We went to dinner on our first night of the honeymoon & had the best waitress I think I’ve ever had at a restaurant. She could tell right away we were celebrating and basically joined in on it too. She made us feel really special. The food is also absolutely delicious. The sour dough & truffle butter is a must. Everything we tried was perfection.

Food is absolutely fabulous! Try the butterscotch pudding for sure! The team makes sure you are taken care of and the resort ambiance is stellar. Food is as good as you’d get at any fine dining restaurant at much better value than $300+ prix fixe. Put this one on your list!

My 3rd visit in a year. Service is always exceptional. But, this time I left thoroughly disappointed and doubt we'll be back. In the last year, I've celebrated my 49th birthday, 20th wedding anniversary and a few night ago, celebrated my 50th birthday there. It was my two best friends and I - a party of three. My friends called ahead to see if they could bring my favorite cake for me - a miniature German chocolate cake. They said yes, but there would be a $25 PER PERSON cutting fee for a cake that was really a 2 person cake. Unreal! Offensive! Our dinner for 3 ppl on a Wednesday night was over $300 and they are rubbing the nickels together over a tiny little cake! The Cod was also under done and almost sushi style. I think I will find another restaurant for my special occasions.

I started with a Bloody Mary. This was the only lunch item I was not happy with. Tomato juice mixture was bland, in fact tasted as if it was only tomato juice. Needed some salt at the very least. But things got better from there. I had the lobster roll with butter lettuce salad. All so good. The lobster was perfectly cooked and lightly dressed. My husband had the fish tacos. Deliciously crisp and with tasty accompaniments. He also had a French 75 which he enjoyed. Along with the food we also enjoyed the ambiance of sitting outside in such a beautiful setting. Thank you. We will be back!

Service was great at the beginning The server was very helpful with ordering and meal selection. It took a long time after the dinner plates were removed from the table to get the dessert menu and then a longer wait to have the dessert order taken.

Although the atmosphere was beautiful and the food was good, the service was severely lacking. We sat for upwards of 10 minutes when we were the only group seated inside, and had to speak to the hostess to finally get a waiter. Ultimately, the food was good and the vibe was great- just wish the service was better.

First time here and we enjoyed it . Service was good and we enjoyed all our appetizers. Drinks were subpar as we tried 4 different options and nothing came close to what a $18+ drink should taste like . Desert was very good but was basically like two bites so we had to order another one . Overall it was good but I don’t think we would return as it was way over priced for the quality and portion size of the food we received .

Had a fabulous meal. The staff were so helpful and made our entire party (4 adults, a 6 month old snd a large goldendoodle) completely comfortable celebrating the Grandmas birthday. Will definitely be back …often!

I understand the staffing challenges that the service industry is currently facing, and I always keep that in mind when dining out. That said, service was painfully slow and the restaurant was not busy. The food was lackluster in general, and my seafood was not fresh. Very rarely do I write negative reviews, but this was overall a disappointing dining experience for me.

We had a reservation, in which we specifically requested to be seated outside, when we arrived we requested to be in the shade. We were taken to a table which was not in the shade, passing two empty tables in the shade. There was no explanation why we couldn’t be seated at one of the other tables when we went back up to inquire. Unfortunately, the hostess was very non communicative regarding our request and while we were finally able to be seated at one of the open shaded tables, the whole experience was very unpleasant.

Service was fine though the waitress never came to ask how our food was until 20 mins after it was served. Had she asked, I would have told her that my medium rare $65 filet was only cooked on one side, so tar tar.

Food was good but the service was really poor. I understand all restaurants are under staff and it really felt this way. The cocktails took a long time to come. We had to pour our own wine which is ok but not at the prices they charge at this restaurant . My husband’s prime rib wasn’t that great. My duck was excellent, so was our crispy merengue dessert.

Food was wonderful but was a disappointment that the service was not up to the level standards of the restaurant. We had to flag our waiter down for a second Mimosa. We had to ask for more water. We were not attended to in the way we thought would’ve been appropriate.

Solbar was recommended and we arrived on time for our reservation. After being seated with menus we sat for 15 minutes before receiving water and being acknowledged. The wait continued another 5-6 minutes before a waiter appeared and asked for our drink order. My husband asked for the drink menu and we put in our food order. The food arrived by a food runner but still no drink order. Finally the waitress stopped by asking about the food and then for the drink order. Our fish tacos were good but not outstanding for a high end resort and restaurant. The service was less than acceptable and would not return or recommend to anyone else.

Our waitress, Stephanie, was AMAZING! The food was great and came out hot. The cocktails were also pretty good but not the best I’ve ever had. We were skeptical because the restaurant is in a hotel and we were not staying at Solbar Hotel. Even if you aren’t staying here, go eat at the restaurant. It certainly was worth it.
