Always a great meal. Inventive, delicious, menu that changes 4 times per year.
My girlfriend and I were here for her birthday and the food was outstanding. This restaurant might be one of the best in the entire city
Fabulous dining experience! Our taste buds were on overload! Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, ingredients and preparation of the dishes. Her description of each item made it an adventure worth waiting for. Even though the atmosphere is cozy casual, don't let that fool you for the exceptional culinary artistry you will experience!
Off the charts quality and taste. First visit and will it be the last.
Fantastic. Very visually pleasing. Excellent value compared to other restaurants.
Always love this restaurant. Great food and great service no matter what the occasion.
We love that the menu changes with the seasons so it never feels like it gets old =)
We had a fantastic meal and will definitely be back
Food and service was excellent! Sea bass was fabulous
After tasting the food items Solstice had at Tatse of Edmonton, we knew we had to visit their location. I was disappointed that the risotto from Taste wasn’t on the menu but the rest of the food did not disappoint! We have a beef chuck appetizer to start. The poutine croquettes were DELISH!
Our main course menu was also very tasting. I was very happy with my venison. It was cooked to perfection with delicious sides.
The service was great. Our server was friendly with lots of knowledge on the food. We felt well taken care of. The only down side was the decor/ambiance that we didn’t feel represented the vibe of the menu and the dining experience. However we won’t let that stop us from devouring their entire menu! We will be back and we look forward to their next seasonal menu change.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We experienced new variations of combinations that were fresh, delish and beautifully presented. Nice nice portions. Friendly attentive service. All wonderful. We will definitely go back - this was our first visit through a gift card.
Went for a belated anniversary dinner. It was a great meal from start to finish. Service was excellent and provided the right amount of commentary.
Really enjoyed our recent dinner at Solstice. The service was excellent and the food extremely good and beautifully presented. I was a little disappointed in the wine list as I’m a Chardonnay lover and there wasn’t one on the list. Also the restaurant was on the noisy side which made conversation a little difficult, especially for someone with a hearing deficit. That said, I would definitely recommend Solstice and would probably return if visiting Edmonton again.
As always a fantastic place to go for great food and great atmosphere! We have been here a few times since they have opened and always a favourite of ours!
Normally this restaurant is excellent . But the new autumn needs some tweaking .Had the Pork chop which came with Brussels sprouts some of which were completely uncooked,my husband the lamb dish, there was not a lot lamb in the dish. It was an off night for the kitchen
Food took awhile to come out but was well worth the wait.
What a treat! My first time visiting this unique eatery and it won’t be my last. The detail exacted on every dish is a feast for the eyes first, then a feast for the palette.
We had a meat appetizer, the squash soup, a chicken dish, and salad that came with tiny edible flowers. A berry roll finished the meal.
Our waitress was attentive and quick. We also appreciated the description of each plate by the server.
Prices are on the high side, so make this a special treat.
Always amazing food and service. Super easy to miss from the street but such a great find!
Although the food was excellent the service was very slow. Our waitress was slow to take our food order and we didn't end up receiving our main course until 2 hours after we had ordered!
This was our first visit to Solstice ... on the Equinox, actually! We had browsed the menu in advance and thought everything sounded excellent. We weren't disappointed. My husband and I both ordered appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Everything was delicious. It was expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
The owner stuck us as the back by the washrooms when there were 3 open tables at the front. Happens all the time to women. It's super disappointing
Amazing food, great server and the cocktails were tasty!
The food was not only beautiful on the plate but delicious as well. Excellent service.
My wife and I tried Solstice on a Saturday night, and it was very good. I am a carnivore and she is a vegetarian, and the small menu had great options for both of us. Our appetizers were especially good; I had the boar's cheek and she had the couscous. While it's not cheap, the food was well worth it. We had 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, and 2 glasses of wine, and it was just over $100.
Absolutely amazing service and food. This was our second trip to Solstice, and for a second time they made the supper amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Just go eat here, if you haven’t yet do it ASAP. Can’t wait to go back.
Food was excellent. Very busy so our waiter was rushed.
It was really good dinner for our anniversary.
Foods, drinks and desserts were awesome!!
Especially desserts were best desserts we had before.
Fantastic meal accompanied by great cocktails and a superb bottle of Cote de Rhone. Server Tim was knowledgable, helpful and unobtrusive, like all good server staff should be. He had good recommendations for drinks and meal choices and that made it a lovely evenimg overall. The food here is 10 out of 10.
Me and my boyfriend can’t stop talking about this place. The food was amazing, perfect for a birthday dinner or just a romantic date.
Wow. Another perfect meal at Solstice! One of our favourite stops and definitely our favourite fir tenderloin. The flavours are amazing! Nice wine list. Awesome deserts. Exceptional service, the delicate balance of prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Absolute gem.
The finest beef tenderloin I have ever tasted. It literally melted and was incredibly juicy. Scallops were perfect. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. Excellent wine recommendation made for a perfect experience.
Solstice consistently meets and exceeds our expectations every time we go. My husband and I agree that it's our favorite spot in the city and really does not get as much recognition that it deserves. So proud to have this gem in our neighborhood.
This was the second time we visited your establishment and were totally satisfied with each visit. The first time I brought friends from Australia and they were overwhelmed !
This was an 11th hour decision to go out for dinner with good friends. We enjoyed:
Wine selected from a very good wine list...
But passed on deserts, tempting as they were.
We will be back.
the food wa s outstanding the service was pretty good but not the best the only problem was the noise level you could not converse without helling. pity so if you want great food and do9 not want to talk this is the place for you jaa
All the dishes were well balanced and had lots of thought put into them. I highly enjoyed the cocktails on their menu, our server was polite but still friendly.
Have never been disappointed here. The food is presented artistically it has never been cold. Amazing what comes out of a small kitchen.
Great kitchen. Excellent service at the table. Commendable wine list. We enjoyed everything about our meal. The ambience is plain though...it all happens in an ordinary room.
Fourth visit to Solstice and continue to be impressed each and every time we go.
This has been my favorite restaurant but this last visit was very disappointing. The portion size was tiny tiny. I will never order the striped bass again. Minimal vegetables - we had to order a cheese platter to feel even slightly satisfied. The noise level was off the charts. We couldn’t hear each other across the table without yelling. And....there was NO coffee. None!
Fantastic little place, not cheap but the value was there
