SolToro Tequila Grill Ratings and Reviews
We used to love going here when we visited Mohegan Sun for a fun atmosphere and good food. Our latest experience was less than impressive. First, let me say that our waitress was very attentive and professional. The food was just OK. My tacos were not very flavorful and were cold. The beans and rice that came with them where just OK as well. My husband got a burrito and he seemed to be happy with his meal except he thought his beef tasted like pork. The highlight of the meal was the guacamole, which was delicious. My other issue was the Margaritas. I have to say the one I got tasted very good, but if you took out all the ice that was in the small glass it came in, there really isn't much of a drink. I wouldn't mind so much if the drinks were $5.00, but when you are paying $10-12 per drink, I expect more than a couple of sips. Overall, a disappointing New Year's Eve dinner. If I ever go here again, I would sit at the bar and get the guacamole with a beer.
We came for dinner on New Year's Eve. The table side guac was delicious although the portion for 2 is a little meager. Our friends got the nachos with chicken which was another very good appetizer. All of us enjoyed our entrees except for the black beans. We expected actual black beans but it was more like refries. Other than that, I would definitely go back for dinner
We went there for an early New Years Eve dinner . We made the reservation on open table and we were seated at the exact time of our reservation with no wait. Our waitress was very good and made great recommendations for the specialty drinks and entree selection . We will definitely go there again
We decided to eat here before a concert due to the vegetarian options and we were not disappointed. It was fantastic. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated quickly, service was quick and friendly, and we loved everything we had. Portions were generous for the price and we left stuffed. Completely recommend the table side guacamole; it was great for our group of 4. Would definitely come back here for my next visit to Mohegan Sun.
We had a great time here. Our server was great and very professional. I had a question on the menu and he even offered me a sample.
Our dinner was very good. The value for what we got was so so. For being a restaurant at the casino we made out well. But overall it was pricey for the type of food we received. I don't know if we would go out of our way to return, but if we are at the Casino again for dinner this would be a top choice.
Went to SolToro for the first time for dinner before seeing a concert at the mohegan arena. The food was delicious and well priced, the margaritas are some of the best I've had, and the service was excellent!! Would definitely recommend for any age range that just wants really good food. Would also suggest making a reservation as I did if you are at the casino and do not want to wait too long, makes it much easier. Will go again next time!!
Our server, Sarah, was friendly and professional. She gave us time to visit a little before we were ready to order and all of our food was served hot and it was delicious. Sarah was very helpful when we asked to have our bill split and did so quickly so we could make the show we were seeing.
We will be back!
The food was terrible (except for a tasty appetizer). Red snapper was stale, shrimp overcooked, rice and beans flavorless, and the bread pudding hard. Do not even try to order wine, nothing worth having (the malbec we ordered was very sour). The kitchen took a long time to get orders out, even though the restaurant was less than 30% full.
Went on oct 28 and food was ok. Went on nov 4 and had the Barbacoa tacos and the meat was very dry and chewy. Seems food is just ok now. We gave been going to soltoro for a long time now. Was disappointed this time. Our waitress Heidi was very good. Have had her before she was very attentive.
Great food, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the tableside guacamole with bacon! Chips and salsa were also excellent. Margaritas delicious, good price (had original and raspberry). My grilled avocado salad with steak was perfect. My daughter got the chicken quesadilla, chicken was quite salty. Overall excellent, would definitely go back for margaritas, guac and try the street tacos. We had ample time for dinner before our concert. Good service. Thanks SolToro! We’ll be back!
Our waiter was Josh. He was very attentive and very personable. We usually visit the casino on weekday mornings, when it is less crowded. Unfortunately, SolToro does not open till 4, so about the only time we can eat there is when we are attending a special event. Wish it would open earlier for lunch.
