Amazing weekend brunch options!!! Affordable for the quality, ambiance, and overall experience. The service was exceptional, wait staff was kind and upbeat. Overall had a wonderful brunch experience
The food was excellent and our server was very helpful. The table next to us were a bit rowdy and drunk and one of their chairs kept falling over. Otherwise, it was fantastic.
Pretty good food, mostly (though calling tuna fish salad "tuna confit" is a bit of a stretch, really). Service was not so good, really slow on a mostly empty weekday lunch.
I reserved for Sunday brunch at 1 pm but they were not ready until 1:30 pm because the people who were at our tables did not get up(?). It looked like other people were having same problem. It was way too crowded with all those tables filled up.. It didn't take long for us to order because we knew what we wanted but we waited almost an hour for our food. Our waitress did not even notify us that it will take that long. Eventually we were able to eat at 2:30pm, starving. It was worst service I ever received. The food was okay, but I will not be revisiting if it's for brunch.
Great food and nice ambience. A perfect brunch!
We weren’t super impressed with the food or service, but it wasn’t awful.
Kaitlin was a very friendly & accommodating waitress! The food & atmosphere were great. It was a bit noisy.
Sonsie is a Boston classic. Good for when you want to get out to a spot with both a good ambience and vibe and good food. The menu has something for everyone at a reasonable price point for Newbury street.
Our food was delayed due to overcooking and the manager was incredibly nice to idea is a dessert or similar as apology. Was very considerate and apologetic which is rare. Thanks for the extra consideration!
There is a new chef and the food is not nearly as good as it was. The steak was charred black, the fish was cold, the dessert tasted like it had gone sour... they also removed the best item from the previous menu- Mee Krob. After being a loyal Sonsie fan for over 15 years, I won’t be going back.
