Our kids enjoyed their 1st "restaurant week" dining experience. Excellent 3-course menu to choose from and the dessert added a sweet ending to the evening.
The menu for restaurant week is wonderful! I had the lemongass shrimp appetizer and the thai halibut which were both excellent and my husband had the pork tacos and pork entree which were also wonderful. We also got the creme brulee cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. All great! We hope to make it back again for the duck!
Great service. Accommodating. Excellent wine selection. Easy parking.
We had a very pleasant experience at Solstice Kitchen Our server, TJ, was excellent, and the meal was delicious- very unique and well prepared with a beautiful presentation. I have been there several times and found it to be a wonderful dining experience repeatedly. My friend, who had never been there, was very impressed as well.
Great place for dinner. I was visiting from out of town, so was not disappointed.
We had a wonderful evening starting with drinks at the bar and enjoyed the dinner menu offered through restaurant week. Beautiful presentation of food! Lovely ambience.
Awesome as usual!! We used to meet friends and go to different places but once we found Solstice we have not changed in 2 years!
We love to hear that Robyn, thank you for your patronage!
This was our second visit here. My son attends USC and I found Solstice last year when we were visiting.
I can’t say enough about this restaurant. Having been in the restaurant industry myself I tend to be harder to please. The service is spot on and the food is excellent.
We’ll definitely be back on our next trip!!!
Thanks so much, we look forward to your next visit!
Food choices were excellent. Ambience was nice, although a little crowded. Tables were close together. The food flavors were very good and wine options were extensive. Service was also quite good. The dining room is a little too dark when eating.
We love to hear that the food was great. Unfortunately it does get a little crowded during USC Parents Weekend, one of the busiest times of the year for us. We hope to see you next time!
We very much enjoyed our dining experience. The food was delicious and the wait staff very good. This was our first time at Solstice Kitchen as we are new to the area but I'm sure we'll be back!
Fantastic, we will see you then!
My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary by going to Solstice. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive, but not hovering. Solstice provided a glass of champagne for us to toast the memorable occasion, they did not need to but they did and we appreciated it. Allison, our server was so nice and was able to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We hope that you stop by for your next special occasion!
Def been better!
We are sorry that your experience was not what you have come to expect from us, and do hope you will give us another chance! Thanks!
Excellent as always, as well as service. .
Thank you so much!
We went for a special occasion. The food was excellent. Specials were varied. I had the pink snapper and it was perfect.
We appreciate the kind words!
We go to Solstice a lot from time to time because we live nearby. This time I dined alone with Chelsea's coaching. Her advice was perfect! I had oysters, brussel sprouts and snapper. It was all delicious and her service was great!
Thank you for the kind words. Chelsea is a great one, be sure to ask for her next time!
Fantastic birthday dinner! Quality food, comfortable atmosphere, and great service!
Thank you so much! We hope you come by for your next special occasion!

This place is one of our favorite spots in Columbia. However, the service was super slow and our food was not to standard. The food was cold! I was surprised by our experience here because we have dined here several times and have never had a negative experience until now. I hope this is an isolated incident and does not reflect the direction that this business is headed in.
Every time we go to Solstice we say how wonderful it was and wonder why we don't go more often! From the bread to the amuse, appetizers (scallops and duck) and entrees (tuna and beef shortribs), it was all delicious. The service is just perfect. We look forward to going back very soon!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
We truly enjoy the dining experience every time; from the warm greeting at the door, the superb service of the serving staff, the peaceful/romantic ambiance, and to the delivery of by far the best selection of entrees for everyone. Thank you so much for taking pride in genuine hospitality. That's the key to keeping customers coming back for more...as we do!
Thank you so much, it is always a pleasure seeing y'all come in! We definitely try to keep our standards high, to hopefully attract more wonderful regulars like you! We will see you soon!
Much more our style. Great atmosphere, superb wine list, excellent food. The downside is that it is a 30+ minute drive.
First trip to Solstice based on others' recommendations. Service, food and atmosphere were top notch. If back in Columbia, I will return!
Thank you so much!
Great creme brûlée cheese cake! Good wine selection.
