The place and service is amazing. The food is a little salty, specially the escargot and Brussel sprouts. Food wise nothing really special, its overpriced but the place is very beautiful.

Had an awesome experience here. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton and their restaurants aren’t even this good. Seriously. And they accommodated for our daughters long list of food allergies. Awesome meal and scenery.

Service beyond excellent, food excellent, great location .. buyer beware….please check the tax rate on the receipt before you pay. Maui Tax on restaurants is 4.17 (as of Nov 2023) and our receipt was charged 8% sales tax. After notifying management the error was fixed promptly, but how many people don’t look at or calculate their sales tax percentage rate on their receipt and assume the restaurant is charging correct sales tax.

Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful service. Our server kaycelyn was a pleasure and made our anniversary very special. Food was absolutely delicious, the ribeye was amazing. My partner had the short ribs which were very good too. Very memorable night!

The food and atmosphere is amazing, the service was ok, our waiter was nice and pleasant it just took forever to order. We didn’t place our order till we were hour after we were seated. Took forever for the food to come out and they didn’t even bring some of the order which they ended up canceling.

Food all tasted great. One steak was not prepared correctly and had to be sent back. I pre ordered chocolate cake as a birthday surprise and it was never delivered. Ambiance was lovely but mistakes made it not worth the price.

Made reservations for our anniversary and noted it during making the reservation however it was never acknowledged. Once we were seated which was immediately we were seated in front of a big wooden pillar with an obstructed view. My wife asked the host if we could be moved to another table which was available but was advised it was another servers table therefore she was unable to relocate us. The server was just okay…not very attentive given the occasion which I gathered he was given the memo. The food delivery was rather slow given it wasn’t busy. First round of drinks took forever to be brought out however the second round was prompt. Shrimp scampi was pretty good. The ribeye was very tasty but wasn’t prepared fully at the correct temperature.

The only thing worth it was the Poke bowl appetizer the steak was so so the garlic mash potatoes tasted super dry and old wouldn’t be surprised if they where instant potatoes. And the brussels sprouts were under seasoned and cold. there are definitely way more better restaurants close by for the money.

The food was amazing and seasoned to perfection. The service was also really great. The only down fall was that the weather is pretty windy and they have big doors open so you can see the pretty view. We did find a few little ants crawling on our table and some leaves flew in on our table. Overall it was really great and the food was worth it all!

Usually this place is pretty great and we were so excited to come back. Our steaks were both the wrong (opposite, like he put the temps in wrong) temperature, the waiter (man-bun)was inattentive, and pretty much nobody cared that the experience was sub-par (we let him know when he came by at 75% done and had switched our steaks bc the one was way too dry). Always check back with your customer at 3 bites - especially when it’s steak, and if you can’t, get a manager to. Was there a manager? Disappointing. This won’t be on my top 5 next trip. 3 stars and that’s generous.

Everything at Sonz was delicious and the service was excellent! My wife and I had the filet mignon and NY strip steak with the Bearnaise sauce and chimichurri, roasted garlic potatoes, and ended the night with the crème brûlée and chocolate lava cake. I strongly recommend the bearnaise sauce - it was buttery and salty goodness that can go with anything!
