Solita Tacos and Margaritas - Valencia
Solita’s Mexico is fresh and delicious, simple and light. It’s made from scratch, often carrying a whiff of smoky flavor from the wood or charcoal grill, full of flavor from fresh salsas, corn tortillas, limes, dry and fresh chiles, crushed herbs, fruit and spices, mole sauces and cheeses.
Solita brings the fun and authentic flavors of street food to the American table. All is fresh and healthy, and skillfully cooked. Many unique and authentic touches are added to the menu items, such as the duros in the chip basket, a salsa made mostly of tomatillos, slices of radish with the onions, and red chile salsa made with Mexican red chiles and a touch of beer!
all good as usual. considering all the precautions and restrictions in place due to COVID, all was great!
Everything was amazing from start to finish. The patio is a great place to dine with a group of friends. We were seated promptly and the food was out fast! Great service all around! Our server Bailey was absolutely phenomenal!
Very positive experience for being one of the first time out eating after the shut downs. The food, drinks, and service was all pretty good regardless of the limited capacity. I will be back soon :)
First time at this location. Service and food were outstanding. I will definitely be going back for a more social outing.
Great food. If you can't decide on what you want get the 4 taco sampler.
Not super comfortable being out at a restaurant yet.
The food is delicious and the flan is amazing! The restaurant has a good vibe too!!
The food is the best, the drinks are so good! Service was a little slow, but due to them just reopening understandable. All in all can’t wait to go back..
Love it. Fish street tacos are very flavorful and the Margarita was delish!
Thanks for taking my reservation.
They were closed. The entire complex was closed.
You should really keep up to date on these things.
Restaurant was closed. No notification from anyone
The food was absolutely horrible and very overpriced for what it was. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay DURING happy hour and was charged 18.00 for one glass. To make it worse, I actually had two glasses not knowing they were 18.00 a piece. La Crema was the brand which sells for about 16.00 a bottle. I get a glass in a restaurant is high, but honestly, the waiter never asked what brand I wanted even after I confirmed that it was happy hour. $36.00 for two glasses of wine is ridiculous at a Mexican food restaurant.
NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN
Total bill for 2 people $98.00 UGGHHH
Great food great employees great over all
Our server was absolutely terrible. He forgot our appetizer, and when we asked about it he said, “Right, what did you order again?” This was after we got our main entrees (which were brought out by a different person). He failed to check on us again throughout the dinner, which left both my drink and my wife’s sparking water empty for the majority of our meal. I ended up just going to the bar to get our drinks refilled. We were also charged $1.50 for extra salsa that was never brought out even after reminding him during the one time he checked on us. I didn’t mention it when we paid the check because we just wanted to leave and end the experience. It’s a shame too because we just moved to the area and had high hopes. The food was good, but the service just ruined the experience. Oh well, there are plenary of Mexican restaurants that actually care about their customers in the area that we will be going to in the future.
First of all, we thought it would be nice to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday at this place but we were wrong, we should have gone somewhere else. Bad waiter, bland food, drinks were watered down. Definitely not coming back nor would I recommend this place to anyone I know...
Excellent chips/salsa and queso. Best Margarita I have found at a restaurant in years. Wish they would open a restaurant near me as this was a recent stop on a Vacation route.
Very fast, great atmosphere and incredibly friendly. Food was delicious
Hi Melissa, Thank you for the kind words! We’re so happy your visit at solita was a good one! It’s stories like yours that help us continue to provide excellent service. Come have a taco or two with us sometime soon!
Valentines night. Reservations via Opentable. Seated us as soon as our turn came to check in. Jonathon came over within a minute of being seated, introduced himself, and served us chips, salsas, and waters. He took our drink order, delivered our drinks and took our order. Dinner (his fav tacos, I got skinny burrito) was delivered within 10 minutes. Delish! Jonathon came back to clear dishes and dropped off check. Everything was well timed. We go to Solita fairly often so we especially enjoyed this visit.
Hi MiaRS, We are so glad you liked solita! We appreciate you taking the time to leave such a great review and give us a little love. It makes our day to know we made you happy! We especially enjoy reading your comments regarding Jonathan's service and will be sure to recognize his efforts. Come see us again soon and let’s have a tasty taco or three!
Excellent service, food, and especially the margaritas.
Hi, Thank you so much for your feedback. We have Happy Hour Monday – Friday, and we always have room somewhere with your kind of energy.
