a great overall atmosphere with exceptional services. All meals (we tried) prepared by chefs using the high quality of irradiance. Dinning at this restaurant was very enjoyable in every sense. Everything was overpriced, but you have to pay for the convenience being right on the slopes - literally a few feet from the start of ski lifts.
After a number of visits to Solstice, they still do not disappoint. The food, drinks, and service are consistently excellent. Even during a busy evening, service is unruffled and unfailingly courteous.
The only restaurant at the resort - captive audience drives very high prices relative to quality of food. Fine for what it was, but we ate a higher quality and lower cost restaurant 10 mins drive away the next day.
Food and service were very good, although a little pricey... not a quiet intimate dining experience, however, in a large resort vibe.
Just did not WOW us. A beautiful resort needs a feature restaurant that serves memorable dishes. Unfortunately Solstice tries but does not execute.
the kids buffet over MLK weekend was horrible. Food sitting out for hours and no other options. Not a family friendly situation.
The food is very overpriced but you are at a resort. The service and staff were excellent but I would have had a better meal downtown.
Our meal was good, but we had the misfortune of being seated next to a large table of young children who were completely ignored and unsupervised by the table of parents sitting next to them. Apparently these parents felt the restaurant should provide feee babysitting! There was no kids buffet that night and these were very young children who wouldn’t be eating off the regular menu, so there wasn’t even any food on the large table / they were clearly not there to eat. These kids ran around all over the place, including behind our chairs, stepping on our coats, and presenting a tripping hazard to the poor waiters who had to try to navigate around their constantly moving bodies that were darting here and there. The parents paid no attention at all. This was not the restaurant’s fault, but it is one of the realities of dining here.
This restaurant is amazing! The flavors and creativity of each dish is superb. We ate there two evenings during our stay at The Lodge at Spruce Peak and it did not disappoint. Prices are very high, but well worth it for a yearly visit. This restaurant is very noisy in the evenings as many families are there, but I guess it drowned out the noise of our own children as well, ha! We were seated next to a 20-top of very loud adults (their kids sat next to them at a separate table)....they were cursing which made it uncomfortable. Our server generously found us another table further away from the chaos. She rescued our dining experience. No one should have to deal with that at such an expensive establishment. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for their delicious dishes.
Comfortable yet elegant setting, great ambiance really feeling like you've escaped to the mountains. Fresh menu with many options, excellent mixed drink cocktail list, extensive wine list and spirits. We enjoyed the burrata salad and cod fritters to start and had the venison loin and wild boar tagliatelle. All of it was amazing. Definitely stray from your comfort level to enjoy some of the dishes they have on the menu, you won't regret it!
The place was a total mess. The food was cold, dry,the food tables where messy and food all over them. Dessert table have food all over the table and on the floor. I would not go there for Thanksgiving dinner again. Was completely over price for what they had.
The dishes are creative and delicious but the coffee was terrible.
I was surprised that the regular menu was not available , as that is not what I saw on the website. It was a combination of the bar menu and the regular Solstice menu. It was a little disappointing. But the food we ordered was quite good.

We ate 1 dinner and 2 breakfasts at the Solstice, The menu at dinner was limited although we did enjoy what we chose. The breakfast buffet on Sunday was overpriced. If you chose to order off the menu, the choices were very limited. Monday breakfast was excellent from a varied menu. The service all three times was friendly and efficient. Due to the number of small children present the noice level was high.
Great location however very pricey for a slightly above Mediocre meal. The appetizers were fantastic and the tuna poke was amazing. In retrospect I think we should’ve ordered a few tuna poke’s and the lobster ravioli for our meal as those were fantastic. The main courses were very small. The Arctic char was smaller than most child’s portions and After hiking all day we were forced to order another meal on top of that. We are wine aficionado’s and don’t mind paying the standard restaurant price for wines however these winds are extremely overpriced for instance the Stags’ Leap at any other restaurant would be in the $100 range, however here it was priced at $190.
Food was wonderful. It’s a big open space with very high ceilings, so not the cozy dining experience, but a fun one.
Painfully slow service. Had a reservation for dinner, was seated on time and the wait began. It wasn't even busy! Do not eat here if you are hungry or have plans after dinner. Food was ok. Small portions. We thought it was a fluke and tried breakfast the next morning. Even worse waiting! Finally someone came to our table, ordered coffee and OJ and the buffet. Came back from the buffet, still no drinks. Ate a good portion of my plate before they finally came. Again - was not busy! Can't imagine this place when it's in full ski season.
Here is how a very good restaurant should always treat its customers, as Soltice displays so well. We had the cod fritters and also ordered new England clam chowder. The chowder was super but the fritters were way too salty. They got sent back and we were asked if we wanted a replacement for it. As we had the chowder, we said no.
We then had Tim their excellent sommelier bring us over a Burratta which was very good. Then they brought us a shrimp appetizers with their grilled bread, also very good. No, we didn't order these last two dishes, they just did this to make up for the oversalted fritters. We finished the evening with super entrees.
Once again a memorable evening at Solstice.
As we had the chef's table our experience was just magnificent.
Tim our sommelier was super at presenting us with very different wines to accompany each meal course and he himself was someone that made our entire evening special. David and Brad are chefs extraordinary. Intelligence with their craft, yet lending a sense of unique interpretation to each of our 6 courses.

