About SOLSTICE Restaurant & Wine Bar
In the fall of 2005, brothers Vince, John Paul and Andrew Angheloni (AKA "The Boy's" to all of the regulars) opened Solstice Restaurant & Wine Bar™ in Clarkson Village. Being raised in a family that was always involved in the restaurant business, the brothers share a passion for food, wine, and all things culinary. Their vision was to share this passion with the community and create a restaurant that is not only exceptional quality & value, but warm and inviting as well.

SOLSTICE Restaurant & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
We both enjoyed our food (veal with pasta and seafood with pasta). Service was friendly and reasonably prompt. Waiter was very friend and helped with the meal selection. Desert was nice but the selection was filled with a lot of gelato choices(too many).
Will go again.
This is a long time favourite of ours. I was surprised when I asked for the 6:00pm time that I was offered either earlier or later. When we arrived at 6:15pm there was almost no one in the restaurant. It got busier much later but we had an entire section to ourselves for a long time and the area never filled up. I would not use open table again, I would just call the restaurant and get the time I wanted. I also found the appetizer items much more expensive than in the past so passed on them. I would have liked the waitress to given us the price to the specials. I worry that the prices are getting too high for a casual meal but the quiet room is appreciated as some restaurants are becoming too noisy.
Nice restaurant. It was a Wednesday night and it was my girlfriend's birthday. I saw on Opentable the rate is 4.6 that is why I selected this restaurant. Not very noisy and 3 tables of customers are celebrating birthdays! They have special price for selected combos which are really nice and good in cost. The octopus appetizer is great and is must be ordered! We also order a salad, one seafood+ rice and one steak for main course, dessert are also good. The service is a little lag as we are so hungry. However, service is very kind and care, I had an important phone call for around 20 minutes and there is no push on the bill although it is nearly the time of restaurant closing. The decoration is not 100% modern but very comfortable. Overall, it is an amazing place to eat due to the taste of food, calm environment, great service, and cost effective price. Highly recommend!
We went for Taste of Clarkson. The food was so delicious that I'm going again in a week! I got the octopus appetizer and the octopus was grilled nicely, it was nice and tender, not chewy at all and the combination with the arugula and fennel and that spritz of fresh lemon rounds it off so wonderfully (my friend that doesn't eat octopus loved it too). The seafood paella was my entree, I loved how they did not skimp out on the seafood, it had plenty of squid, shrimp, mussels and chorizo. It was also nice and hot (temperature wise) when it came out and while I was eating it, and it didn't cool down very quickly. And the dessert, I got the Canada 150 cheese cake jar, what can I say except for the jar was too small, I wanted more!!! The people were nice and friendly. I'm looking forward to going back in a few days!!! The food was so delicious that I cleaned the whole plate (before and after pictures). There isn't an after picture of the octopus appetizer because it was so good, that I ate the plate! :)
Four of us went to Solstice for Taste of Clarkson. The food was good with a nice local wine selection. It's fairly open so was a bit loud when we arrived, but nothing annoying. The staff were very nice, but somewhat slow - we had to ask for bread twice and also sometimes ask for water refills.
I have been to Solstice many times and had a positive experience. This most recent dinner was awful. The sauce on the veal parmesan tasted as if it came out of a can. The service was extremely slow and it took ages for our meal to arrive. I will not go back anytime soon.
The only "negative" element is the noise level. Even when the restaurant is not at capacity it can be difficult to carry on a conversation. We were a table of three and had to lean in to hear each other.
Noise is common in most establishments - acoustical ceilings don't seem to be part of the consideration.
Otherwise it is a great spot lunch/dinner/drink.
New to the area, took visiting family out for dinner. Adults and kids found lots of choices, service was friendly and attentive, food was great, everyone enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner and will be returning often.
We choose Solstice for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we were very impressed.
Service always with a smile, delicious food - we had calamari fritti, the salmon dish and seafood risotto, specialty coffees, wine and A Surprise Tiramisu dessert with decorated Happy 20th plate
We had a great dinner at Soltice to celebrate a birthday. The owner greeted us very kindly and showed us to a great private table with a great view. Service was friendly and efficient. Two of us chose from the special menu and that was excellent value. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Excellent food and service and fair pricing.
As always, we had a great eveening at Solstice. The food was good, service attentive and the lighting was unobtrusive; we could chat amongst ourselves and hear each other! The only "downside" was that the 25% off Italian wines offer was only on the special menu --- this was not clearly stated on the menu. However, we enjoyed our evening and will return again soon.
Dining at Solstice is like being with good friends. This Clarkson gem of a restaurant is amongst our favorites in Mississauga.
We were very warmly greeted upon arrival and seated promptly. The restaurant currently has a Taste of Italy menu, which looks great (and is a fantastic deal) - but all 4 of us wanted to get our favorites from the regular menu. My mussels were excellent, and went really well with the truffle fries that my wife ordered for the table to share. I followed with the roast chicken, which was amazingly tasty.
Service is always consistently friendly, unrushed, and great. Definitely a high recommendation from all of us!
Dinner was amazing ! Service was outstanding!!!!!! There were six of us and 5 of us did price fixed menu .It was very tasty! They also offered 25% off Italian wines! With the priced fixed menu. Good selection! Dessert was not our favourite, cake was dry and our server did bring some extra whip cream to moisten it! Our server was Shawn and his service and his sense of humour was outstanding! All in all it was a fabulous night! Thank you!