Made reservations for 8:45 got seated at 9:20, as we asked twice when we arrived and at 9 pm if our table was ready politely the employees were not considerate and rude, when it came to our table finally being ready the female who showed us to our table said it’s ready and took us and just said there, next to 2 empty tables not knowing which one was ours. As we sat she said not that one the other one in a rudely manner. Tables were crowded next to each other no space, your chest was pushed to the table. Music was too loud where you couldn’t hear across the table, waiter was mumbling as if he didn’t want to work, food was salty and gave us the wrong food twice. Never again will I go.
Fun place, went for a special birthday occasion and made a reservation for a special table and they put us by the kitchen. Usually not a problem but the kitchen was not as tidy as one would expect when it is in plain sight and I would have expected a better table with a birthday reservation made.
Nice atmosphere, Great bar, the house margaritas are great. If you like hotter salsa for your chips, ask, the green sauce is amazing. I had the enchiladas - very good, couldn't even finish it.
Good atmosphere & drinks. The tacos de Toro weren't the best choice this time. Not a bad meal, but not what I'm used to. I've had about 8 different tacos they serve & all have been awesome. Chorizo, bacon & sweet potato is to die for!
Bumpy service when we arrived, front desk staff was short and rude. We had a reservation, and still had to wait 30 min for table. We changed reservation size earlier in the day on open table and it seems to have not been updated on their end so they suggested any time a change us made on open table we call to confirm...seems to defeat purpose of the app. We were seated in the covered patio - it was a cold evening and they had no heat lamps and there were wide open gaps in the plastic window coverings do it was super uncomfortable to sit / eat and enjoy.
Waiter / server tried to make it up with better service and 2 street corn appetizers ($18 total) on the house. Food was just so so, there’s a lot better Mexican in the general area (eg javiers, red o, etc...). It’s not a spot I’d go back to.
The food was delicious our server didn’t have a clue.how to take care of people ...he needs a new profession
Best everything!! Drinks, food, ambience, you name it - this is my favorite of all time. Skinny margs are DELISH, guac is SO fresh, salsa is tasty, rice is authentic and full of flavor, not a single thing on the menu that I haven’t liked. I gave 4 out of 5 stars for service ONLY because it was extremely busy on a Friday night and it took longer than normal for food/drinks to arrive, but our server was very attentive, polite, and made sure we were happy!
Food and atmosphere was great. Service was weakest part but good enough. Not what I would call a romantic atmosphere, but nice. Noise level somewhat high, but you can hear conversation just fine.
Always a good place to eat and grab drinks.
Great food, great margaritas, great service, great prices! Loved it!
There wasn't a choice for "maybe" in regards to recommending Solita to a friend. Our server was very good and was the highlight of our visit to Solita. The food on the other hand was a hit and miss. I had the carnitas plate and it was rather tasty. My wife had the chipotle chicken and the chicken was very dry, probably overcooked. The seasoning was rather bland as it didn't have a noticeable chipotle flavor. One hit and one miss. "Maybe" it was an off day and our experience was a fluke. However, my wife doesn't care to return to Solita for fear of experiencing a similar disappointment.
Rather disappointed, had a reservation for dinner. Seated quickly, then waited 15 minutes before a person, possibly a manager approached our table with chips and salsa. He wanted to take our drink order but after waiting so long we placed our food order too.
The food and drinks came quick. But I ordered a chicken chipotle dish with rice & beans. Nothing difficult to make, well the chicken had no chipotle flavor and honestly tasted like the one you buy at Costco already made. Not impressed with the dish at all. At least my wife’s shrimp taco plate was ok. Nothing great, oh and the waitress popped her head in twice to see if we were “ok”. Either they need more people there to wait tables or something was wrong with her.
For a Wednesday at 7 pm it didn’t seem that busy. Doubt we will go back again. $75 for both of us to eat dinner, 1 alcoholic drink each, 1 shared dessert. Wasn’t worth the total.
Pretty good eats. We were there late Saturday and the place was still pretty lively. Tasty food, albeit a little oversauced, but the prices were very reasonable for the amount given.
Food was not a good as times past. Service was absolutely terrible. Will not be returning.
I really I wanted to love this place . First service very slow ;I didn’t get drinking water after I ask went I already had my food ; I ask for chips run out really ! How long does it takes to tried couple tortillas ; drinks are really good .
Service was great however food was less then desirable
Vacation at Magic Mountain. Found the place on Open Table. My 14 year old sons love it as much as I did.
Good food and drinks.
The service was good, but the food was bland and sad. The fresh green salad was out of a bag. I was super disappointed with this place.
Good drinks and food and being connected to the mall doesn’t hurt either.
