We were celebrating my son’s 31st birthday and we
enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Solstice. He mentioned that he would like an individual cup of applesauce for dessert with his Disaranno. Our waitress, Britney, har a staff member go next door to purchase a six pack of applesauce for his dessert. The remaining 5 individual cups were sent home with my son. This is an example of exemplary service. Many, many THANKS to the staff, management and customers at Solstice for such a fun night.

What else to say: another visit to Solstice and another great meal! We both had fish served very creatively and deliciously—bronzed snapper and southern fried flounder. The potato leek soup was the best ever!

Jake served us personably and well paced.

No better dining in Columbia!

My husband said "We are so blessed to have Solstice so close to where we live!" We were fortunate to get in without much notice and to get our favorite table even though it was a popular choice tonight judging by the crowd. We shared the fried oysters and Brussels for appetizers and then he had a filet and I had the snapper special. It was all so delicious! Renee was awesome and made wonderful recommendations! Can't wait to return! Thanks to Blake for dessert too!

This is the most fantastic restaurant! Fresh, local, delicious food well prepared and presented. We looked this up on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed! The grits are amazing! The shrimp and crab cakes were amazing! The pock chop was amazing! The service was amazing! Chelsea was the best server and so kind and attentive! Truly genuine person! Only minor complaint is that we were sitting near the door and it was cold every time the door opened. Otherwise, a wonderful experience and we will be back!

We arrived 10 minutes before our reservations and were immediately greeted and shown to our table. The general manager, Blake, was incredibly helpful and recommend the scallops appetizer. It was amazing! Our server, Chelsea, answered all of our questions and we decided on the Monkfish and Red Drum. Both of our entrees were exceptionally prepared. We will definitely be going back.

We did the 3 course special for restaurant week. Seated by the manager who greeted us and made us feel valued. Great first two course choices and we were too full for desserts so we carried our cheesecakes home! Our entree was a chef created flounder dish served over creamed grits. NE Columbia and surrounding areas continue to be treated to one of Columbia’s best restaurants. What a gem!

The service was top notch. Cocktails were really, really good and the food was well prepared and delicious (Buttermilk chicken, boneless porkchop, duckbreast special, scallops). The only thing that was underwhelming was the mushroom risotto. While it was cooked well, it was a little bland.

Provided some of the most unusual dishes we have had in a long time. The amous bouche was a flavor explosion that proved black eyed peas could be made to taste sumptuous. Brussel sprouts appetizer that would make a very good entree for vegetarian. Pork and cheese egg roll tasted wonderful but cheese needed to be dispersed more to avoid a molten hot spot. Flounder was very delicately crumbed and nicely crispy. Boneless pork chop tasted good but was not very tender. These minor points were what kept it from being a PERFECT meal but the chef's touch was obviously in a class that justified Best in State ranking in the past. Long drive from home but we will fondly remember this meal.

Solstice has been our favorite local restaurant as we dine here frequently and normally rate all 5*. However this evening was not quite up to par, maybe due to New Years crowd. The fried oysters which we have had many times were small and overcooked. The filet mignon which I had seemed dry and overcooked for med rare. My wife had the short ribs which were very good and I have enjoyed several times in the past. The banana dessert was good but seemed different than in the past.

We had only dined at Mr. Friendly's, which has become our favorite restaurant in Columbia. So during the holidays, we decided to give Solstice a try since it is closer to our home. Although similar, each restaurant has a unique vibe and menu variation. However, both have one thing in common. Total Awesomeness on every level.