Excellent across the board...specials are nicely done (presentation, taste, affordability). Wait staff very caring. We’re regulars and enjoy our every visit at Solstice Kitchen. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Always on our list of places to go when in Columbia.
Food was fresh, excellently prepared, and the service was top notch. We had a wonderful dining experience.
Thank you so much, we hope to see you again soon!
The cheese plate was disappointing. It is getting worse each time. The manager was very nice. The waiter was too slow.
Love to go here, it was just a little off this time
Hi Robyn, we appreciate your patronage. I am sorry that it seemed off this time, I assure you that we are trying to keep everything at our very high expectations! We hope that your next visit is as amazing as it has been in the past!
Special occasion for us, many regulars and locals. Dress is business casual wait staff sharp as a razor management checks on your satisfaction. All in all well worth the 2 hrs. it took to enjoy this restaurant.
Thanks so much! We hope that you will come again for your next special occasion!
Always Fresh fish available and vegetarian selections are great!
Thank you so much!
Always the best food and service!
I’m all about ambiance, but it was way too dark in the dining area. Though the service was great, the food was marginal at best. Though the steak’s temp was right, these were about the toughest ribeyes we have ever eaten. The bread was hard...really hard, and the salad came drenched in dressing. Solstice is not what it used to be by a long shot! We won’t be coming back.
Amazing food, amazing service. Our favorite place to eat in Columbia
Excellent food. Excellent Service. Best restaurant in the area.
Had reservations, so there was no wait. We were brought water, had to wait about 10 minutes for server to take drink orders. Had to wait an additional 15 minutes for drinks to arrive... quite unusual for Solstices service. Our appetizers were great but had to ask another server to get our server for additional drink orders. Our waiter was very nice, engaging, and possibly new and overwhelmed. Our food was as outstanding as always. We were offered the amuse-bouche as we waited for our check...perhaps forgotten earlier by the server?
Overall we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed our meal, despite the bumps in the service road.
Solstice for family birthdays every year. Terrific service, outstanding food and beverages and such a welcoming ambiance make for an unforgettable gathering.
We were a bit disappointed with our most recent visit. We go to Solstice on a regular basis with friends and business associates, and it's always recommended to any of our out of town guests. However, this visit seem to miss the mark. It was our anniversary dinner, which was reserved and confirmed as such, but there was no attention made to it by any of the staff. Wasn't looking for a parade, but was hoping for at a minimum a congratulatory comment, a lit candle, a flower in a vase, something....didn't happen. Other than being seated immediately, service was very slow. Our waiter was very personable, however, everything was 10 minutes or so behind when it should happen. Such as, waiting an extended time for drinks to be served, having to ask for bread, and then another wait for it to be served. We got the impression they were either understaffed or the staff on hand were overextended for the service. It took us 20 minutes+ from the time we placed our order to be served. When the food did arrive it was on the cool side of warm. Like it had sat at the pass for 10 to 15 minutes after being prepared before being served. At the start, it was tolerable and we were starved, so we ate. About a third of the way into the meal, the food was too cold to be enjoyable, so we just asked for to go boxes. Again, a big disappointment for a special night out.
Always excellent food and service. One of the best restaurants in the area. Have never had a bad experience here
My wife and I enjoyed a flawless evening at Solstice Kitchen for our wedding anniversary! First, they honored the seating request I made in the reservation. The seat was cozy, lights were dimmed, candle was lit, and the ambience was perfect (romantic but not too stuffy). We arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday night and it was pretty crowded, but by 7:30pm the crowd began to thin out.
Secondly, the food was delicious! Our bbq spring rolls were nice and crisp, and the creole cole slaw was very complimentary. For entrees, I had the halibut and my wife had the buttermilk fried chicken. Both were prepared well, and neither of us finished our meal. We saved room for dessert, and the cheesecake was worth it!
Lastly, our server maintained the perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy. He was there when we needed him, and away while we enjoyed each other. Also, I don’t know if they always provide this, but he surprised us with a watermelon/mint refresher that cleansed our palate between the appetizer and dinner. It was much appreciated! He knew the menu well, and his recommendations rang true to our experience.
We definitely hope to return soon!
Food was excellent. Service was friendly and professional.
