Solbar, our casual yet sophisticated restaurant, is part of Solage Calistoga, Napa Valley’s most innovative resort and spa. Relax in the bar with a custom cocktail and a panoramic view of the Palisades Mountains or sit on the patio to enjoy a local wine and take in the scene at our 130-foot swimming pool.

In the Solbar kitchen, we are pleased to offer you a choice of lighter dishes to enjoy guilt-free as well as more decadent ones in which you can truly indulge. We go to great lengths to involve local producers whenever possible and to let the California seasons dictate our menu.

The food was really nothing special. My friend’s pork chop was over cooked. The butterscotch pudding hardly tasted of butterscotch. The scallops were over cooked and the spice was unusual but not tasty. The service was pretentious and overbearing. I don’t understand the Michelin rating. Breakfast, on the other hand, was outstanding

We have been to Solbar on numerous occasions. This most recent visit was sub optimal. Service was slow, I asked for bread when we sat down and it took 15 minutes to bring out dry toast. Neither my daughter nor I really liked our meals. Hers was particularly spicy and my salmon was just plain and bland. Ambiance is great and we normally enjoy sitting outside but that was not practical since it started to rain upon our arrival

Inventive lunch fare, incredibly friendly and efficient wait staff, and one of Napa's loveliest settings. Nice menu choices between light and less light- cleverly listed accordingly. Patio setting is lovely, filtered light, lots of shade options, and the dining room is very spacious and comfy/stylish.

What a beautiful spot. Enjoyed a late lunch outside on the patio ... sunshine, great food, wonderful service (just enough), and delightful company.

Appetizers (hamachi credo & burratta) were great, sommelier very knowledgeable & helpful, but the mains were a disappointment: duck was fatty and over-sauced, and pork chop quite tough and uninteresting. Then, my wife and I argued whether we could taste any lemon in the “lemon tart” we shared for dessert! It was not their best night...

Once again, we enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration, fabulous food, and drinks. We waited about 30 minutes for a table out of the traffic flow. The service was attentive and excellent overall. We look forward to celebrating special occasions at Solbar and will be back soon.

Food was good great. Crudo and salad with kurbota belly-very good. Poke was fabulous. Octopus was good. Very nice waygu brisket. Definitely not what your grandmother made. Sinfully good MacMallan 18 butterscotch pudding. Service was fine but a bit stretched. Niced decor but no real umph. Prices were a bit high given the overall experience.

Wow - I’ve eaten at Solbar many times and while the service and wine list are still excellent, the changes to the dining room decor and the changed cuisine continue to disappoint, at very high prices. The menu is very limited and the only dish that was appealing was the veal loin, but it was $45! We opted for sushi which was fine but pedestrian and nothing special. The bar staff and servers were excellent, as always. Very sad to see how much Solbar has sunk.

Had a late lunch here. Nice garden atmosphere. Soup was too salty. Burrata so-so. Salmon and beet salad were good. Service just ok.

Food wasn’t as good as I expected it to be and the service was slow with some errors. A bit disappointing. Great spot though, especially for outdoor dining on a sunny day.

Very disappointed to find the lucky pig was removed from menu. That dish was the whole reason we decided to go to the restaurant. Although the food was good, and the service was excellent - I missed the pig! Please bring it back.

Very cozy, romantic dining setting for a special occasion. The service is excellent and the food was outstanding. The tasting menu is definitely worth the price as the portions are pretty generous. I made a reservation 1 week in advance and got a cozy booth next to the fireplace. My husband and I will definitely be coming again in the future!
