Solar Do Minho Ratings and Reviews
Food and sangria here are always good. Rodizio isn’t expensive and the meat keeps coming. Only issue was service was beyond slow. First we had 730 reservations. Waited 40 minutes at table. We sit down and we’re getting rushed to order. Than another 20 minutes before drinks and plates come. After that all good. Just SLOW
What can be said that hasn't already been said. The food is always great. The service was great. Had a great time and I will be back with more people. This was my company's Xmas dinner. This is the second year coming here. Love the place. I come here with my family as often as I can.
Overall a great dining experience. A little disappointed with the stuffed flounder, expected a larger percent of crab in the filling. 6 of us and all other meals were awesome. Large portions and great sides. Staff was fantastic. Very helpful and knowledgeable. great sangria. Just a little noisy. But will definitely return .
Food was vey good, staff was friendly. Restaurant was packed and it's valet parking. There was a line of customers in the cold for over 20 min because there was only one guy running cars, so I asked for my keys and walked to my car down the street. Other than that it was a good experience.
Food is good ... the service is really bad.... this is the second and it’s the same bad service as the first experience .
They hand your plate and ask you to pass it to person next to you ... had to ask 3 Times for water . Some people orders the Rodezio and the just did not get enough food .
Had dinner with my wife and 25 year old son. My son and I ordered the Rodizio and my wife ordered from the menu. My wife ordered a soup appetizer. My son and I sat and waited. I finally asked the waiter if he was waiting for my wife to finish her hot soup before my son and I were served. He said yes. We explained that it was not necessary. Not a big deal, might have been better if the server had asked.
The food was good, the place is a little loud; however, I have never been to a rodizio type restaurant that was not loud.
Drinks were a bit expensive, $10.50 for house wine. $12.00 for Jack Daniels on the rocks.
Normally I have a great time here but this time around not so much. It was very busy in the main dining room and we sat in the bar area. The usually attentive staff couldn’t be bothered. And the food wasn’t on point as they usually are. I did notice that one of the usual chefs were not there. No water, no check in...nothing. A bit disappointed and maybe our waiter was having an off day. I’ll go back, just cross my fingers next time for service.
We've been to Solar do Minho quite a few times, and always had an excellent dining experience. So it was no surprised that our daughter wanted to have dinner there for her birthday. She, her husband, and a good friend of theirs joined me, my wife, and my mother-in-law for dinner. Everything about the experience was handled efficiently and well, from handing off our vehicles to the valet parking staff, to being seated, waited upon, and served. The rodizio was excellent, as usual, with terrific variety and deliciously seasoned. The servers were appropriately attentive as we ate and drank. The owners and staff should be proud to be part of what is clearly one of the best restaurants in New Jersey.