I liked the dining room, but to be honest I believe the display kitchen needs an upgrade, speaking as someone who has been involved with a number of unique interior projects of this type of facility.
Thanks also to the two gentlemen up an coming chefs that worked very hard directly in front of us, those deserts were beyond words.

We have dined at Solstice multiple times and the food and waitstaff are very good. Unfortunately, the hosting station is not - we always have to wait for assistance and for a table even with a reservation. The problem seems a lack of staff - not enough waitstaff and they can’t accommodate the reservations they’ve taken without overwhelming the waitstaff. As an example, we had breakfast on Sunday and had to wait at the hosting station along with 2 other couples as the host was clearing and setting tables.
Beautiful location, good food and the waitstaff is awesome...once you get seated
Went there for our anniversary and on our table was a card signed by all the staff, such a nice touch!!
Evening was enjoyable, service was great. The food was ok. Nothing out of this world. There are better restaurant downtown.
Very convenient if staying in the lodge. They have a unique but wonderful and creative menu. When in Stowe it’s a must go place. For dessert, the apple crisp is out of this world.
This is a hidden gem. Entry is through an old residence converted to a hotel. Without the address we would have missed it. Food was excellent and our server was great. As a bit of a foodie, this is worth seeking out.
Almost great dining experience but very good despite one big misstep. We were staying at the Lodge and had dinner for 4. Service was great. Appetizers nice. Entrees were terrific except that I ordered the $85 rib eye while my companions had the chicken and flat iron steak. Unfortunately the rib eye was over cooked (ordered medium rare and was definitely medium plus). But the staff acted quickly and took it off our order and gave a dessert on the house. But it was really good otherwise and staff was amazing.
We hadn’t been here for a while and there seems to have been a few different chefs over the last years, but the food was excellent and a wonderful and varied menu which I appreciate as a vegetarian. Service was excellent and you can’t beat the ambience. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
We very disappointed not to be informed ahead of time that the typical menu as not available and that there would only be a buffet. The food was very average and not a good value.
Will make the fireworks night an annual tradition.
We really enjoy our Sunday Brunch at Solstice. The buffet is excellent featuring a scrumptious muscli along with various egg and meat dishes. The croissants are especially well made. We also order off the menu - Berry Blaster smoothies and Avocado Toast with smoked salmon. Set in a marvelous sunlit dining room, Solstice at the Stowe Mountain Lodge is a must.
Thank you so much for making our night special! The signed birthday card was the perfect gesture and my boyfriend truly appreciated it.

Delicious brunch at Solstice- our Stowe favorite. The berry smoothie was awesome as was the Avocado Toast. The Sunday buffet has just about everything you could want from fresh fruit to lovely musuli and various egg dishes all washed down by wonderful artisan tea.
For Fathers Day, Solstice had a very nice buffet breakfast that featured fruit, a scrumptious musli, two dishes of scrambled eggs with chives and other extras, various meats, croissants with delicious butter, and 10 grain toast all washed down with a wonderful artisan tea.we also tried the very tasty berry blaster smoothie and the avocado toast. Solstice has now staffed up for the Summer Season and there were many new friendly faces. This is a very classy way to start your Stowe Sunday.
We delight in our Sunday Brunch at Solstice every weekend . This Sunday Michael was our server and looked after us very well. We started with the Berry Smoothie which was delicious. Then scrambled eggs with chives and hot chili’s along with potatoes and the very nice 10 grain whole wheat toast. This was washed down with the very nice Artisan Tea. A wonderful way to start our Stowe Sunday.
We had a very nice Sunday Brunch seated at our favorite table. Our server was very helpful and the ambience was delightful as usual. This is a must venue in Stowe for those looking for a special meal.
There are two major problems with this restaurant. One: it's a bait and switch experience. The website describes Solstice as " ingredients are all local, exceptionally fresh and, in many cases, organic. Enjoy an ever‐changing menu of artisan‐inspired cuisine at the signature restaurant of The Lodge." This isn't a fine dining experience at all. This is an all-day bar menu with four entrees added 5pm. The fare mainly consists of burgers, salads and some shareable plates.
This would be fine if those items were remotely executed well. The caesar salad of local fresh gem lettuce was three pieces of romaine and half a cherry tomato sprinkled with powdered Kraft parmesan. It was so dry my guest choked on it. We ordered a tuna poke with avocado, that turned out to be a few pieces of tuna on a nacho chip without any sauce or avocado. The nachos were a mess of ingredients served on a sheet pan that looked like it came from a chuck-e-cheese.
The only saving grace was the staff was nice.
I don't mind if the menu is cut back for the offseason, but you need to be able to describe your dishes correctly and cook them properly. This was entirely misrepresented from start to finish and probably the single worst food I've been served at a fine dining restaurant in many years.
Execllent food and service.
