican Cuisine just like we were used to living in New Mexico.
Josh, our server, was terrific! Very personable and friendly, came to check on us the "right" number of times, neither too often or too infrequently and had solid recommendations about menu options.
The food was terrific and Josh was kind enough to bring me my personal bowl of wuss flavored salsa. Drove 14 hours to get to TN and would go back on another trip!
Accommodated table for 9 without a blink!
Split the check and kept the margaritas fresh for us :)
Poor experience...No Hot Tea and No Bottled Water..Really, that's brunch beverages 101. Also, we were initially told that we HAD to take the buffet or we could not order until 12:30 (our reservation was at 11:45). When I refused to eat the buffet, the waiter came back and said I could order off the menus. Though the food was good when I finally got it, I had been the this restaurant multiple times prior (well over a year ago) and it was a much better experience. I actually picked the restaurant based on my prior experience. Never again. You should ALWAYS be able to order off the menu and you should ALWAYS have things like Tea and Bottled Water. Not everyone likes a buffet or sees the value if there are a lot of items on the buffet that the person does not eat.
One friend dining with us has celiac disease ... the server demonstrated a clear understanding of what it is and how the restaurant may accommodate for no gluten (nor gluten cross contamination) it in a number of recipes. We chose Sopapilla's because it was rated as celiac-friendly, and they proved this first hand. It was a solid experience.
Great Food, Drink, Service and Ambiance check it out
They opened at 10. Brunch buffet was from 10-2:30. Reservation was for 10. Brunch buffet was not ready for about 20 minutes after opening- instead of when brunch was scheduled to start. Food was cold. You had to stand in a separate line to ask for tortillas for fajitas after standing in a different line for food; you got your fajitas and then had to go stand in a line for pancakes and omelettes to ask for them. Guacamole was with eggs instead of tortilla chip area. We had to continuously wait for refills of drinks. There was no acknowledgment from management about wait for food. Even after it was “ready,” some food was still cold or barely warm. Server was almost non existent . Not worth it to me.
Excellent guacamole tableside! Food is always good. We enjoy eating outside when weather permits. Very relaxing outside.
Food and service are great my disappointment was I made a reservation for 6:45 checked in but didn’t get seated until 7:05. They were busy but the ladies at the desk didn’t seem on top of the process. It wasn’t until they asked if we were another party that I confirmed again my name and reservation for 6:45. Then we were seated.
We have been here two times and love the food but both times we have had to remind them we were there for our reservation and then were immediately seated and the service was rather slow. We will go back because the food is excellent but you need to be prepared to wait.
Excellent cuisine. Full-flavored options. Service a bit slow but wait staff very friendly. Reasonably priced. Upscale Mexican menu.
FANTASTIC service! Amazing food
